The Kavkazsky Military District forms the Human Reform League’s chief operations center in the Caucasus region and its effective border in preventing a land advance from Africa and the Middle East into Asia. It is headquartered in the city of Stavropol, which was chosen for its strategic location amid the low but very much defensible mountains.

Stavropol has been effectively militarized, with the League’s army assets focused heavily in the southern center of the urban area. The city abuts the mountains to the south, where most of the defensive perimeter is established. The southerly-facing Caucasus approaching Stavropol are roughly shaped like an inverted “W” facing the south, and the League has concentrated the bulk of its defensive emplacements in fields that overlap with one another, allowing them to direct long-range firepower against all the major land-side approaches. The lighter weapons are all mounted on full-traverse emplacements to provide coverage in the possibility of attacks from other directions, and in typical League fashion, all the defenses are thoroughly reinforced for maximum durability. The base structures are similarly hardened against attack, with each hangar sprouting a machine gun emplacement.

Currently, Kavkazsky has been somewhat downgraded in terms of strategic importance due to the advancing League front in the Middle East. However, it is still busy as ever as a distribution point for supplies and troops heading to the front.

Present: The recent victim of an attack by Wing Zero and Epyon, Kavkazky has taken minor damage from the assault of the two mobile suits. The base is likely to be on higher alert in the near future.
