Description:
New Victoria, named for the region of Australia that Maximillian
Bagoly’s ancestors are from, is the Vanguard Horizon’s beachhead for
the colonization of Venus. The base is intended to provide the
Vanguard with a supply of resources convenient both to their main base
on Mercury and future operations on Earth and is primarily defended by
anti-air weapons due to the lack of other military installations
currently on the planet. As this base is the brainchild of ex-SRA
pilot Maximillian Bagoly, it serves as a haven for other renegade SRA
personnel, including (at the time of its inception) a Newtype who
leads the base’s mobile weapon complement.

The base is situated primarily into two parts: the mining facility
makes up the East half of the base and the command center and sensor
array make up the West half with the beam cannon in the middle. The
hangars and the airfield lie on the South end of the base. Six of the
missile launchers and the anti-air lasers form a perimeter around the
base and the remaining two missile launchers are stationed in the
center next to the beam cannon.

However, New Victoria also fell against ZAFT and currently lies in ruins.
