The husband continued onwards as a junior officer while the wife became a reservist. He insisted that being a junior officer allows him to be respected by the troops while still influencing command decisions. Veronica on the other hand, had earned multiple rank promotions based on her successes. Thus upon her assuming control of the Wu family’s assets, Veronica returned to full active duty at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. With her command staff, she must now fight for the respect and discipline of the troops under the Wu family’s control. History: Aleksandra “Sasha” Beria was born in the Zeon patriotic colony of Tiger Balm & Catseye. She spent most of her childhood experiencing the growth of the space colony from Federation outpost to a self-proclaimed country. Headstrong as a budding teenager, Sasha constantly found herself in trouble by getting into fistfights on school grounds. Finding a career upon graduation from high school proved difficult until Sasha joined the police cadet force. As a police officer, she took part in homicide investigations. Her contacts throughout the criminal world earned her a fierce reputation. That reputation was cemented when Sasha was sent with other members of her police force to put down rebellious forces in the Kintzem & Manipur sealed colony cluster. It is during the violence on Kintzem & Manipur that Sasha suffered the grievous wound to her face. A large shard of glass from an exploding store window struck her in her right eye. Only after long surgeries were all of the fragments removed. But instead of waiting through the recovery process, Sasha insisted on returning to her duties. The effectiveness of her squad in putting down the riots was noted by the newly formed SS. Only with the outbreak of war did Sasha find relief from SS recruiters when she joined the Mobile Assault Force. Now as the most experienced captain of Wu Jinyuan’s Zeon Expeditionary Force, it is her responsibility to bring the “Lucifer’s Fury” and her crew to victory. Update: Captain Beria prides herself in her success operations against the EFSF. What irks her is the insistence of the Wu family being in command of her ships. Witnessing the deaths of Wu Jinyuan and Sunny Wu, Beria finds the decision to keep the Wu’s in command to be highly susceptible. She prefers the family to finance her campaign from a distance and let experienced officers like herself fight the war.
