Overview: An improved version of the Strike E, developed by Drake’s Legacy. It is equipped with a nuclear reactor to allow unlimited operation time.

Unlike the previous model, which relied on modular striker packs, the Super Strike E is built as a single unit, with most functions built directly into the large, thruster-laden backpack rather than being used in different modular packs. While this does increase weight and size somewhat, this has been compensated by adding even more high-output thrusters and verniers to balance things out. However, the weight of the new equipment means that despite these measures, the Super Strike E’s acceleration and maneuverability is only moderately greater than that of the Strike E.

Weapons and Equipment:

12.5mm automatic CIWS: Basic anti-infantry weapons, mounted in the feet.

“Shorty” beam rifle: The same type of mini beam rifle used by the Strike E makes a return here, attached to the same hip hardpoints. However, thanks to being able to draw power from the Super Strike E’s reactor, they can be used without limit.

Rocket anchor: The original Strike E had four (or five, if the Noir Striker is equipped) of these tools, which are generally useful for radical maneuvering in confined spaces, towing or restraining assorted objects, and grappling attacks. Several more have been added, mostly on the backpack.

“Laevateinn” beam blade: An improvement on the “Fragarach” 3 blade, these retain a similar shape, if somewhat larger, and have a beam edge on both sides. The two can be combined into a single longer and heavier blade completely covered with beam energy for use against large targets such as mobile armors or ships, known as the “Durandal”. Mounted on the sides of the backpack and drawn from under the arms, as with the antiship swords of the IWSP Striker. The beam edges have more of a yellow-orange color rather than the usual pink.

“Flammekraft” 457mm high-energy beam cannon x 2: Replacing the 105mm cannons from the Strike E’s IWSP pack and firing under the arms, these heavy beam cannons are essentially weapons from a battleship turret. They can either be fired simultaneously, or by alternating the barrels for a faster rate of fire. The fire rate is artificially limited a little bit to prevent rapid fire in dual mode, as this would place a bit of a strain on the reactor’s energy supply. The cannons are designed to be ejectable if damaged or if additional mobility is required.

Linear Cannon x 2: The same old linear cannons from the Noir Striker make a comeback here, mounted on top of the backpack. The main difference here is that they’re on universal mounts, allowing them to bear on targets above, behind, and to the sides of Super Strike E.

“Harter Regen” beam gatling x 2: A mid-range area attack weapon, intended to lay down a wide field of beam fire to tear apart anything foolish enough to get in the Strike E’s way, salvaged from a destroyed warship’s CIWS batteries and cut back. The short barrels tend to disperse the shots quite a bit and reduce the range, but it does make it easier to hit groups of enemies due to this. Though this isn’t too much of a concern thanks to Super Strike E’s variable phase shift armor, they’re also quite effective at sweeping incoming missiles out of the sky.

Wing Hardpoints

The four wings that extend out from Super Strike E’s backpack have a number of hardpoints for optional equipment, such as machinegun pods, missiles, and rocket pods for strafing attacks or other general property damage. Of interest is that every hardpoint is on a rotateable mount– so they can be turned to point and fire behind the Super Strike E if neccesary.

Optional Equipment

57mm high-energy beam rifle w/grenade launcher: Same rifles used on occasion by the Strike E. An excellent weapon for use in almost any situation.

Antibeam shield w/30mm gatling gun: Effectively the same as the shield used by the Strike E IWSP, except that the beam boomerang was omitted (Elric considered it a “silly” weapon).
