One of the few freeports in space, Satyricon is the home of a group of soldiers fighting against the Space Revolutionary Army. Satyricon (also the name of the group) will allow anyone who isn’t affiliated with the SRA to take shelter there, provided they are willing to help in the event of an attack.

The base itself is a typical asteroid base, carved out of a disused resource satellite, located in the heart of an asteroid field. The field itself provides protection against all but the most determined ships, the large floating chunks of rock also serving as cover for hit and run attacks from Satyricon’s Jenice compliment. Once one makes it to the base, the fortress is dotted with traditional defenses, particularly a large number of anti-aircraft lasers, creating an effective screen against even fast moving mobile suits, as well as heavier beam cannons and missile launchers for ships.

In addition to the bases’ compliment of Jenices, Satyricon’s flagship the Alarnam also functions as a defense. A Varona class vessel, the Alarnam is capably crewed, and stocked to the hilt with their own squad of Jenices.

After numerous battles, Satyricon was eventually worn down, and never really reinforced; it fell under the auspices of the HRL, and more recently, the Guild, who have renamed it Garm.

Recently, the Guild has set about reinforcing the base in order to keep it from falling into the hands of roaming pilots. For the time being, the screen of anti-aircraft lasers has seen the most work, with a camouflaged Lohengrin cannon having been installed somewhere on the base to act as a anti-ship measure. Finally, a handful of Taurus mobile suits have been added to keep the base safe by engaging in hit and run attacks with varying loadouts by using the asteroid field as cover. More improvements have been planned for the facility, though of what nature is not known.

Recent History: Abandoned once attacks by various parties started depleting its mobile suit forces, Garm was ultimately rendered useless by an attack by the Kartikay and Tallgeese III.
