The People’s 42nd Indus Mobile Suit Base is the Human Reform League’s major combat operations center in India and Pakistan, and League military control extends over most of the Indian subcontinent from units based there. Its location is relatively close to the city of Hyderabad, which is a major port area thanks to the rise in sea levels, but it is far enough out to be considered an independent fortification.
As the western-most base of the Chinese front of the League, it exhibits features more common of those found in Eastern bases, including defensive emplacements that are concealed in underground bunkers and rise up to fire as well as an asymmetric base layout in terms of perimeter and structures. The base neatly straddles the Indus river north of Hyderabad, with the command center on the eastern side and the hangar complex on the western side. Two raising bridges span the river to allow easy access from one side to the other.
