The fleet has to remain still for the Samson to repair ships in the fleet.

Hmm. Then it looks like we're heading towards some sort of consensus. Awesomesauce, fellas! Awesomesauce.
Considering, at the least, we all seem to be in total agreement with what we want to do with South America -- how do you all feel about drafting up a plan for the regular Zeons, so we can tell them what's up for next week? We'll just outline the West Arctic and Belfast as long term goals, and give people a chance to comment on where they'd like to see us head next? That way it gives us longer to debate the issues, before we get too excited and commit ourselves to the goals.
If you all want, I'll write up the post on the regular Zeon forums later tonight before I hit the sack. Unless either Chris or Matthew would prefer to handle it? I'm fine either way.
Now I must go for reals! (Stupid people cancelling plans and then pushing them back to ungodly hours!)

Have a Merry Christmas you all!

Since we've got the extra day, I'll wait for Matthew and Chris to respond on the go-ahead. Hope you all had an awesome Christmas.
Also…
I guess this is as good a place as any to bring it up, since we're dealing with plans post-Garma…
Following the 30th of December, my activity in OYW is going to take a huge hit. Might drop to 10 or 20% of its current level. Have to finish up a winter intercession class, move into a new place, and try to spend time with the family and friends while we’re all in town. Plus, once I’m in the new place, my PC is going into the living room as a “community terminal.” (In an effort to get my ever-fattening ass off the keyboard and back into human-sized jeans.) Then school starts up, and classes this semester ain’t going to be pretty.
So not a lot of time for OYW.
Because of this, do you all think it’d be better if I “resign my commission” and let a more active player take the MAF officer spot? Maybe let Daren move in (wasn’t he an EFSF space officer?) before he officially gets added. As much as I’ve loved being an officer (at least 95% of my 350+ posts have been on the officer of regular Zeon forums ^_^), I don’t want to hold Zeon back because I can’t commit time to the game. Of course, if you all don't see a problem, I'm also just as happy to sit back, follow your plans and comment where applicable (what I've been trying/wanting to do anyways, despite my obsession gene), and collect phat paychecks.
Let me know how you feel! Thanks!

Yeah if you guys are okay with it I can probably write up a summary for the main Zeon board tonight sometime. I apologize for being absent for the past couple days, but holidays + a random sleep schedule that leaves me passed out for 1-2 hours once or twice a day has kept me from adding much more to the discussion. It's also prevented me from writing an RP I wanna' do. /sadface As far as your upcoming reduced role, I have to say I am sad and will miss you! Without you, Chris and I will surely strangle each other to death. It's really up to you as far as what you would like to do. I see no reason (unless it is your preference) to resign your commission - even with a vastly-diminished voice on the officer forums I think you could still provide valuable insight for a long time. That's just my opinion though.

Congratulations on the runner-up planning prize, Matthew!
I'll more than happily let you pass along the plans to the regular Zeon, if you want. Again, I might suggest you only detail the first week or two of what we've devised, and then explain the long term goals and let people discuss from there. But it's up to you and Chris.
lol. If there aren't any stringent objections, I'll probably stay where I am. I figure a reduction of 10 - 20% activity will probably still put me better than any EFF officer ;). Just don't want to make you all suffer for lack of a more dedicated MAF commander.
