| <Events for 5/16/02> Battle of Titans The ominous sound of clanking armor is heard through the dense fog in the surrounding field. Hundreds of warriors step out from the mist, both sides are now face to face? all goes quiet. On the GRA side the dominant fighters, people such as Boraguard and Tom Sanders stand in the lead. <GRA Knight> ?I wonder where Dart is, he promised us victory but what will become of us if he does not show?? <GRA Mage> ?Hmm, very suspicious, these two peasants show no knowledge of leadership. I fear we are doomed?? From behind pops Thorg, he picks the two up by their necks. <Thorg> ?Me no like bickering fools! Say to my face what you say behind my back!? Thor drops them and stands with his arms crossed waiting. On the other side of the line is Magius Griev propped up against his staff. He sighs discomforted with his situation, then walks several paces to Boraguards location he stands for several minutes gazing at his enemy. <Magius> ?You think we have a chance?? He says looking at the huge line of men then to Boraguard. <Boraguard> ?As long as we think of what we?re fighting for we?ll be fine, otherwise we can?t really tell? I just hope Dart shows up.? At the same time, across the field, Rob Rocket and Andoli converse on the situation. <Rob> ?Hah! Can?t wait to chop my first GRA head off! I?ve eaten 30 Chocoa plants today and I feel pumped!? <Andoli> ?Looks like we may have to work a little more than usual, barely anyone showed up.? <Rob> ?Meh, I could beat those scoundrels with my hands tied! Or just one hand tied! Or? or maybe a nostril closed!? <Andoli> ?You sure that?s not just the caffeine talking? Rob does a summersault and lands on his head. Suddenly a whistle is blown, Rob jumps to his feat, people draw their weapons, and men stand ready? A solemn Lieutenant rides up with his horse, raises his sword and rides forth. At the same time, the GRA do the same. They soon clash? screams of pain fill the air, screams of men dieing, of limbs being severed and human tissue being torn. The persistent knight, Thorg, plows his way through he hordes of men. With one swing of his axe several men go flying. <Thorg> ?Me win! Me win!? Thorg exclaims, until an enemy Rogue bashes him over the head with the butt of his sword. The Giganto rubs the soar spot on the back of his bald head, he then drops his axe in anger and charges at the man, the warriors face distorts as Thorg smashes a giant fist across his face. Nearby, Boraguard fends off flying rocks being distorted by enemy mages. He chops left with his trusty Apocalypse Rider and sends one of the pieces of harden Earth flying at the sorcerer. He ducks left to miss a rock and fires several bolts from his Wrist bow at another Mage. Along side him appears Tom Sanders, Boraguard looks surprised, if not for the early warning there might have been one of the victims. The hearty knights fend off enemy warriors at random, slicing heads and hands left and right. <Tom> ?Howdy, how?s the situation?? He places a hand over his hand to wipe the perspirations off his forehead. <Boraguard> ?Fine so far, have you seen Dart?? <Tom> ?Afraid not?? He says then catches an enemy sword from landing in Boraguards torso, but at the same time gets a dagger in the arm. He grasps his and nods. Rob Rocket and Andoli fight bitterly, the stand back to back hacking down weak GRA mages. Andoli does a flip and lands a kick into Boraguards armor, sending him to the ground angrily. <Rob> ?Oh, you?re hot!? He exclaims to Andoli. <Andoli> ?It comes by nature?, she scoffs but then notices an anguished look appear on Rob?s face, then blood trickle down his lips. He falls with a discomforting thud. Andoli looks up to see a great man on a horse, with wings and an Angelic glow about him. ?Da? Da?? She trembles as the horse rides past her and up to Boraguard. <Boraguard> ?Nice to see you could make it.? <Dart> ?Hah, errands kept me busy.? They nod, Dart raises his sword and cries ?ONWARD!? Knights, Rogues and Mages a like charge deeper into the XE lines, slaying 3 men for every GRA man is taken down. The battle rages on, large energy waves erupt from Dart taking many men in one hit and before long the XE forces see it hopeless to continue. <Andoli> ?Thos bastards? This will not go unforgotten.? She says as she drags Rob?s body from the battlefield, from the piles of dead lying about the field. Both sides recede into their strongholds. Outcome: GRA win the battle, XE suffer many casualties. Boraguard- Healing- 2 Day Tom Sanders- Healing- 3 Days Thorg- Healing-1 Day Andoli- No damage Rob Rocket- Dead- 8 Days <Events for 4/6/02> Hyrulus Jecht attacks Outpost Tiarra <Rogue (stationed in Tower)> ?The perimeter is clear?? <Knight A> ?We haven?t seen any action since the war started, when that band of XE troops attacked us? <Knight B> ?That?s why Dart basically only left a skeleton defense here, it?s a quiet place, Oh, and be thankful we haven?t seen anyone? <Lead Mage> ?Well, I don?t think anyone could sneak up on us anyway? <Knight A> ?Maybe so?But don?t let your guards down, Go back to your post? Dusk is falling as Hyrulus arrives, ?Looks like no one else who was supposed to arrive is coming, Cowards, This is going to be difficult alone?? He then walks his horse behind a rather large rock and ties her up. He places his cloak on the top of the horse and begins to crawl away. Kimberly (the horse) nays soflty and Hyrulus gets up and walks back to her. ?I cant risk you getting hurt, Stay here.? He then silently walks toward the base. An arrow strikes a mage in the temple, killing him. The shocked defenders launched a counter attack. The gates open and the knight?s charge at Hyrulus while the mages provide cover fire by casting blast spells. Hyrulus is forced behind a large boulder. He does some quick thinking and decides it best to retreat, He jumps out from behind a rock and launches several blast at the walls, forcing the mages to stop firing and put up there energy shields. The knights draw their swords and attack Hyrulus. He blocks one knight?s sword but the other knight stabs him in the back. Hyrulus yells in pain and turns to attack him when the other knight slices his arm. Jecht blast one of the knights, the knight blocks the blast with his shield. Hyrulus runs as fast as he possibly can with his wounds and whistles for his horse. Kimberly breaks her leash that bounded her to the rock and she breaks for Hyrulus. They meet and he climbs on but the other knight catches up and hits Hyrulus in the head with the backside of his sword. Knocking him out. Outcome: Hyrulus and Kimberly Captured for 10 days, going ransom at 1,000 Gold. Defenses remaining: 4 Mages, 2 Knights, 1 Rogue Hyrulus Jecht- Healing- 3 Days |
