Tael thorn
height: 5'11"
weight: 130
hair: dirty blonde- short (covered with bandana)
Often jokingly referred to as the "Pirate" by his comrades, Tael always ears a bandana, usually black, on his head. He is seldom seen not wearing it and is vehement that it's purpose is to keep the sweat out of his eyes. This nickname has been further encouraged by his love of unique objects found on the battle field. Bits of armor, an intact fired round from a zaku's main gun, and anything that catches his eye and is small enough to keep will be brought back to base to decorate his quarters. Some of his larger "treasures" decorate the yard behind whatever bases he has been stationed on. Of course rumors abound about secret areas where large amounts of his souveniers are buried for safe keeping. These rumors have persisted so much that when he decides not to take a more commonly traveled route to a location; other soldiers quiet confused comrades by saying "oh don't worry, he just dosen't want us to find his booty".
Tael does not speak of his home or life previous to war and has referred to it as "another life", which has only fueled the fire on the pirate nickname.
Normal behavior: Tael has learned that the best way to stay alive is to not allow a zaku to see you. As such he has been known to target thier mono-eye sight whenever possible. He also has a deep appreciation for traditional warfare emphasising the use of trip lines and other such devices to hamper or immobilize enemy suits. After all, a hobled zaku is better than a running zaku.
Tael can often be observed mumbling to himself in high stress combat situations, usually as an outlet for a desire outside of his control such as a mobile suit patrol spotting an artillery encampment or while sneaking past an unexploded ordinance.
He also scavenges abandoned buildings for simple supplies such as bandages, munitions, and local foods to make life easier for himself and his platoon.
He preferes to not waste ammunition on innaccurate attacks but, understands the need for distractions to lure or split the attention of enemy units.
