Katherine Lockheart, Dismas Agamemnon, and Scarth Maheart had recently joined forces to quarry in the newly-discovered mountainous region, each loading stones onto horseback as they discussed plans for what they would do with their haul. Suddenly, they heard a strange sound, a loud whirring that was familiar only to Dismas. Moments later, Scarth was knocked to the ground as three metallic birds hit him in the back of the head. "!!!!!" Dismas exclaimed, drawing his bow. Three Storm Sworders, strange creatures that had attacked Dismas and his guards before, soared overhead, shrieking war cries until one of them had an arrow bounce off of its forehead. The would-be mayor of Eco drew a bow of her own, firing as Scarth got to his feet. "I know how to stop them!" he declared, throwing something into the air. The other two would-be miners ignored the crazy farmer as they flung arrow after arrow into the sky, hoping to punch through the Storm Sworders' metal hides. Suddenly, one of the birds chirped loudly as something wrapped around its face: a tiger pelt Scarth had throw into the air. "That's strange," Scarth said as the creature crashed to the ground. "I was trying to use my avionics skill to turn it into a parachute for me. All eyes were, for the moment, on Scarth as he pulled out a parchment and began scribbling notes on a slip of parchment. The Storm Sworders were utterly enthralled with the display, totally ignoring Katherine and Dismas as they lined up a couple of shots. A pair of arrows suddenly punched through one Storm Sworder's face, striking it right in the eyes. The bird fell to the ground, alerting its partner that there was danger. It squawked, turning and firing machineguns on the tips of its wings at the archers, punching through Katherine's feeble human flesh as she slipped on her Tiger Claws. Before the bird could fire again, Scarth jumped onto its head and began clawing its eyes out. For some reason, they both made bird sounds before Katherine ran up and slashed open the Storm Sworder's stomach. For some reason, fleshy innards spilled out instead of the robot parts they were all expecting. After several awkward moments, Scarth jumped forward. "Loot time is my favorite time!" he declared. Outcome: Village Chief Katherine's Party is triumphant!
