During the Japan-Australia conflict, the Japanese Empire ignored Maluku Islands, deciding to bypass them and make it’s first major blow in Darwin. Later the soldiers of this place would find themselves rather quickly regretting this action as they say the military power hidden away in that place. This surge of power made the Empire decide, once they ultimately defeated the defenders of the region, to place a fortress in the the place of the broken military there.
