| Healing and Seal Techniques | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This
section contains explanations, game mechanics, and other information
for all the healing and seal techniques. These are basically Ninjutsu,
but really are used in a way all to their own, so they are placed
seperately. Healing Jutsu, invented by Tsunade, are very effective in
keeping a ninja team alive, whereas sealing Jutsu usually have
specialty uses, but are probably the most powerful of all Ninjutsu. Note: The links on the names are to clips of them from Naruto-fan.com Please don't view them over and over and over, as we're technically stealing their bandwidth. Seal Techniques Curse Seal A Byakugan exclusive skill, this is used on all Branch family members, and can be activated by a Head family member. It also automatically activates when the Byakugan wielder dies. Curse Seal Ignite This is the skill that activates a Byakugan wielders Curse Seal. It kills the target. Cursed Seal A seal Orochimaru has made to ensure that his minions will be reliable, this sealing technique not only forces people to his will, but in addition can be 'released' for a short period of time. There are two stages to the seal, and although Orochimaru only gives the first to most of his minions, the more advanced pupils can come back and learn the second, allowing further power, but further binding them into service. Orochimaru causes this seal by biting individuals after performing it, and can even affect the unwilling with it. For game use, if you become a minion of Orochimaru, he will first give you stage one of the seal. You can go back and "learn" the skill again if you wish, thereby acquiring stage two of its power. Before a battle you can opt to release stage 1 or stage 2, which will give the following bonuses: Unlocking stage 1 will reduce your maximum stamina by 5, but increase your temporary stamina by 5 and give +1 to Taijutsu, Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. Stage 2 can only be used after using stage one, and will increase Gen/Nin/Taijutsu by an additional 1, and give 10 temp stamina. However, unlocking stage 2 requires 10 max stamina to perform instead of 5. These increases can take your Gen/Nin/Tai above 10, and your temp stamina above your max stamina. Evil Sealing A simple sealing technique used by Kakashi, this can temporarily remove the effects of a Cursed Seal, but doesn't actually eliminate it. It works by locking its power with the users emotions, so if they become too weak or stressed in combat, the barrier against the offensive seal will fail. Impure World Resurrection Another one of Orochimaru's forbidden sealing Jutsus, this also requires live sacrifices to perform. The user creates a wooden sarcophagous and a clay model of the person they wish to bring back to life, using a part of their body in the clay, maybe a few hairs or something. They then kill a sacrifice for each person to be resurrected, their soul being used to link the resurectee's soul to this world. After all this preparation is achieved, the user can summon these resurrected people in the same way as a person would normally use Kyuuchiyose. Each person can only be summoned once in this method, so while it is not a very practical skill, saving it for your huge, end all battle and summoning all the dead Hokage's can be a handy thing. Metampsychosis The skill that caused Orochimaru to leave the village of Konoha, this forbidden technique requires a live sacrifice to perform, and can only be used once every 3 years. It implants the users soul into the body of the sacrifice, thereby granting a version of eternal youth and immortality. Shikufuujin The greatest of all sealing techniques, this secret, forbidden jutsu of the Hokage's uses your own life to summon the Shinigami, or God of Death. By offering up your own soul, the Shinigami will seal other souls for you, or perhaps even multiple souls, depending on the strength of your own will. It can even take part of a soul if you don't have enough energy to seal all of it. This jutsu can be incredibly powerful, but just using it once will kill you. Shishienjin A very strong sealing technique, this requires four ninjas with it to perform. It creates a rectangular barrier between the four ninjas, that nobody can cross while the ninjas stay immobile. Healing Techniques Basic Healing Jutsu Medical Ninjas are a very specialized field, and only certain individuals are deemed worthy enough to possess their abilities. Not a skill per se, this ability shows an acknowledgement of your abilities, and allows your trainer to teach the rest of the medical skills. Central Nervous System Collapse Another skill that has both an offensive and a healing element, Central Nervous System Collapse lets you positively or negatively rework a persons nerve endings by touching an area close to their spine. Suddenly your friends don't feel as much pain to a certain area, or when your enemies try to move their right arm, it moves their left leg. Just like Chakra Scalpel, it increases your temp stamina healing ability by 1 per combat, and when used as a weapon can be very effective. Chakra Scalpel Although not used as a healing skill in the show, this ability allows the ninja to project their Chakra through their hand to create a blade able to cut internal organs and muscle tissue without touching the skin. When used as a healing implement it can increase temp stamina healing ability by 1 per combat, but when used as a weapon it allows you to cut muscles without breaking the skin. Elementary Healing, Healing Adept and Healing Mastery These skills refer to the variety of ways a medical Ninja can use their chakra to heal an ally. Everything from quick medical attention to long term injury healing, curing poisons and the like. For game use, each medical ninja can cure a specific amount of temporary stamina damage during a battle, and at the end of a battle every ninja will regain a number of lost maximum stamina comparable to the max healing skill level of the ninjas in the squad. So, if one ninja has Healing Adept, and one Healing Mastery, while both could cure temp stamina damage mid-combat, only the Masters skill would be used to heal max stamina damage afterwords. Healing done in this way can only take stamina scores to what they were when the battle started. Each healing skill level incurs 5 temp stamina healed during the battle, and 2 max at the end. So it goes 5/2, 10/4, and 15/6 as the levels go up. In addition, any ninja with a healing skill can spend a day healing an ally while they make a resting action. This will heal an additional 5 stamina per level of healing skill. Genesis of Rebirth Tsunade's forbidden healing ability, Genesis of Rebirth is used over time, collecting unused Chakra over the day and storing it in a special place on the body, in Tsunade's case a jewel-like object on her forehead. When necessary, the user of the Genesis can unlock the chakra, which instantly heightens the body's regenerative properties, repairing tissue and energizing them at the same time. The problem with this skill is, since body cells can only multiply a certain number of times, each time the Chakra is released for the Jutsu, the users natural lifespan is shortened. For game use, someone with Genesis of Rebirth can rest or take the 5 chakra healing they get during the day, and put it into a "storehouse" on their roster list, where the number can go up to that of their max stamina. So if your max stamina is 50, you could rest and put 20 into your storehouse per day, till your Jutsu list said "Genesis of Rebirth(50)". At any time you may release the Chakra storehouse in the Genesis (you must release all of it, not part), half of which will instantly heal temp stamina damage, and half of which will heal max stamina damage, in the same way healing skills repair it after a fight. Poisoncraft and Advanced Poisoncraft This section of skills covers making poisons, as well as making antidotes for them. You get better at it the higher your Ninjutsu score is. Trade Lifeforce Chiiyo's forbidden healing ability, this allows you to put your Chakra into another person. Essentially, it allows you to give another person your temporary or maximum stamina. This -does- count as stamina damage, however, and every 10 points of temp you give will result in 1 max stamina being lost. If done in a non-combat scenario this can be healed with your own Healing abilities. |
