The hastily relocated military HQ of the Atlantic Federation, Suez has seen a lot of new construction in recent months. The new areas of the base stand in sharp contrast to the older, more weatherbeaten structures that make up the core.

While the complement of the base is still being brought up to spec, a number of Gundams have been assigned to assist with patrol duty; one, an original specification Gundam X, is stationed permanently to act as a quick countermeasure to any attempted amphibious invasion from the canal or the ocean.

Suez is expected to grow in importance in the coming months, especially with ZAFT’s invasion having pushed the Atlantic Federation out of South Afric
