Not that I want to run another RPG any time soon, but maybe somebody does.
James and I were talking about this.
You could do a 4-6 week RPG using my Naruto system, where the entire RPG would be one single elimination tournament.
You'd start with enough training points to have a character at Chuunin or Jounin level or so, and every update of the game you'd have like 2 matches in the tournament, with people maybe being given 1 day to figure out a strategy for their next stage match.
People who were not having matches could train for future matches, although the idea would be for stage matches to be happening pretty much all the time.
If you had 32 people and did 2 matches a day, the RPG would last approximately 16 updates. You could even make the finals a best of 3.
What do people think about this?

Show them at the end of the game, or only show objectives which have already been completed/failed. Pretty much this.

Name: Luke Forte Age: 25 Eye Color: Blue Hair Color: Brown Height: 6 ft 2 Weight: 210 lbs
Personality: Known more for being a joker and being unable to keep quiet(is unable to master the art of STFU). In battle he will make lewd comments to both superior officers and subordinates.
Prior Service: Served as a mobile suit pilot during the battle of Solomon and the battle of A Bao Qu. During both battles he had accounted for multiple successful attacks on enemy Zeon ships thus earning him ace status. Recently he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and given a GM Custom. Usually he has been kept on a tight leash because of his unpredictable personality, but since the Delaz Forces theft of the Gundam Unit 2 he has been "cut loose" and allowed to enter the conflict.

Shouldn't there be more objectives that simply what's in the show? In which case, Rogues and EF/Zeon grunts shouldn't have the privelege of seeing each faction's objectives.
Also, shouldn't the objective adapt as the war progresses?

I wouldn't show to anyone but Rogues.
And by that I mean don't show them at all.

So, I made a list of objectives for each side, and how much points they're worth.
This way at the end of the game we can see 4 srs which side won the game and if it was a narrow victory or if they completely owned the other side.
However, I don't know if I should post what the objectives are. I know there are at least SOME people who haven't watched the show, and I feel like a list of objectives might ruin a lot of the story surprise for people, or might make people metagame more than is appropriate.
So I'm wondering what you guys would prefer on that one. Would you like to see the objective list and how much points each thing is worth, or would you prefer to figure it out for yourselves.
It's all common sense stuff really, primary objectives are shit that has to do with the GP02, secondary objectives are stuff like blow up bases and fleets while keeping your bases and fleets alive.

...October 20th, 0083 What a waste, why would someone waste their life at a time like this? Orin stared out into the empty void of space as he read over the report of his subordinate's idiocy. That fool had what was coming to him though, how he thought he would pull that past Nimue was baffling; She hadn't survived this long by not being careful. "What a moron..." The Schutzstaffel officer balled the report up and tossed it into a waste basket. He should have known better, that operative had given off an uneasy vibe; he should have shot Kratos himself.... These events had left Orin with even more questions than he had before. He and his fellow soldiers had spent so much time hiding, and running - How many others had thought about betraying their allegiances? Was it Cima that ordered him to do so? "Ugh... Is she that selfish?" He shook his head as he clinched his fist. That woman was going to drive him crazy if it was the last thing she did. Orin slammed his fist on the table and abruptly stood up from his seat. The Obersturmbannfuhrer needed a walk; he was not about to let his resolve waiver because of the mistakes of the ignorant and traitorous... "Sieg Zeon...."

When I did this it was via Dans instructions and cost me 7$. Dan is a faggot. However, I have since learned how to do it and not have it cost 7$. Step 1Go to the IGN website and make a free IGN account. www.ign.comStep 2Sign up for IGN prime. Make sure the 30 day free trial option is there. It will NOT be there if you do not sign up for a free account first. Step 3Give them your credit card info. They will not charge you till after 30 days are up, but you need to be sure to cancel the account! I am going to leave mine open for like 2 weeks so as to not look suspicious. Step 4Put in your IGN prime info here: login.ign.com/prime/promos/world-of-tanks/preview/ and then hit Log In Now. Step 5Go to the World of Tanks website, log in, and click the enter promo code button and enter the promo code you got from Step 4. game.worldoftanks.com/Step 6Repeat as desired. You can actually sign multiple emails up for free IGN Prime accounts on the same card, and plug multiple promo codes into 1 World of Tanks account, and all of the benefits carry through. Step 7Profit! WHAT YOU GET1 - 7 days of Premium. While Premium is activated you get more credits and more EXP for missions, and can Platoon 3 people instead of 2. 2 - The M3 Stuart. It's a pretty mediocre Tier 3 Light Tank, but it's not terrible, and if you don't like it it sells for 170,000 credits. Note that premium tanks net higher credit gains and lower repair costs. ADDENDUM TO 2 - A Vlad Protip: You can't have two of the same tank in your garage, so if you sign up for multiple promo codes, be sure to sell your Stuart before inputting a new code. 3 - 1 extra tank slot (Your brand new Stuart goes in it) 4 - 750 gold.

Allen scrolled through the on-board database inside the his Gouf's cockpit, examining all the information he had on Federation movements. He scoffed, flying through each piece of info, more frustrated with the next. His last contract was a real flop, chasing around a white rabbit. Before he knew it, the rabbit had escaped down its hole.
He let out a sigh.
Fighting against the Federation has been more of a struggle with himself than he was trying to make for the Feds. Freelance work helped keep him busy, but it wasn't enough. The lives of his squad mates were worth more than just pirating or being a bandit. A famous highwayman isn't going to strike fear into the Federation or redeem his squad's lost honor. No, not one bit. They had bigger things to worry about, like the stolen Gundam prototype.
Another sigh.
He had heard mention slip from his benefactors about Delaz having a major hand in this fiasco. It was encouraging to him to hear that Zeon still had the guts to continue fighting, planning ever so carefully from he shadows. It was brilliant. While all the same, it was depressing; the fact that he wasn't really involved in any of this was disheartening. Allen would have loved to take his Gouf to Australia in assistance in extracting the Gundam. To see the look on the Federation boys' faces again in panic would be a sight for any sore soldier's eyes.
Allen looked up towards the open skies above.
March 14th, 0081 - Forests of India, Eclipse Intervention of Earth Federation Supply Convoy
"Lyle?! Where is that covering fire? Those Guntanks have us pinned down over here!" Allen roared into the radio, his Gouf and Bryan's Dom trying to take refuge against the artillery.
"Hey! Don't start that with me now! I took up the position you told me to earlier and it isn't giving me the best vantage point in all this rain! The ledges all gave out to the water, anyhow!"
"Boys! Cut it out! Unless you can predict the weather 100%, then I don't want to hear any bickering out of you until we are done here! Dirk, try and chase the Type 74's out of hiding, that should get those Guntanks to ease up on their fire," Astrid said as her Zaku II E observed the battle from afar.
"You got it! I just wish the skies waited to open up until after we were done here."
"Don't worry, I'm sure Allen had taken this into account before we jumped in," Bryan assured his squad, his Dom taking a peek to try and find an opening.
"This rain is better for us, in the long run. It slowed our start but they are the ones that are having to fight blind, almost. We have them frantic and corralled! Just keep at it!"
He felt something was happening. Something bigger than just a hijacking. What did Delaz have up his sleeve that took him this long to plan out? Would Allen have some role in this act, without even realizing it? Could he even contribute to the coming conflict? He took a moment to ponder.
"What would you guys do in my position?" Allen questioned to the wind, half-whispering.
His friends appeared around Allen, briefly, looking happy and excited. Just like when they came back home that day. All of them glad to see one another, safe and sound.
Another sigh.
He wasn't ready for the things to come. Not nearly close enough. Not nearly strong enough. However, maybe the stagnant resistance against the Federation was a sign for him. Maybe he time was up in this war. His Gouf surely showed that it had seen more than its fair share of combat since he first set foot inside it's cockpit.
"Tired, old man? It sure feels that way to me, I'll agree. Maybe we'll find a home out in the stars," he finished, shrugging.
