Introduction
Thracs RPG is a Play-By-Email Role-Playing-Game (PBEM RPG) based on the All-Anime style of RPG in years past. For those of you new to PBEM RPGs, a short explanation. PBEM RPGs are a type of RPG where you create your own character from scratch and watch it grow. Characters have two ways of interacting with the RPG world.
- First, there are Actions. Actions encompass things such as player vs player battles and missions. A player can make 1 or more Actions per update, so long as the player has enough STAMINA to cover the action cost (see the Update Schedule and Action sections below for more details).
- Second, there are Roleplays. Roleplaying is handled on the forum, and is a way for you to develop and direct your character's progression directly by posting in-character tales. Roleplaying does not impact your character's growth directly, but allows staff and other players to have an idea how to write your character better. Not to mention, its just pure fun.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Standard Conduct Rules while dealing with other players in the RPG.- RESPECT YOURSELF: This game is meant to be fun. If you feel another player, staff, or other individual is upsetting you unjustly, please feel free to speak your mind to a staff member or myself (Scarth). Noone should endure unjust harrassment, and we/I'll do our/my best to correct the matter immediately.
- RESPECT OTHERS: The same goes for your fellow players. Teasing and jests are all in good fun, but refrain from being too personal or negative in your dealings with others. After all, we're all here to have fun.
- RESPECT STAFF: The staff, updaters and writers, work hard to present us with this game. Please do show them patience, and if you feel a staff member is byist, report it to me rather than making a display in chat/forum.
- RESPECT NON-PLAYERS: Opening the floodgates of 'everything is joinable' comes with a certain precaution. Please respect copyrights. While this is a fanbased game and only intended for fun (aka no money involved), we must respect the property of others. If an image or character used is the property of another, and they request you not to use it in this game, please accomadate their request.

Raising the level of an Attribute by any number of points does not count as an action. However, the designated raise will not be taken into account for any battles until the following update. Raising the level of an Attribute another points costs 10 EXP.STRENGTH

Crafting
Techniques created in this fashion are entirely customizable by the PC, though limitations may be imposed by Staff to ensure balance. In general, Techniques are individual PC specific. However, If two or more PCs opt to do so, they can create an even more powerful Technique that requires each players together to use.Techniques
To craft a new Technique, 10 EXP and a Crafting-Action are required. Techniques themselves are split into 4 categories.MELEE
- Weapons or Abilities designed to strike an opponent in close quarters.
RANGED
- Weapons or Abilities designed to strike an opponent from a distance.
STATE
- Transformations or other alternate modes a user can activate to provide a unique benefit while maintained.
ALLY
- Beings or devices able to function independently in aid of the user.
Stamina
Any given action require a certain amount of time and energy for the PC to perform, measured in STAMINA. In order to perform an action, the PC must have enough STAMINA to covered the specified COST (see the ACTIONS section above for specific Stamina Costs).Damage/Death
After an engagement, a PC is likely to receive damage, regardless of victory or defeat. However, due to the abundance of highly advanced medicine and curative magic in the world of Thracs, even death is only a temporary setback and easily cured by the next doctor or medic passing by the PC's corpse.Final Death
FINAL DEATH is not a common occurence in the RPG thanks to the presence of advanced medicine and curative magic, but under certain circumstances can still occur. Final Death can only be acheived two ways, either by use of a QUICKENING (2 PCs involved in a BRAWL fight to the end, the winner absorbing the looser's very soul) or undertaking an INSTANCE or TOURNAMENT that specifies FINAL DEATH as a likely outcome.-
FINAL DEATH PENALTY / QUICKENING: Winner gains access to
all Techniques of the Looser, including UNIQUE Techniques.
Looser's Attributes all decrease by 1 point, to a minimum of
Zero. Looser relinquishes access to UNIQUE Techniques.
Respawn
Upon experiencing Final Death, the fallen character's soul can be used to grant its powers to that of a new character. The PC then creates a new character, that will inherit all Techniques and Stats of the fallen character (minus the Attributes lost due to the Final Death Penalty mentioned above).-
RESPAWNING counts as an Action for the day. To Respawn, remember to
include the new character's name in the action email and to generate
a new Profile on the forum.
