Alright so priority target list for Hildolfr:
1. Targeting Facility 2. 2x Large MPC, 1x MPC 3. Anything else that happens to be in the way of my main cannon.

No need to prioritize the small MPC since it will only matter if we get close to the base, and only Cloud and I will be getting close.
And yes, the only prisoner is a dead prisoner.
Unless he's giving us his Blue Destiny Unit 1, in which case we might barter him back for a few thou and safecon for all the Zeons through the West Arctic until the end of the week.

I'm going to specify using the High Explosive (HE) rounds for this fight btw.
And if I manage to take out the MPC, that will increase the success of the Apsalus II and the Zanzibar, though. So while it isn't as important, maybe I should rearrange the priority list to:
1. Targeting Facility 2. 2x Large MPC 3. MPC 4. Everything else. (Side note: If a GM Sniper fires, change target to it.)

HE rounds are good. Anything fin stabilized will miss due to heavy winds.

Almost forgot...
Anyone involved with Operation: Cold As Ice should remember to specify optional weapons for themselves and any MS in their team, if they have any.

Plan looks solid. My only concern is the Apsalus II. Given its depiction in the 08th MS team, shouldn't it be able to level the base with one solid hit? Or at least turn it into a smoldering ruin, with two or three sustained seconds of fire? Seems like it might be good to send Zanzibar II down first, distract the enemy, and then let Apsalus II descend in its shadow and fire its big'gun. Unless we're worried about the success of the operation hinging on Yuji's skill level.

Unless we're worried about the success of the operation hinging on Yuji's skill level. That's a good point. I'm thinking it might be best to have the Zanzibar descend first, deploy its MS, and cover the Apsalus II directly behind it while the MA just obliterates everything, as Kale said. Assuming it gets off one good shot, that should be all it will take for us to claim victory.

Here's what I have for today:
Everyone - If you are participating in today's assault on New Amsterdam (Ando Shoji, Marko Dresner, Bryce Hollerfelt, Alec Irusk, Rhett Paruta, Yuji Takeshi), please do the following in your action e-mails:
Ando Shoji - Move to New Amsterdam and join siege alongside G-Force.
Marko Dresner - Move to New Amsterdam and join siege alongside G-Force.
Duncan Keystone - Chill out on Liger in California Base.
Noelle Everett - Chill out in North America.
Ota Naomi - Move to North America.
Ferusha Glavadeen - Move to North America.
Rhett Paruta - Buy any necessary final purchases to fill slots in the fleet. - Perform an Orbital Drop on New Amsterdam. - Provide overall plan for attack in e-mail.
Yuji Takeshi - Perform an Orbital Drop on New Amsterdam.
Notes - I would like to see the strategy fully-fleshed out and posted for final inspection before the update tonight. It appears we are well-progressed down that path so far, just a gentle reminder.
- Ando Shoji and Marko Dresner will be moving to New Amsterdam to join the siege and (hopefully) captain the two Gallops in the fleet.

Gap: Edit the orders to say "Move to G-Force" since that's technically where you're going. Plan looks solid. My only concern is the Apsalus II. Given its depiction in the 08th MS team, shouldn't it be able to level the base with one solid hit? Or at least turn it into a smoldering ruin, with two or three sustained seconds of fire? Unless we're worried about the success of the operation hinging on Yuji's skill level. I like this idea. My only problem is the presence of my team when the Apsalus fires its BFG. :p And it's only a Zanzibar; I want to get the refit sometime, but we have to survive first.

Operation: Cold As Ice - Final Stage
G-Force The battleships Berkhalter, Hochstetter, and Decimator will commence bombardment of New Amsterdam with the target priorities listed below. Alec Irusk and Bryce Hollerfelt's priorities will be the same as the ships they are stationed aboard until GM Snipers open fire on our troops, at which point they are to immediately switch targets to where the GM Snipers fired from.
Berkhalter: Radar/Communications Tower, 77th Brigade Hochstetter: Targeting facility, Large MPCs, Small MPC Decimator: Airfield, mobile suit hangars
Our Lugguns shall be on patrol to keep an eye out for enemy ambushes with an escort of three Dopps each. All other fighters are to remain aboard their ships until enemy units are detected approaching the fleet. All mobile suits and other misc. units are to remain with the ships to protect them from enemy attacks.
Apsalus II and Shooting Star The Shooting Star shall enter the atmosphere first to provide cover for the Apsalus. If possible, it shall attack whatever it can on its descent. When it is close enough, deploy Rhett Paruta's team on their Dodais to sow as much confusion as possible amongst the defenders. The Shooting Star and its escorts shall then run for their lives towards friendly lives, drawing as much attention from the Apsalus' descent as it can.
Apsalus shall make the HQ its priority target, though if estimates prove accurate, it could wreck most of the base in one shot. After it takes its shot, it should retreat to friendly lines as quickly as possible while it charges up for another shot.
Ando Shoji and Marko Dresner
If these two join G-Force, they will each captain a Gallop while their teams join G-Force's part of the operation.
If, by this point, there are survivors, we only accept unconditional surrenders. One Fed doesn't want to surrender, we kill them all.

Hopefully I'll finally get to fire my gun at a base. Stupid AU and their kamikaze dopps. Oh well, e-mail sent. Good luck to us all I suppose.

Just so y'all know, at Gap's suggestion, I have replaced our Zaku II F with five squads of marines. One for the Hochstetter, three for the Berkhalter, and one for the Shooting Star.

After checking to see that we successfully scouted New Amsterdam and getting an awesome idea, I have revised the plan a little.
Target: New Amsterdam
G-Force: Assault
The battleships Berkhalter, Hochstetter, and Decimator will commence bombardment of New Amsterdam with the target priorities listed below. Alec Irusk and Bryce Hollerfelt's priorities will be the same as the ships they are stationed aboard until GM Snipers open fire on our troops, at which point they are to immediately switch targets to where the GM Snipers fired from. We have a successful scouting report, so our aim should be fairly accurate.
Apsalus II and Shooting Star: Orbital Drop
The Shooting Star and two HLVs shall enter the atmosphere first to provide cover for the Apsalus. If possible, Shooting Star shall attack whatever it can on its descent with its MPCs and large rockets. When it is close enough, it will deploy Rhett Paruta's team and the HLVs will deploy two Dopp support groups to sow as much confusion as possible amongst the defenders. The Shooting Star and its escorts shall then run towards friendly lines, drawing as much attention from the Apsalus' descent as they can.
Apsalus shall make the HQ its priority target, though if estimates prove accurate, it could wreck most of the base in one shot. After it takes its shot, it should retreat to friendly lines as quickly as possible while it charges up for another shot. Again, he'll know right where to aim thanks to our scouting report.
Ando Shoji and Marko Dresner: Join G-Force
If these two join G-Force, they will each captain a Gallop while their teams join G-Force's part of the operation.
If, after the Apsalus' attack, there are survivors, we only accept unconditional surrenders. One Fed doesn't want to surrender, we kill them all.
