Not saying it should give additional chances. Just saying any post on the boards should give the same probability of promotion as posting on the normal zeon board would assuming that we also post on the zeon board as well.

I agree with the fact that I don't see much difference between them having a special board and just posting something with an SS tag.
The only reason I can imagine them having it is just to say they have a special board and to plot secretly against the rest of Zeon.

But again, I really don't care. I just don't see the point of it.
I don't think they should get any sort of special conisderation for things that they post there.

That's my point. The advantage to such a board would be the ability to make threads that the rest of Zeon couldn't see.
Nobody has given me any reason to think that anybody has any reason to do that.

I'm for an SS board since SS officers actually are a separate division, and as stated before, if there are issues with people on Zeon, they want a place to be able to plot how to best handle them. I'm down for it.

In terms of the game, the Newtype Korps merit their own board as well (More broadly, the MAF).The NK is just as, if not more, secret then the SS is. But eh, whatever, have fun with that lol I just don't see the point of it gamewise. Adding this in slightly late to the party: The difference between NT korp and SS is that the SS are actually in a position of command/power most of the time. Members of the NT korps exist to be used - the most we could plan is mutiny  |

I don't see how your point about SS people "handling" others is relevant in the game mechanics at all, Andrew.
It's not like they can stop anybody from doing anything.

The SS people are forgetting something: there's probably a few dozen different free message board services out there. You want a private place to plot the demise of every other Zeon? Go make your own forum.

I just figured since you have a relatively autonomous group with a separate command structure, it would be nice to give them an official place to plan if they need to plot the demise of other Zeeks.

Go make your own forum. Please stop crying in this thread. I know I wouldn't go about plotting to kill Zeon PCs due to nonperformance, on a board or off. The only thing I would see it being used for is deciding what fronts of the war are having issues, and deploying the troops to them to assist themselves and give their +5 VP/CP buff to the members fighting there. It'd cause the SS to be more spread out which I always thought would happen over time, but with the restrictions of the suits (Goufs are land only, Z'Gok as well.) it can be assumed SS won't be moving around too much between theaters so the idea of discussions would be short unless some SS officer wanted to pull a coup d'état. In this recent situation I'd pass on having the board. |

On a side note, now that NPC levels are now worth 14 VP each instead of 10, could the VP gain for intimidation be raised to be 7 VP?

My thing about SS plotting against other Zeeks was just kind of a joke.
See, what Braddigan said is the only thing I can really imagine such a forum being used for......Which makes it pretty much pointless because the SS can just do that on the normal Zeon board no problem.
Edit: Draco's idea is good as well.

I think in light of recent arguments, we will not be having a seperate SS board. The arguments people are presenting is more or less confirming my hypothesis that there isn't any real use for one that exists seperate of the current forums.
