She has a tendency to default to one key question when faced with a decision: what would a competent X do? For instance if she was faced with an unruly subordinate then she would ask herself what a competent commander would do. The problem though is that Esther is an actress and she always tailors her responses to who she is trying to impress at the moment. She could reassure a soldier one moment because a caring commander is watching and then berate them the next without missing a beat because a SS commander walked by.
Furthermore she tends to distance herself from her roles. This would be fine if she was on a stage somewhere but she's in the middle of war. She simply doesn't connect to people beyond what she believes is appropriate for her role, and once that "character" is switched to another, she abandons the connection all together. Combined with a dangerous tendency to switch things around without any real thought towards the long term, Esther's friends and allies can find themselves hung out to dry at any moment.
Combat Type: "Opportunistic Coward"
Esther’s combat prowess is about what one would expect from an elite pilot of the Mobile Assault Force. In a fair fight she could make a common Zaku II dance around and then disembowel a Guncannon. Her taste for fair fights, however, vanished the moment that she was assigned a commander’s mobile suit. She saw potential in the higher reaction speed not for dramatic duals or drawn-out brawls; instead, she saw a chance to shoot Federation pilots in the back while everyone else did the heavy lifting.
Command Type: "Idle Glory Seeker"
Ever since coming to Earth, Esther has received numerous promotions for her participation in a number of major operations. If one was to look closer though her record is somewhat spotty. She has never really taken a command position; usually defaulting to TAF or SS commanders. Some have seen this as her acting humble. The truth of the matter is Esther loves to delegate. She knows very well that she can't be involved in every aspect of the war and as such has picked up a talent for knowing where to find the right people and material for any given job.
