Ok, good, we still have the Gundam as our trump card. That does make things considerably easier for us. So um, will I have to take care of the fleet if Kira Yamato is the center of it? Also, I'm naming the fleet Fortress Freedom.

If we're lucky, his ship will be in too crappy of shape to come after us, and thus we'll only have to deal with whatever he buys to defend the mines. I tinks we should be goings after chan's 401(k)

I think Nirvash is right. Lat brought it up in a previous thread about chan possibly getting a railgun and holding 3e hostage. If we take the 401k out we take out that possibility.
Also because of the hanger capacity the 401k could possibly be the toughest to destroy if Chan intends to stregthn the defences of it.

If it looks like Chan's going to buff up 401(k) so much that it's silly to attack it, I recommend our secondary targets be overlords 2, 3, and 4. I know they're nearby 401k and all but we should be safe to do a hit and run on one of them, and it's not like we're going to be passing near Pezun, no sir.

Definitely good ideas. Taking out 401(k) would also revert it back to contested status, making Chan lose 160 RP a week as well as a repair base. Taking out 2-3 mines depriving him of 240-360 RP a week is attractive as well. Of course, you could split the strike force, trying to take out 401(k) and a mine, which would be 240 as well.

Certainly. I'm wary on the idea of splitting our strike force, I would think it'd be better to hit with as focused an attack as possible, but I'm not the most strategically savvy dude around. I know YOU mentioned splitting the team*, but what do you think are the pros and cons of that?
*man that was an awesome typo

I was thinking of having some NPC ships beat up one of the mines.

I guess that'd work pretty nicely given Chan doesn't beef up whatever mine we send them to too much

Ok I sort of thought this up on the fly. So It may not make sense but I thought it may help to keep everything organized and stuff. Below is a suggested escape route for each of the 3e locations for the split strikeforce for if the zeek pc's are coming your way to fight. It would seem because of our multiple strike teams we will need to use speed to our advantage. Like I said the below was something I just thought of so it may be slightly unorganized.
Side 2 mines: Jump over to Side 6 Neutral territory. If the zeeks follow anyone in there fighting it could strain diplomatic relations with Riah.
Side 4 mines: Jump over to Side 1 Neutral territory. Same thing as above exept with the CMP.
L3 mines: Their really isn't much of a escape plan for L3 without possibly complications taking place. You would have buy a baloon fleet shorty after entering 3e and then sending it out to attack the Solomon fleet to get its attention. If that is done you could then make a run for one of the mining sites in 3e on the same day. Like I said with L3 it seems complications could arrise.

I don't think Riah'd be too hot on us inserting a powerful military force into their airspa- spacespace.
Side 1* is a touch safer, but it's not like Zeon would be unable to come after us there.

Well If I was Riah I wouldn't be too please neither, but their is nothing that saids we cant park are ships there. I think the issue more then anything that send Riah through the roof is if we fight inside of their turf. From my understanding they wont give a damn about anything else.
As for it stoping the zeeks from attacking us, Well I didn't say it would keep them from attacking us it would give them a deterrent from attacking us.

Side 6 will get pissed if we make a routine of sending war fleets through there. Besides, Chan will be able to predict you going through 6 or 1 every time. Use them, don't abuse them, and sometimes, a straight charge to 3e might be a better shot.
