Description: A small, underground outpost, Ponte dei Sospiri lies just below the surface of Mercury. Its minute size is perhaps its greatest asset—with only a handful of tiny, well-camouflaged gun emplacements above ground, finding the base is somewhat akin to finding the proverbial needle in a haystack. In the event of an attack, underground elevators can whisk the base’s small mobile suit contingent to the surface in minutes. The design and layout of the base is identical to La Dominante on the other side of the planet, leading Vanguard Horizon troops to refer to them as “The Twins.”

Recent History: The nuclear detonation of N Dagger N’s reactor in this base’s underground facilities has left little more than a slightly radioactive crater full of rubble. Ironically enough, the pole with Quin Mantha’s head on it has somehow survived the calamity, and now is embedded in a hill about a kilometer from the base’s former position, still in an upright position. Some sick bastard has hung Graham Spencer’s helmet from one of the antennae.
