Hi-Nu EX is a brand new mobile suit, using the original Hi-Nu as it’s template, albiet, with an expanded frame to accomodate more equipment and a much more powerful generator and set of thrusters. It is equipped with the logical successor to the psycoframe– the entire body mounts a full-body psycoframe, and a constant glow can be seen between slots in the armor when it is completely active.

In addition to this, two Minovsky Craft units are installed in the legs, which, in combination with the high output thrusters built into the backpack and shoulders, allow Hi-Nu EX to fly within atmosphere under it’s own power. The upgraded fin funnels are stored in such a fashion as to produce a minimal amount of drag, meaing Hi-Nu EX can engage in aerial combat without too much worry about sustaining damage due to it’s own maneuvers.

The weapons have recieved an extensive makeover as well: perhaps the largest is the beam rifle EX. Much larger than Hi-Nu’s rifle, this beam rifle is a multi-mode weapon, capable of operating in a number of modes: single shot, three round burst, scattering mode, or high output mode, where it can discharge a large portion of the e-cap with a single massive blast. The E-cap is large, but even so, only three high output blasts can be sustained before recharge is neccesary. The beam rifle also features a small jitte mounted below the muzzle, for parrying strikes from mobile suits which manage to close unexpectedly.

The bazooka features a nine round magazine with a high speed autoloader; while not a full automatic weapon, it can fire 380mm shells with triple tandem-charge warheads as fast as the pilot can pull the trigger.

The fin funnels have recieved a makeover as well– each one has a larger fuel supply, and can not only generate beam blades for piercing targets, but also small I-fields to allow them to act as reflector bits. The beam barrier generated between them is also stronger as well.
