Built primarily to establish sovereignty over Venus, the Grande Arche base remains rather bare bones due to budget constraints. With few defenses, it is up to a handful of crack personnel at each base to defend against any possible attack.

Unfortunately, the single Flag defending the base proved quite inadequate against the power of the Tallgeese III, and thus this base was overcome.
