This RPG is entirely fan-made and fan-run. The content of this site is entirely fan created and used solely for the purposes of playing the game for fun. No monetary or other compensation is exchanged. This website has also strived to avoid plagairism or copyright-infringement. If however you feel any content of yours was improperly used / used without permission / etc., please feel free to contact the site STAFF and we will do our best to correct the offending issue. Thank you for your understanding.

WHAT IS ZOMBOCATHRACS?

ZOMBOCATHRACS is a RPG set after the onset of a zombie apocalypse. Players represent survivors of the apocalypse and the makeshift sanctuaries they have forged. Players must salvage the wastes to obtain armaments and items necessary for their continued survival, as well as recruit any other useful survivors they may encounter. How players approach this is entirely up to the individual. Do you raid another group of survivors and steal their supplies? Do you scavenge through the various ruins for useful materials? Do you work with other survivors to establish a chain of support? Do you focus on salvaging what remains of society and gain a technological edge? The choice is yours. But keep in mind, your fellow players have the same options...

CODE OF CONDUCT

Being a RPG, a large portion of the game is roleplaying and interaction (both social and in-game) between the various players. As such, there are a few rules that, while perhaps assumed, need to be mentioned. 1) RESPECT OTHERS: Remember this is a community. Your fellow players are here for fun just as you are. Treat them with respect. If you feel you are being unfairly harrassed or mistreated by the community or a specific member of it, please feel free to notify a STAFF member immediately so the issue can be resolved ASAP. 2) RESPECT THE LAW: Not all players are from the same country, and as such listing the specific internet usage laws is not trully feasible. You, however, should know your local laws regarding the internet. Please obey such laws, especially regarding copyright/fair-usage or sexual material. If you notice any player (or something on the site itself) violating such laws, please notify a STAFF member immediately so the issue can be resolved ASAP. 3) REMEMBER THIS IS A GAME: The nature of this game will likely involve player conflict, including backstabs or worse. Please remember to keep things civil when in-chat, on the forum, or elsewhere, and remember to enjoy yourself. If something bad happens to your character, don't rage-quit. Discuss your options with the STAFF. There's no reason for the STAFF to dedicate the numerous hours needed to run this game if noone is having fun. 4) RESPECT STAFF: STAFF are only human and perform their duties for free. If you feel a STAFF member is being unfair or made an error, remain civil and approach another STAFF member for a second opinion. 5) WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER: Remember this is a community. Feel free to report anything you notice not in place. Not only the illegal or disruptive content (as mentioned above), but ideas you may have to help the RPG. New game mechanics, spelling errors detected, spam or other malicious hacks/bloating of the site, chat, and forum's limited resources, and so forth. In advance, the STAFF and other players thank you for any and all contributions you can make.

MAP

MAP

The MAP is broken down into several Regions. Each Region contains several Landmarks, including any Sanctuaries created by the players. Landmarks are various points of interest that may contain useful armaments/items/followers, friendly NPC survivors forming their own Sanctuary, and/or congregations of hostile forces (rabid animals, bandits, etc). Not all Landmarks are visible from the start, some must be discovered through various means.
PLAYER DETAILS

SANCTUARY

The player's home. Sanctuaries house armaments, items, and followers the player has recruited as well as recover any existing conditions the player has. Certain Survivors, Items, and Armaments will provide the Sanctuary with unique bonuses or features when stored there. For more details, see the SANCTUARY page.

EXPERIENCE

The player's knowledge of combat, social interactions, and general survivability. Actions performed by the player will usually provide a certain point reward (see the ACTIONS section on this page for specific rewards). These points can be spent on ATTRIBUTES (spending points does not count as an action).

ATTRIBUTES

The player's array of skills usable on his/her adventures. Attributes provide the player with various bonuses. Attributes can be purchased by spending earned Experience points. For more details, see the ATTRIBUTES page.

LOCATION

The player's current location. Includes the Region and, if applicable, current Landmark.

CONDITION

The player's physical and mental health. Conditions provide unique effects on the player, the majority negative. Conditions can be removed by visiting a friendly Sanctuary or trading with a Merchant. Certain Items may inflict a Condition when used. For more details, see the CONDITIONS page.

INVENTORY

A track of the player's personnel possessions. These include Armaments, Items, and Followers.

      ARMAMENTS

Armor and Weapons the player carries on his/her adventures. Armaments are inherently designed for combat, usually to help inflict or mitigate damage in some capacity. Armaments can be stored at a friendly Sanctuary or traded with a Merchant. For more details, see the ARMAMENTS page.

      ITEMS

Useful items that the Player carries on his/her adventures. Items are not inherently designed for combat (though creative use of items is possible to fulfill such a role), usually serving more utilitarian roles. Items can be stored at a friendly Sanctuary or traded with a Merchant. For more details, see the ITEMS page.

      FOLLOWERS

Survivors that accompany the Player on his/her adventures. Followers stock and maintain their own items and armaments based upon their Class. Also, some Classes are naturally more adept at certain tasks than others. For more details, see the FOLLOWERS page.
TRAVELLING
