Situated in the deep, calm Forth of Firth, Rosyth is a major dock facility for the Alliance Navy, second to Corsica in the European side, as well as the manufacturing center for the advanced Pisces amphibious mobile suit. Rosyth’s location as a pleasant and safe harbor has been exploited for centuries, and the perpetually foggy coast of Scotland has a certain appeal to some.

The base takes the form of a relatively compact though well-protected installation, meshing with the civilian city to the west and facing open moorland to the north. Just east of the installation is a famed steel bridge spanning the Forth of Firth, and mobile suits can occasionally be seen traipsing across on patrol duty. The area around the base has been heavily dredged to allow ships to be serviced by the naval yard, and much of the natural coastline removed in favor of long stretches of concrete dock facilities. A concrete-lined channel was excavated from the forth to the factory complex, allowing completed Pisces to be floated out and put under preliminary tests to verify that all is in order.

Defensive emplacements are clustered in small groups within the base perimeter, allowing fire to be directed against a target approaching from almost any direction. A pair of blockhouses are constructed on either side of the bridge, which can screen the base from approaches from the east as well as directly fire into the base itself should its perimeter be breached. Furthermore, the small island Inchkeith, several miles beyond the bridge, has been turned into a veritable gun platform to ward off possible incursions from the sea as well as to make the entire coastline of the forth dangerous to approach. Both the inlet to the body of water and the moors inland of the base proper are heavily mined.

Present: Another victim of the Vultures, Rosyth repelled the first attack with a group of mobile doll reinforcements. It however fell after the second attack, the assault lead by Deacon Gerard and his 00-Raiser.
