- Guild launches a large-scale attack against Fogo after negotiations break down, the attack fails after the Last Battalion stages a counterattack
- ESA attack against Guild’s Cherbourg base is successful – an unidentified unit appears during the battle and inflicts losses on both sides
- The mysterious unit is assigned the reporting name “Mustache Man” by ESA and “White Wraith” by Guild

- Guild leaders escape an ambush/assassination by the Last Battalion – talks of a purge of “imperialist sympathizers” within Guild ranks begin

- Main force of Deus Irae returns from Mars
- Guild launches a sneak attack on JOSH-A, deploying a finished ‘retrovirus’ on Gundam Aquarius – the retrovirus does not work and the attack fails
- Mustache Man/White Wraith appears for a second time during the battle and attacks both sides again before disappearing

- SRA and Guild agree on a secret plan to attack DOME, Operation Joker
- Guild subterranean MS are “captured” by SRA forces in a staged ambush and begin digging towards DOME

- ESA retakes Madagascar and announces an amnesty for Guild operatives who turn themselves in along with their mobile weapons
- DOME is quietly taken by the SRA from within, Newtype researchers begin making off with valuable information from DOME’s computers
- ZAFT uncovers the situation on DOME and fires GENESIS at it in a move of desperation – DOME is destroyed, but not before the SRA completes a full backup of its systems

- An ESA defector with knowledge of the mobile doll system attempts to meet with Guild agents in South Africa, but an attack by the Last Battalion spoils the meeting
- SRA forces covertly hand over the abandoned Barclay base to the Guild
- Myrmidons unit stages a sneak attack on Lake Victoria as HRL land forces mobilize into Egypt – the base is seized, effectively blinding Mogadishu’s Noventa Cannon

- HRL attack on Suez is successful – rumors of Guild leaders being offered sanctuary from ESA attacks by the HRL invaders are consistently denied
- ESA carrier groups deploy to several points in the south Atlantic and Indian oceans in preparation for attacks on Guild-held South Africa

- SRA beings an accelerated Newtype development program using the data stolen from DOME
- ESA launches enormous attack on South Africa – Cape Town and Johannesburg fall in one day, but most Guild officers manage to escape capture
- The third version of the Aquarius retrovirus is deployed unsuccessfully against the ESA’s mobile dolls

- Guild now in full control of all ZAFT facilities in Australia, vows to fight to the last man
- Last Battalion attacks Lake Victoria – the attack is unsuccessful
- AF moderates call for some type of alliance with the ESA, while hardliners demand the deployment of nuclear weapons against the HRL

- Guild launches sneak attack against Madagascar and captures the base before its mobile dolls can activate
- ESA counterattack succeeds, but the offensive to Australia is delayed

- Last Battalion stages a hit-and-run attack on Suez while the main force is away, hindering HRL operations in North Africa for several months

- SRA’s “Evolved Newtypes” join the NTC officially and are devastatingly effective in battle vs. ZAFT forces outside L1

- ESA discovers the Guild’s holdout at Barclay, states no quarter will be given to the remaining Guild members

- Massive ESA force attacks Barclay, Guild deploys the newest Aquarius retrovirus which is miraculously effective
- Aquarius retrovirus infects the entire Skyline Network, causing every ESA mobile doll on Earth to begin randomly shooting anything that moves

- HRL and ESA covertly begin “Jinx Plan”, first talks of forming unitary government
- Guild attack on Gibraltar succeeds, but ESA defends Orbetello
- Myrmidons spoil Guild sneak attack on Murmansk
- Fogo ordered to nuke Mogadishu, but the order is not carried out – Last Battalion is instructed to destroy all “insurrection” within AF positions

March
- SRA’s initial field test of yet-unnamed “psyco-weapon” – all non-Newtypes within 15km radius go into vegetative state
- SRA tightly covers up the test while development of the weapon continues in L5 shoal zone
- Guild captures Orbetello and Insalah – the organization now claims to represent the interests of the majority of humanity
- AF headquarters declares all other regional commands to be traitors

April
- Guild attack on Bern is successful, a decisive political victory
- Last Battalion recalled to Brasilia as “traitor” AF armies attack – the group deserts in the middle of the battle, and the AF supreme command is obliterated
- Myrmidons arrive at JOSH-A with untested GN-X mobile suits

May
- The HRL and ESA begin full production of the GN-X
- Information about HRL and ESA leaders meeting at neutral Azores is leaked to Guild as part of Jinx Plan
- The meeting is a trap – Guild forces are ambushed by GN-Xs operated by both HRL and ESA pilots, and most Guild leaders do not escape
- ESA and HRL forces attack and capture Bern, declaring the formation of an “Earth Union” to combat the Guild
- ESA moves to attack Guild forces in Europe and Africa, while HRL prepares for operations in Australia and Antarctica

- ESA’s mobile doll factories/tooling at JOSH-A destroyed, mass-production of GN-Xs begin in their place

- Remaining Guild forces shore up defenses while preparing to “go cellular” if situation deteriorates further

- ZAFT and SRA fleets clash around L2 – White Wraith/Mustache Man appears and interferes with the battle before being driven off by Deus Irae members

- Iris Corporation hires ex-VH pilots for consultation work and prototyping of new weapons while development of experimental propulsion system continues
- HRL attacks Barclay – large number of Guild forces escape into orbit from the base’s spaceport, ESA and HRL begin forming a pursuit force
- Last Battalion re-appears at Fogo and assumes command of the base
- ESA/HRL pursuit fleet begins pursuing Guild space forces

October
- Myrmidons lead ESA forces in capturing Insalah and Gibraltar
- HRL attacks and captures Scylla and Charybdis
- Guild begins ‘planned fragmentation’ and repositioning towards asymmetrical, irregular warfare – space forces split into three groups, forcing ESA/HRL pursuit fleet to do the same
- Guild forces flee towards Artemis and hole up, HRL attempts to dislodge them and fails
- HRL pursuit forces spread large amount of GN particles around exterior of Artemis and depart

November
- ESA squadron forces confrontation with Guild in open space near Mausoleum, some Guild units flee into ‘danger zone’ and ESA pursuit is called off
- SRA begins second field test of the “psyco-weapon” in L5 shoal zone – some Guild that escaped from Barclay and ESA pursuers accidentally enter testing ground and are killed by the weapon’s discharge
- SRA measures the weapon’s effective range is now 60km – project is taken over by Military Intelligence and development continues in utmost secrecy, the psyco-weapon finally receives the designation XMA-01N Geminus
- ESA captures Sri Lanka – ESA/HRL jointly announce Eurasia now free of Guild influence

December
- SRA decoy fleet destroyed in open space by GENESIS – embarked Evolved Newtypes predict the attack and escape destruction, SRA begins formulating final plan for attack on PLANT utilizing both NTC and Talos colony laser
- Mogadishu blind-fires on Zanzibar, HRL abandons the base after deducing a shot will eventually strike its mark
- The ESA/HRL begins deployment of the GN-X Cannon
- Changing of leadership operations begin, Earth Union terminology officially begins being used in ESA and HRL territory

UC 222

January
- SRA and ZAFT fleets meet in Earth orbit, not expecting each other – a fierce battle ensues, and the White Wraith/Mustache Man makes yet another appearance during the battle
- Several rogue units in orbit are drawn into the battle, the White Wraith is apparently defeated by a black GN-powered mobile suit
- First Iris Corporation expedition to the Mausoleum

March
- The Guild, pushed to the breaking point, and with only intermittent contact from it’s command group, begins to fracture along national and ideological lines; a few remaining hardliners continue to fight on, but many forces simply go to ground and become local warlords, soldiers for hire, or join former Atlantic Federation militaries in Africa

June
- The EU begins production of the Advanced GN-X

July
- Remnants of the Guild command group attempt to make contact with the largest remaining faction of the AF in South America
- EU forces ambush the Guild units outside Rio, most of the command group is killed or captured
- The EU declares total victory over the Guild

August
- SRA and ZAFT forces begin surface battles over control of the lunar communities – the battles continue for several months, with gains and losses reshaping the lines every day
- The SRA OMI performs a final field test of Geminus, results demonstrate lethal emission power out to over 500km

September
- SRA’s main command force begins secretly moving Talos to L5 in order to achieve a firing solution on PLANT, the colony laser is disguised as a wrecked colony to avoid suspicion
- ZAFT scouting force discovers the colony laser, an emergency strike unit is launched to approach from the opposite side of Earth
- Brass Sea Battle – the ZAFT strike unit attacks the SRA force from behind and is entirely wiped out, but the colony laser is wrecked beyond repair, and most of the SRA’s command staff are killed

October
- SRA’s OMI takes over command of the military – Evolved Newtypes are now in essentially all authority positions in the SRA
- Geminus is deployed in secret and “sterilizes” the ZAFT asteroid fortress Boaz before a single shot is fired, ZAFT refers to the incident as the Halloween Horror and now views the Space War as a struggle for genetic survival

November
- ZAFT forces that attempt to pursue Geminus are all wiped out by another psyco-emission, prompting ZAFT forces at PLANT to go on high alert to keep a lookout for the weapon
- OMI orders all military assets not completely essential for the defense of Cloud 9 mobilized for a final attack on PLANT
- ZAFT heavily reinforces Jachin Due and GENESIS, bringing both into a defensive position at PLANT’s perimeter

December
- SRA commits its entire force to assaulting PLANT, allowing a decoy fleet to be destroyed by GENESIS while the main force attacks from multiple sides
- Geminus annihilates the defenders at Jachin Due, allowing Evolved Newtype commandos to seize control of the station and use its mass to block GENESIS’ firing arc – during the battle, Evolved Newtype pilots begin to go insane, their treatments finally breaking down their mental functions
- ZAFT blasts a hole through Jachin Due with GENESIS in a desperation attack, allowing its next shot to be targeted at the SRA force
- A desperate last-mintue action by Deus Irae’s last squad sabotages the primary ignition system, causing the station to misfire and destroy much of the weapon’s internals
- Geminus prepares to unleash a full-power emission to obliterate PLANT’s inhabitants, but the weapon’s operators succumb to insanity at the same time as a huge release of GN particles from an unknown mobile suit are detected
- The mysterious black mobile suit is identified as the Masurao, it quantanizes out during the battle and does not reappear
- Geminus is last seen hurtling off into deep space, while the SRA’s remaining forces, all Evolved Newtypes, including the OMI staff, are found dead in their cockpits of brain aneurysms

UC 224

January
- The Iris Corporation begins production of the AM-004A Lion
- Leaderless, the remaining forces of the SRA are demobilized at Cloud 9 – no Evolved Newtypes have survived, perhaps for the better
- PLANT’s Supreme Council extends a ceasefire offer to the Cloud government, which accepts, officially ending the Space War
- Battle Group Typhon refuses to acknowledge the end of the war, a substantial number of disaffected pilots and soldiers desert for parts unknown
- Cloud Republic and PLANT both renounce Newtype/Coordinator supremacy ideologies
