Section 1.0 The Basics

1.1 Setting
With the end of the Earth-Colony Wars over, the United Earth Union takes notice of what it has lost and what steps can be taken to prevent such things from happening again. With this new age of warfare mobile suits are the key to military dominance, the UEU has an impressive collection of these machines but due to the war many others have them as well. The war has caused the UEU to loosen its control and many cracks have opened, rebel factions form against the UEU along with gangs and mafia type groups controlling the transport industry to companies supplying the UEU with its very own mobile suits.

1.2 Updating & E-Mail
I will state this RPG is classed as an E-Mail Type, though we do involve message boards and other means of role-playing besides the e-mail. The RPG in it self runs from Monday through Friday, I don't want to make the RPG a burden for myself so I will quit the RPG. Not only is it open during those days, it closes every night at 6:30pm Eastern Time. If you are in other times zone please follow the chart for times,
1.) Central Time: 5:30pm
2.) Mountain: 4:30pm
3.) Pacific: 3:30pm

Now I can see people having problems with these times, if you do wish to still join do the following, JUST TELL ME! If you tell me I can work out something special for you so you can still have a fun time and not rush home from school or what not and have 2 minutes left. Also if you in any other time zone besides the ones listed tell me this too and again we will work out something.

I don't care what the problem is but, I only want one e-mail from you a day. If you do send in more than once you will lose something, and if you keep doing it you will be banned from the RPG for not following the rules. The only way you can e-mail us more than once is that e-mail you back about it saying you can or not, you can tell by the way the e-mail is set up. Here is the list of e-mail for what should go where.

Updating: updates@thejanadian.com
Battles: battles@thejanadian.com

People who are wanting to join Neo Genesis have to e-mail me on the weekends, make sure you send them before 6:00pm just like if the RPG was open. This gives me time to add people so I don’t get e-mails at 11pm or something like that.

As of late many people leave out important information i need to update the RPG. Things like battling to buying, some information is often forgotten. Always remember to give me a proper Subject line, it is Buying then put down “Buying” or something like reflecting what you want done. I do not want to see any joint e-mails with the battles, these are to be sent to the other e-mail address only!

Battling
1.) Who are you and what do you pilot.
2.) Whom are you attacking and what do they pilot.
3.) What’s your current location as well as your target's location.
4.) What is your current status and what is the current status of your target.

Travel
1.) Who are you?
2.) Where are you going and where are you coming from.
3.) How many days will it get from point a (starting location) to point b (ending location)

Buying
1.) Who are you?
2.) What are you buying.
3.) How much money are you spending and how many ton's are with each item.
4.) Do final totals after buying and adding the new tons

Training
1.) Who are you? Anyone else with you?
2.) How many days of Training and what kind of Training.

1.3 Actions
Actions are what you do during the week and in your one e-mail for the whole day. Actions include the following,
1.) Battling
2.) Training
3.) Traveling
4.) Buying
5.) Repairing
6.) Upgrading
7.) Death

These are all actions and some need or not need you to e-mail us about. Things like Battling to Buying is on your part while the rest are for me do. You can only do one of the following for your action, As in you cannot travel and research at the same time or buy and travel at the same time.

1.4 Game Play
To have the most fun I see that letting members doing what they want to be much more fun than me setting up things. Thus what you make of the RPG is what you’ll get out of it, the possibilities of what can be done are solely up to you. However of course you must follow the rules at all times, so keep reading.

Section 2.0 Sortie Preparations

2.1 Experience Points
In every battle you will receive an Experience Point(s). Experience Points rate how well you control your gundam. The more you have, the better you can control and weld it. Experience Points do not decide the outcome of battles but are one of the many factors in deciding who wins a fight. The more you fight the same person, the more you learn his moves, thus subtracting the amount of Experience Points you will receive at the end of the battle. Also, if you fight the same person and lose over and over, the next battle you fight against him, you have a better chance of winning. Experience Points are not power levels; there are no power levels. Someone with 20 Experience Points can beat someone with 40 Experience Points depending on weaponry and armor.

You must engage in at least one battle per week or your EXP will suffer. Reasoning behind this is that if your pilot does not keep in practice, his or her combat skills will suffer. This battle may be one against an actual target like a base or another Gundam pilot. A role-playing post on the message board is not acceptable.

2.2 Upgrading
After you have reached 100EXP you will upgrade into the next version of the current Gundam you have. The total time to upgrade your current Gundam takes 5 Days, no more or no less because upgrading your Gundam takes time and plus you want to do it right. At 200, 300, 400 and, Etc you will again upgrade into the next form of your Gundam. However some Gundam’s lack more than 1 upgrade, thus I will draw your next upgrade, simple as that.

2.3 Art of War
The Art of War is a old Chinese way of fighting that both teaches that fighting is both open and is a secret. Straight warfare is basically, you flying into a base or someone and fighting them, this can be seen by all. How ever the cloak and dagger warfare involves many things, like espionage to sabotage. Things that are done with out ones knowledge, this is the way of War. With the cloak and dagger part of war, much of this can be done by you and on the message board. Just run it by me first so I can make sure everything is in order and FAIR!

How ever with e-mailing us the action of battling a base or member there are guidelines to follow but, with the kinds of attacks and such can be unless so e-mail me and explain it to me if it isn't a common one.

1.) Same location: It's hard to fight a person when you're not even at the same location or even planet in that matter.
2.) Status: Make sure that you and your target(s) are at an OK status, if not then the battle cannot take place. The only way this can happen is if you're at a base without defenses and you are there by your self. This is forced fighting and you will be sure to lose, so make sure this doesn't happen.
3.) If there are others in on this attack I need all their e-mails, saying they are fighting too.

You can send in any type of a battle or attack you want, weather it be ambushing someone to attacking only certain targets at a base or colony.

2.4 Life, Death and, Rebirth
Its hard not to get damaged in combat, thus often after battle you must take out time to repair the damages to your mobile weapon. The max amount of days one can be repairing is 5, no more or less. In battle your pilot can be killed weather it be a shot the cockpit or your mobile weapon exploding, when this happens your pilot will be listed as KIA and you will be unable to continue playing as that character. You will have to send in a new joining form, the whole thing. However you will get 50% of your EXP before you died and 50% of your money. This serves as a warning to those who wish to be heroes and have the more so chances of getting killed, dont do it!

Section 3.0 Gundam Specifications

3.1 Gundam Specification Data
As you may know if you already picked out a Gundam to pilot that each Gundam has its own “Unit Type”. This symbolizes what the purpose and role of your Gundam, this affects the way that you play for would you go in close with a Gundam without melee weapons on only two large range cannons? No. Also there are also versions of the “Unit Type” for it locates where your Gundam battles the best, examples are ground, sea, space and etc. So you would see if a ground type was up in space that Gundam wouldn’t be much of help or able to do anything in that matter. To fix this problem buy a package from the military.

Section 4.0 Special Abilities
As humans went into space and began to live there generation after generation, humans began to change or evolve. Also seeing changes in human in only some humans, scientist also found ways to evolve humans with technology. Special Abilities are set up in two different ways, one being the type that cannot be made by any means in the RPG. I.E. Real Newtypes. The other is ones that can happen during the RPG based on many different events. I.E. Artificial Newtypes.

Newtypes: The next in natural human evolution, these humans manifest enhanced reflexes and powers of Telepathy, Empathy and, Precognition. Also some newtypes can Influence people to their will and in death a Newtypes can use their mind to "Brain Fry" the enemy that has slain them. There are weapons and system's designed for Newtypes only, they can only use these weapons alone. *Must start off as this*

Coordinator: An evolution created by humans to evolve the rest of the Human race, which wasn’t gifted, with the powers of a Newtype. Coordinators are enhanced both mentally and physically, in nearly every way. Their IQ is well above Genius IQ’s, thus when performing jobs such as an Engineer they are gifted with time cuts based on what it is they are making. What ever it is, the time will be much less than that of non-coordinator engineers. Other fields of profession are also much greater than that of non-coordinators. Also they are gifted with enhanced reflexes which rival even Newtypes in many ways; their strength is super human too. Their powers don’t end there, their bodies produce genes when needed based on situations and events happening to the Coordinator, this allows Coordinators to evolve. They are immune to most diseases and other sorts of things wanting to harm the body. *Must start off as this*

Artificial Newtypes: You must undergo treatment to become one of these. They gain the same abilities as a Newtype, but gain a *tremendous* boost in combat ability. However, after a combat situation, they must go into a special nutrient tank for 2 days to relieve the searing pain that courses through their rewritten DNA and mind. All previous abilities are gone from them after this treatment is done (ie. If you were a Coordinator, you’ve lost the enhanced ability to build things quicker if you were an engineer)

Berserker Coordinator: When something very important to a berserker coordinator is threatened, their pupils contract and their irises become small. They gain reflexes equal to a Newtype’s reflexes and speed for a short time, though this is a draining state to be in. Coordinators that have this undetectable latent DNA are extremely rare. *Must be a coordinator first*

DG Cells: Once a person is infected with DG Cells they will become a slave to the Devil Gundam. In return they gain powers from these nanomachines. All parts of the body become enhanced and have the ability to infect others. Also the Gundams that DG Cell infected pilot has also has the ability to heal it self. Take one day off repairs, but only if no damage was inflicted on the infected suit with a heat or beam based weapon.

Oldtypes: A normal human pilot, normal humans get an exp bonus in combat, because of the fact that they are forced to learn more because they have no special abilities.

Section 5.0 Specialties
Specialties are jobs that your pilot carries out; each has some form of special rules to go along with them.

Super Soldier: Super Soldiers are specially trained soldiers using many different ways of training them and the use of special drugs has produced the ultimate warrior. Super Soldiers are trained in all forms of combat thus they have the better chance of winning battles but will get less EXP from them than non-super soldiers. Super Soldiers can assassinate political leaders, its one of their special rules. Assassination happens when you as a Super Soldier pick out a person who is the leader of a faction. To do this you need to role-play it on the message board by the rules listed for them, this means you must give the target a chance to not be killed.

Engineer: Engineers are skilled craftsmen and women who build things for whatever reason there might be, for it can be for money or just a Faction need. Engineers can basically build anything within the limits of the Gundam World; they also need plans for such things to build. To build something you need to make sure you got the plans, to have the plans all you need is what ever you are making or combining. So if your Gundam has these then you got the plans for it, if allies have the plans then you also got the plans. If you do not have friends or you don't have them then you must first take time out to research the parts you need, the time to research something varies depending on what it is. E-mail about the plan so i can work out times for you. After you got this done or have the plans you can start and build what ever it is, again depending on what you are building times of building will vary so e-mail me about that too! After you are done you alone have access to that new item and can share or sell it to who ever you want to.

These rules will apply to all engineers:
1) You will only be allowed to work on one project at a time (ie. One mobile weapon, or new technology.)
2) If a general technology is made, such as a new type of reactor, or propulsion type, you must take a day out if it is to be mounted on your suit right after it is finished being researched.
3) From this point on, only technology combinations inherent in the Gundam universes and technology in the RPG will be permitted as viable research options. No exceptions, so you’d better be creative.
4) After you’ve created the technology through research, you must take time and *build* the item in question.
5) Engineers must take a 5-day break before beginning on another project. They may do any other actions during those 5 days as set forth by the rules.
6) Engineers get an amount of EXP for creating and building their inventions as determined by the GM.

Politics: Politicians are often found as the leaders of Factions; they can swing people to what they are speaking for. Thus Politicians has this special rule, given on how good the speech was a Politician can take over bases without a fight or what ever your target is. Just because you can do this doesn't mean that with your first speech will get you anything, people in this world are not that stupid, so do a few here and there, you may get some where. Your speeches will be posted as events, and the bases you give a speech at will let you continue or leave depending on how good your speech is. Role-playing what a politician would do on the message boards will help.

Tactics: Tacticians are often found as generals of armies, for they are skilled in massive scale combat. They know all the tricks of the trade to be a good leader. In a war, the side with Tacticians will have a better chance of winning for they know what they are doing compared to others. This doesn't mean that they will win it but have a slightly better chance of it.

Section 6.0 Travel
In this RPG there are more places to go besides the Earth and in the Earth Sphere, so every location within the Earth Sphere is able to be traveled by mobile weapon and no need for ships other than to make travel times 1 day anywhere. However leaving the Earth Sphere and going to Jupiter or other planets takes to long for a mobile weapon to do so ships are needed for this.

I shouldn't get e-mails with people wanting to leave a planet and head to another one if you have no ship.

Section 7.0 Capturing
In the RPG you are able to take over Installations, these include bases, colonies, ships and, etc. When doing so this is just like batting normally, you e-mail me what you want to do, include a small plan and you might get what you are going after. Taking over all installations is easy, take out the defenses, ships can only be taken if they are in space dock.

7.1 Planets and Sides: Planets and Sides can be taken over just like bases and such. Sides you must own all the colonies in a Side to own it, benefits from owning a Side is increased protection. Owning a planet you must own all the ownings located on that planet. People cannot set up colonies in Sides that are owned or bases on planets if they are not part of a Side.

7.2 People: People can be capture to carry that out you must battle them and must state in the e-mail you wish to capture them, after that you can do what ever you want with them until you feel like getting rid of them or their friends come and save them. The part after the capturing is moved to the message board.

Section 8.0 Sides
Currently there is only one major side, however this can change at any moment so look back here to see if there are other GM created sides.

United Earth Union: The UEU is the current government that controls the Sol System. After fighting a war with the colonies for so long they have lost a lot of your soldiers and other personal. Thus the UEU is currently trying to recruit people into the UEU.
Starting stats: 50,000 credits at startup and 20,000 every Friday. Start anywhere you wish.
You operate as a independent strike unit do as you will, however sometimes you will be asked to help on missions and etc. posted on your side's Forum. You can create a group within the UEU if you wish for what ever reasons you wish.

AEUG: Not a single side but a group of independent sides, if you are against the UEU the UEU often brands you a AEUG member.
Starting stats: 100,000 at startup and nothing on Fridays, however you are paid double the normal amount for winning a battle but dont gain any for losing one. AEUG can start any where but increased chances of being caught and killed are on UEU strongholds like Earth.

Civilian: For those who dont want to side against anyone. A Civilian can make a side but a side not for fighting unless you plan to switch to AEUG soon, the UEU doesn't like to see people become independent of it self.
Starting stats: 100,000 at startup and nothing on Fridays, however you may take jobs to earn a weekly salary. Jobs can be found on the forums. Civilians can start anywhere without being in any danger unless you do something you shouldn't have done.

8.1 Creating Side: If you don't like any of the Sides listed here then you can make your own, I'll just need a few things from you before i set up your Side.

1.) Have a Faction name ready, it can be anything you want but lets keep it real.
2.) Can have an image for your Faction as a banner and/or flag.

Your Side will be given 300,000 to start out with plus a HQ (Head Quarters), this HQ is like a base and will start out with a decent amount of defenses and such. Make sure not to lose control of this HQ, otherwise your group will become a rouge group until you have another HQ. Note that your Side doesn’t have to be such as to model the preset sides, you can create one for making weapons for people or other purposes as you see fit.

Section 9.0 Non - Player - Characters
Or NPC’s; there will be lots of these. From every base defense MS to a major NPC type character they will do what they want and of course to make the RPG much better. Located at the shop you will be able to buy types of people for what ever needs, more details located at the shop.

Section 10.0 Shop
This is where you buy your supplies and many items from, if they dont have it no one will.

Section 11.0 Supplies & Transports
In the RPG sides will need to build things for themselves, the shop will have more details on the buildings. But to build these you will need supplies, these supplies come in 2 groups,

Normal Supplies – Such as people and other manufactured goods.
Raw Supplies – Things such as steel, titanium and even heiluim-3 is what raw supplies are.

You need to have these supplies at the location of which you are building your building. Thus bases and other buildings will have stockpiles of these supplies but sometimes you might not have enough at one location, thus transporting such goods is a must. Transport lines will be located on the locations page, it takes time for such things and often your transports will be open to raiders, it is a good thing to hire some defense for such things.

Section 12.0 Free For Alls & Tournaments
These are the major EXP gainers; they will be posted on there respective pages. Both give out very good prizes for the winners and runner-ups. FFAs is an all members fighting match with each other at once and tournaments are planed battles with set ups to see whom you fight next after winning a round.

Section 13.0 Forces and Fleets
Forces and Fleets are what you buy in the store, groups of mobiles suits are Forces and groups of ships are Fleets. These can be set up as a defense for your bases or they can be set against something. Though they may win or lose you get no EXP for it or money. A force or a fleet may capture things for you to in the same way, as you had to do.

Section 14.0 Mistakes and Other
If a mistake is made in your battle or on your stats, don't freak out. Trust me, there's no giant conspiracy directed towards only you, to screw you over as much as possible. All you have to do is email me, telling me about the mistake, and I'll get it fixed as soon as possible.

Section 15.0 All Done?
Please make sure you read over all the pages of the RPG before you join. There are rules that don't appear on this page but that are best described on their own pages. It'll also help you get a bit more acquainted with the layout and workings of the RPG if you take a few minutes to read over a few battles, and check out the message boards. Join now!
