Can anyone loan me 27 RP? It hurts me to say this, but I won't be participating in the Malta attack in order to hit the Federation's Medea fleet that's menacing North Africa right now.
I need the 27 RP so I can afford a second flight service of Dopps tomorrow.
If you send me 27 RP, post here and I'll pay you back on Monday.

Okay people, here's the situation:
1) Due to a misunderstanding of the rules and a necessary delay in terms of movement for ship purchases, we're pushing back the attack to Thursday. What this means is that, on Wednesday, we are going to be holding position in Europe for ONE more day - it's annoying but we have no choice at this point.
2) On Thursday, we will form the fleet and attack. All of you are going to need to e-mail on that day saying you wish to attack Malta alongside our fleet, using my plan.
2a) Chris' internet was down all night so we didn't really get to work any more on a plan, but I promise a final draft will be available to view by tomorrow night.
2b) Right now we're trying to figure out how to transport everyone who is going to participate from mainland Europe to the island of Malta during the attack quickly and efficiently. There isn't going to be enough room within the Gaw, Jukons, and fleet support for all of you to fit, so my original plan was to stash a ton of Dodais in the fleet so that everyone (even if they were individuals acting in coordination with the fleet) could cross the sea. It doesn't appear that will be viable, so we're working on a potential fix for this. Worst comes to worst, I guess the Gaw and Jukons will provide cover while you guys swim or float across.
3) So far I've got the following people locked in for participating:

Zero - Marko Dresner, TAF (Zaku II S - 2x Zaku II J, L2 Zaku II K )
Ender - Markos Steiner, TAF (Gouf - Zaku II J, Zaku II K, Dodai YS)

Ryocha - Ferusha Glavadeen, MAF (Zaku II F)
Scarth - Kasey Greer, MAF (Infantry - 2x L2 Marines)
Cloud - Yuji Takeshi, SS (Apsalus)
Chris - Xaviar Brennan, SS (Z'gok - Luggun, L2I Acquy, L2 Aggugguy, Acguy )
Orichi - Ernest Till, TAF (Zaku II K - L2 Luggun, L2 Zaku II J, L2 Zaku II K)
Andrew - Alain Grace, TAF (Efreet)
Dan - Ritter Novosad, SS (Panzergrenadiers)
That brings our total forces to the following:
PC mobile suits - 8
PC mobile armors - 1
PC infantry units - 1
PC panzergrenadier units - 1
NPC mobile suits - 13
NPC aircraft - 10
PC ships - 3
As you can see, if we get the expected turnout (which I would LOVE) this would easily be the largest event of the RPG so far, and along with the massive VP / CP gains we would conquer a base that I truly believe could have significant long-term value.
I would also like to point out that it is highly likely we will purchase 2x Flight Support totaling up to 10 more Dopps, giving us a total of 20 aircraft vs their 30sh in conditions where our fighters should easily outperform theirs.
tl;dr version:
- The attack has been moved back to Thursday, if you are in Europe please Overwatch tomorrow (although I think everyone is safe).
- The plan for the attack and all purchases will be finalized tomorrow and available on the board for discussion and analysis.
- On Thursday we will form the fleet and attack in one fell swoop. Most people participating won't be able to fit on the fleet, but it will be just as effective if you say you wish to attack alongside the fleet using my plan (the one Chris and I are working on that will be posted on the forum tomorrow).
- Please hold steady, this attack is going to be awesome and worth the wait.

So when we send our e-mails to attack Malta on Thursday, do we actually attack that day, or on Monday? Edit: Also even though Dodais can't be part of the fleet, you can give Dodais to individual people (or rather give them credit to do so if you can't directly give them the Dodais), and the PCs fly over, and attack with the fleet, while the main group of NPCs paradrops, and anybody left comes over via fjording.  |

I think it would be an attack that day. The mines were hit instantly so I dont think theres that day delay anymore

MALTA ATTACK IS TODAY!
Everyone participating needs to send an e-mail that includes the following:
Couple things for Chris and Dan - make sure you guys remember to say in your e-mail (before the attacking part) that you wish to group your ships up with mine to form the fleet "Train," which will be under my command. Also, Zero or Chris, it doesn't look like I have the money to buy the 2x Flight Support after all, could you take care of that? I can pay you back on Monday, the 10x Dopp are going to help a lot.
