Alright, well another week is done and we aren't looking too bad currently but who knows what we will be like after the white base event. However, this doesn't mean that we can't continue to plan and do other things.
I hope everyone will post a lot of ideas in this thread for us to do stuff, so I guess I will start off with my ideas.
Week 8
Summary:
Week 8 will feature a large number of Zeon forces massed in one location on the map, as most all of them are in North America. Their entire fleet is in that location as well. I would say most people at the White Base event are going to take at least 3 days worth of damage, this gives us some time to move before we are going to be placed in another engagement with the zeon earth forces. Unless they all move to California Base they are going to have to move through patrols in order to get to anywhere else on earth and this means they will likely move to the West Arctic as it is the least defended due to the lack of defences at New Amsterdam. I feel we would have two goals during this week, the first would be to fortify our position in New Amsterdam and the second would be to put our fleet in position for an attack on another Zeon Fortification which I would suggest as Vladivostok. This would the easiest location for us to assault as it is near the West Arctic allowing for quick support movements if needed.
Week 8 Budget:
We will be able to get about 3500 at most more then likely during week 8 so this is the number I am using to estimate our rough purchasing power.
New Amsterdam Work:
Repair Cellblock: 50 RP
Repair Airfield: 50 RP
Repair Outer wall: 50 RP
Repair Repair Bay: 200 RP
Targeting Facility: 400 RP
1 x Howitzer: 180 RP
5 x MPC Turret: 450 RP
17 x AA Turret: 153 RP
5 x Cannon Turret: 135 RP
5 x SAM Turret: 90 RP
5 x Depth Charge: 90 RP
10 x Infantry: 90 RP
Total Cost: 2138 RP
Remaining Budget: 1362 RP
Himalaya Purchase:
23 x Tin Cod: 207 RP
New Hillock Purchase:
1 x Hillock: 630 RP
RP Reserve: 525 RP
This reserve is for use as services through out the week when needed.
Week 8 Detailed:
Monday:
The Fleet should reform on the monday of the next week and move to the West Arctic as it will b repaired. This day we shall have several people move to the East Arctic in order to get a good scouting of Vladivostok on Tuesday. Those who are currently damaged from North America will move to the West Arctic. Collection of RP should take place on this day.
Tuesday:
Our PCs should split into two sections, those heavily damaged or upgrading shall move to the New Amsterdam (this probably will be a large section of the EFGF) while those who are not as heavily damaged shall move with the fleet. The fleet will then move to the East Arctic. Those who were sent to do a scouting will it attempt it today against Vladivostok.
Wednesday:
If the base is scouted we assault this day more then likely. This is due to the fact that I really don't want to spend a day against a Howitzer while we can not fire back upon it when we enter a seige. I am looking to hire a rogue in order to help us in this situation and perhaps use a terrorist attack against the Howitzer. If the base is not scouted we have a decision to make, the first might be to re-attempt the scouting while entering a siege and hope the howitzer doesn't hurt our ships too badly during the first days actions. A note however on this day, if we see that the Zeon forces are trying to punch into the West Arctic we might move back this day. Our advantage comes in the fact that our patrols can pretty much always stop them from performing a paradrop attack and limit the waves of Zeon PCs that can flood in at once.
Thursday:
I am going to try to limit the amount of RP that we spend on New Amsterdam until the last moment, why? It is quite simple if we are able to take Vlad by this day we would want to instantly secure it, what is the quickest way to do this? By adding patrols and performing a build action on this day. This would be considered the optimal result for the entire weeks actions as two sets of allied territories in the Arctic would be a nice track to be able to quickly and safely move about the globe. It also provides a launch point for any future attacks into Central Asia with has been otherwise protected from any such threat. If we haven't taken Vladivostok by this point we might seige it for a while but we should consider our options as there is a very large Zeon fleet out there..
Week 9
Summary
I don't really want to go into too many details for week 9 as it is quite a long way into the future but the basic results of any actions in week 8 where we have the chance to be offensive will suddenly be negated as there will be a large number of angry zeon forces that want to invade our newly claimed territory. The entire Zeon fleet (which is massive) will probably not move into the West Arctic on Thursday of Week 8.
Risks of this Plan
There are several things about this plan that worry me in some ways. The first is that their fleet is quite massive. They have a very large number of ships in North America. That would be:
2 Jukons, 1 Dobday, 2 Gaws, 1 Recon Gaw.
This means they will be able to field a LARGE number of forces against us and the fact that our fleet would be at another location means that we would basically have none of our fleet up against this large force, though we could have a large PC force. Since it would be in friendly territory when ever it enters, I would suggest we consider doing something along the lines of pestering tactics as much as possible while they are in allied territory. This will cause their PCs to gain fatigue and also we can delay attacks against our bases.
I hope everyone will post a lot of ideas in this thread for us to do stuff, so I guess I will start off with my ideas.
