	Burning Stars Defenders: Catastrophe Gundam, Duel Gundam, Freedom, Kowloon Gundam, Neue Ziel, Nightingale, Physalis, Rasveyt, Xi, ZZ Attackers: Double X, Epyon, F-90, Gundam X, Turn X, Wars usually have two sides. And wars usually end having many people die. This war's only difference is that it has stretched across space and is touching more than one planet. The last time a war of this type was tried by those in power it was drowned by the Corporation. The governments fell. Now the Corporations rule and they are run by one thing. Greed. And this greed has started a fire so massive that it has spred ruin everywhere it went. There has been no exception. Millions have died so a corporation can become more power and more rich. The only corporation that hasn't tried to conquer and destroy is the corporation that was taken command by neutral party. And now they are forced to protect themselves from extinction. On their capital colony called Home One a small group of people have gathered to defend this mainly neutral corporation. They all have different backgrounds and they all have different reasons for defending this corporation. Some of them may even for the less than noble cause of money. Some others may have noble reason but only they know. But they are joining a noble cause nonetheless. The most experienced of the group stands of on his own looking up at the ground above him. At this spot in the colony all he can see is the grasslands, forests and some farms. He kicks at the dirt feeling a little out of place and nervous about what he is about to do. Nearby Faith, Kei and Zen are standing talking quietly among themselves. Their loss of the base a few days prior still has Faith a little grumpy. Near another group of three people Thallis keeps an eye on everyone. He doesn't know any one here and he intends to keep it like that. He then looks over beside him and notices that Kale Vital looks uncomfortable and is pretty much staying in the shadows. He frowns but notices that one of Kale's companions is glaring his way so he looks away. "I wonder what he was staring at." sighs Art as he sits down in front of Kale. "Just make sure we stop the attack." states Kale as he leans forwards. And the last of the pilots who came to defend the colony cluster is Cara Richards. She is standing far from the groups of people and is skipping rocks in a nearby lake. Her mood is dark but that is mainly because she is back home. Then she notices a dark haired man with two women to either side of him walking towards the main group of people. She frowns and follows him to the other people. "Greetings. I am glad you could make it here to help defend us from this attack." says the man. "My name is Nicolas Draci." He looks each pilot in the eye to make sure he or she is paying attention. "It has been confirmed that the Martian fleet is almost here. We are sure that they are going to deploy a large number of mobile armors that have the ability to deploy nuclear missiles. You task is to destroy the fleet and make sure not a single missile gets through. We being going out in a hour. So you better go get ready." He turns and begins walking towards the vehicle he came here in. Beside him the two female remain quiet until they are almost to the car. "Do you think they will be able protect Side 3?" asks the one on the right. "Actually Jessi I think they can." answers Nicolas. "But soon we shall see." Jessi nods and climbs into the car first. ---- Four ships move through space. They are the only source of light for a lone distance. Inside the largest ship a mission briefing is going on in a conference room. At the head of the table standing behind a holographic image of a colony cluster is an older looking man. He is waiting for the talking of those who just arrived at the fleet. "Mr. Mithaniel can you get everyone here to quiet down?" asks the older man. "Shut up!" yells Ryan and the room quiets down. "Thank you." sighs the older man as he shakes his head. "Today we are here to remove a threat to the life style of those who live on Mars. With the destruction of Side 3 we will be free to run our lives as we see fit. And besides if we complete this missions you few shall paid hansomely." The only girl group jumps to her feet and slams a fist into David Freeman's face. The three other guys kind of move away from her and look back at the older man giving the briefing. "Can you sit back down now Daemon." asks the older man. Daemon nods and sits back down in her chair while David Freeman is still laying on the ground. "Now your task in this mission shall be to protect Mobius mobile armors that are armed with nuclear missiles. I am sure you can handle this." They nod and then the older man shows them the targets. They include the three main colonies that have military installations on them as well as several other less known colonies. Each pilot waits to find out which group they are going to be stationed with. "David, Daemon and Jon will be deployed to protect the alpha wing. While Walther and Mr. Mithaniel will be deployed to protect Beta Wing. I will be with the later group as well." states the older man as he makes the two different groups appear on the holographic projector. "You are now dismissed. You will find your mobile weapons with the wing you have been assigned to." He turns and leaves through the door that is nearest to his position. The others file out as well. Each going to their assigned wing. ---- As the MTR attack fleet nears the border of Side 3 it begins to deploy its mobile weapons. It takes the fleet nearly 20 minutes to complete the deployment but once it is completed the area around it is filled with mobile weapons. But they soon find that they are not alone at the border to Side 3. Just on the other side is a fleet with its own mobile weapons deployed. Both forces remain in their current position and eye their opponents. Then a signal is sent to the MTR fleet and its forces. "Attention MTR Forces and those allied with them. You are to leave this area immediately. This Z.A. Colony Corporation space. If you try to cross our borders we will defend ourselves with extreme force." David Freeman laughs at this. "Don't they realize that we out number them?" "Probably." replies Walther. "They probably don't care." "Well lets show them that they are going to lose." orders another voice over the radio. David nods and blasts towards the border. Behind him the Turn X and Gundam X move to positions to either side of the 20 nuclear armed Mobius mobile armors while several GuAIZ, Strike Daggers and Buster Daggers take up similar positions. Ahead of them though a whole fleet of normally armed Mobius mobile armors try to open a hole for the people behind them. Most of the defenders are forced to move away from the large amount of missiles and other weapons being fired towards them. With in seconds a hole is opened in the defenders lines but a few mobile suits have remained in the fire storm and are taking no damage from the weapons hitting them. The three suits blast forwards and begin to open fire on the weaker Mobius mobile armors. Berrik who is more experienced is leading the other two pilots. Tyler and Kei follow his instructions to the letter. Before to long they find themselves past the first wave of MTR mobile weapons and before them are the things that is their target. Behind them the Z.A.C.C. ships open fire with their own missiles and energy weapons. The amount of energy fire forces the first wave attackers to scatter. This allows the rest of the defenders to enter the battle. None of them do so in such a manor as Kale in his mobile armor does. His first few shots destroy many of the Mobius mobile armors. But the attackers see this and deploy their own ships to fire on the mobile weapons attacking their forces. Their shots though have less effect though. For the most part the Z.A.C.C. mobile weapons are piloted by more skilled pilots than the Mobius mobile armors have and thus they are killing more. The Rasveyt finds itself just as able to cut through the enemy lines as some of the other pilots are doing. He has been giving the task by his commander to stay a little behind just incase some of the MTR forces get through. So far though the two sides are fighting hard at the border. He then grits his teeth as he sees the mobile suits of the MTR fleet enter the battle and it becomes a free for all. For the most part the newtypes of his allies are able to fight the normal pilots in the Strike Daggers and GuAIZ mobile suits but the Buster Daggers have coordinators and they holding their own against the newtypes. Also a few gundams appear to be helping the mass production mobile suits and these are doing a good job at killing Geara Dogas. Kale Vital in the Neue Ziel blasts through the Mobius fleet once again and he comes face to face with several GuAIZ mobile suits. Their beam rifles fire out at him but his I-Field stops the blasts easily. He grunts and fires his mega particles into the nearest one and flies through its explosion. He then finds a ship in front of him and he grins. With a shot from his mega cannon the Griffon erupts into a fireball. He then turns and heads towards another group of mobile armors but his path becomes blocked as the Epyon appears in front of him. It slashes at the Neue Ziel with its beam sword but Kale easily blocks the attack with his mega claw and its beam saber. The three mobile suits lead by Berrik have met up with resistance from the Double X, Gundam X and the Turn X. Each mobile suit breaks off and takes one of the attacking mobile suits. Berrik finds himself facing a skilled David Freeman. David opens fire first with his Buster rifle but the blast is easily stopped by the Catastrophe's Trans-Phase armor. Berrik's eyes narrow as he fires his plasma rifle. The blast is easily dodged by the Double X but David curses as the round explodes between a group of the nuclear armed Mobius mobile armors. Daemon sees the explosion but she finds herself too busy defending herself from the Duel Gundam. So far it has score a hit on her but it has come close several times. Then the Duel Gundam fires off a swarm of missiles at her. She is able to destroy some with her torso mounted vulcans but some still make it through to her and damage one of her legs. She fires her buster rifle at the Duel Gundam to get it to back off but the suit just stops the blast with its shield and fires its beam rifle twice. One blast misses the GX but the other hits it on the left side of the torso. This destroyes the vulcans mounted there and forces the suit's reactor to shot down. Tyler then fires a couple more blasts into the GX damaging it further. But before the Duel Gundam can totally destroy it and kill the pilot inside the Double X appears with the Catastrophe hot on its tail and it grabs the remains of the GX and sends it flying away from the battle. David then finds himself out numbered but he keeps fighting. His two opponents easily dodge his shots but so far they have been unable to return fire. David grins as he continues to blast away but then the Catastrophe blocks the shot heading for the Duel gundam with its body. Then above the Catastrophe the Duel Gundam reappears and fires its grenade at the Double X while showering it with railgun blasts. The grenade hits the Double X's legs and destroyes them easily. The explosion also tosses the Double X upwards right into the direction of the Catastrophe's aperture cannon's blast. The Double X's armor begins to bubble and melt away. But the suit drifts out of the shot with its cockpit intact. The other suit defending this group is handling its opponent alot better than his two partners did. The Freedom is smoking from several places. Kei grits his teeth as he dodges around another powerful shot from the Turn X's destruction manipulator. The Turn X has proven itself to be a far better suit than the Freedom and it is all Kei can do to keep up with the suit. He has scored a few hits on the Turn X but thanks to its IF-Field it has been able to escape damage. The Turn X's next shot hits the Freedom's beam rifle and destroys it. "Want to take this to saber range do you?" sighs Kei as he tosses away his shield and draws two beam sabers. He then blasts towards the Turn X. Jon Vitz grins and forms a blade at the end of his destruction manipulator and easily blocks the first series of slashes with it. Kei then slashes with both at the same time but the Turn X does something unexpected and shatters. Kei's beam sabers cut through empty space but the Turn X reforms behind the Freedom. Jon is sweating heavily from the strain he just went through. "Leave your suit now and survive." orders Jon as he powers up his destruction manipulator. Kei finds the Turn X behind him. But he knows he will be unable to turn or move fast enough to avoid the next shot. So he blows his hatch and pushes himself out of the cockpit. As he drifts away he turns and watches the death of his mobile suit. The Turn X's blast is massive as it easily consumes the Freedom. Above the battle a single ship moves into position above the MTR Fleet. It is an older ship but it still packs a nice amount of weapons to fire. Out of it four mobile suits launch. They take up positions to the sides of the ship as it rotates its mega particle gun turrets and then it fires. The ten energy blasts hit the Goliath from above and it explodes seconds later. The Defiant fires again and destroys another MTR ship. Then a few mobile suits blast upwards. Cara Richards watches as the four mobile suits easily keep the attacking mobile suits away. She then looks down at the group of Mobius that the Catastrophe and the Duel Gundam are try to destroy and she arms her bazooka. She targets the center of the group and fires. The Nuclear explosion that follows destroys all of the Mobius mobile armors in the group and severly damages the Catastrophe and the Duel Gundam. She grins and flies away from the battle as fast as she can. Faith watches the explosion with Zen and his mobile suit at her side. She shields her eyes and curses as she spots several Mobius Mobile Armors race across the border. She curses and gives chase. She sends her funnels ahead of her. They quickly make it to the enemy mobile armors and blast them apart but she just keeps finding more and more coming. Zen deploys his funnels as well and launches some missiles. They soon find their task overwhelming. Zen curses and chases after some of the mobile armors that escaped their weapons fire and are making a run for the colonies. Faith watches him go but she keeps at the mobile armors around her. Then something she was hoping not to see appears in front of her. The Epyon having escaped the clutches of the Neue Ziel worked its way to the Nightingale. The only thing on his mind is the price on the pilots head inside the Nightingale. She curses but she finds her Psycoframe able to still predict the movements of the man inside the Epyon. She continues to dodge slash after slash but she knows she can't last forever. And this proves true as the Epyon's beam sword slices into her suit's torso and then sparks explode around her cockpit. As her panoramic monitor turns off and on she spots several energy blasts coming at the Epyon. It takes the blasts but is forced to turn around to meet its new attacker. The Xi showers its remaining missiles at it but the Epyon dodges them easily. Then the Epyon and Xi are locked together with beam sabers and beam sword. "Faith go!" yells Zen over the radio. "I won't be able to hold him very long." "But what about you?" asks Faith as she feels what Zen is planning. "Don't worry about me. I will see you in the after life." says Zen as he realizes as well that Faith knows what he is going to do. She nods and blasts away. She quickly puts some distance between her and the Epyon but she knows her mobile suit isn't going to make it to the remaining ships. So she does the only thing she can. She starts her suits self destruct and then blows her hatch and uses a jet pack type thing to propell her towards the ships. Behind her she watches the Nightingale explode. Back at the battle between the Epyon and the Xi the suit continue to slash at each other with their melee weapons but soon the Xi begins to lose the fight. Zen knew he could never beat the Epyon so he is only delaying it. When the Epyon finally scores a fatal hit on the Xi, Ryan Mithaniel looks around and finds the Kowloon Gundam right on him. He tries to move out of the way but the mobile fighter catches the Epyon with a kick to the head that destroys the cameras there. This only blinds the Epyon for a second but it proves to be enough as the Kowloon wraps two beam clothes around the Epyon. And he pulls. The last sound Ryan Mithaniel hears is the sound metal groaning in protest. The last site he sees is his cockpit closing in on him and then nothing remain but a mess of crushed bone and blood. Thallis sighs as he looks back towards the battle and finds himself to far away to do any more. The Rasveyt and the Double Zeta find themselves facing off against about a dozen Mobius mobile armors and the F-90 V Type. Walther grins as he destroys his second Rasveyt bit. His VSBR's spew out energy in tight beams with each shot he fires. Out of like 20 shots though he has only destroy two bits, a couple Jagd Dogas and a Doven Wolf. But he knows he must do more as the small amount of Mobius mobile armors left become even smaller as the ZZ fires its double beam rifle again and again. Walther curses as two bits rush him but he makes shot work of them with his beam rifle. He blocks the shots they fired with his beam shield. Growing desperate he charges the ZZ with his weapons blazing. He scores minor hits on the ZZ but he does distract him. As he nears the ZZ the suit's mega cannon begins to glow but a shot from Walther's VSBR removes the head so the suit's shot never happens. As he comes up on top of the ZZ movement behind makes him turn slightly. This allows him to survive the Rasveyt's beam saber strike. He blows his hatch and pushes away from his mobile suit as it continues to turn towards the Rasveyt. Its beam rifle fires into the Rasveyt but it just turns out to be a bit. The real one appears and fires several beam rifle blasts into the F-90's back and it explodes into a fire ball that damages the ZZ as well. Walther is thrown away by the explosion but he remains uninjured and he gets to witness the last couple of Mobius mobile armors fire their missiles off. Now with no one to stop them they rocket towards their targets. Walther can tell from where he is that only one of them is a major millitary installation while the other is just one that people live in. He sighs as he realizes his group didn't complete their mission. "At least they are weaker." sighs Walther as he closes his eyes and waits for a pick up. Outcome: Mission Failed, Defenders Win Catastrophe Gundam: 4 days of damage, 20 vp +500,000 credits Double X: Upgrading for 8 days, 20 vp Duel Gundam: 4 days of damage, 20 vp +500,000 credits Epyon: upgrading for 8 days, pilot dead for 6 days, 20 vp F-90: upgrading for 8 days, 20 vp Freedom Gundam: upgrading for 8 days, 22 vp +500,000 credits Gundam X: 4 days of damage, 20 vp Kowloon Gundam: 1 day of damage, 20 vp +500,000 credits Neue Ziel: 3 days of damage, 20 vp +500,000 credits Nightingale: upgrading for 8 days, 22 vp +500,000 credits Physalis: no damage, 20 vp 500,000 credits Rasveyt: 5 days of damage, 20 vp +500,000 credits Turn X: 4(2) days of damage, 20 vp Xi: upgrading for 8 days, pilot dead for 6, 21 vp +500,000 credits ZZ Gundam: 3 days of damage, 20 vp +500,000 credits Abandoned Hopes Faith watches those around her rush about complete tasks before the start of what they had in mind. She sighs as she looks around at the installation that she now owns. Well the organzation she formed owns it but it is pretty much the same. She can feel the sense of determination of those around her and she takes heart. She nods and begins running towards the mobile suit hanger. And she runs right into Zen and Kei as they go over lists of supplies. "You seem to be in just as much of a rush as everyone else." states Kei. Zen grunts his acknowledgement and goes back to the list. "Thats all I have been able to get out of him so far. So where are heading?" "The hanger." answers Faith. "Good. I will come with you." "You okay here alone Zen?" asks Faith. "I am. Go." replies Zen as he turns and walks back in the direction Faith came from. Faith nods and runs off to the mobile suit hanger with Kei in tow. ---- Ryan Mithaniel sits waiting outside the base with several other mobile suits. His mobile suit around makes him almost feel like he is in the womb. The Zero system even at this threat level feeds him a staggering amount of information. The two new people to the group are sitting together but neither of them are strangers to the battlefield. They are eager to get going but Ryan is waiting for the clouds to completely cover the moon. He only has to wait another hour before they cover the moon enough for him and he blasts into the sky. The other suits that can fly follow while the others remain on the ground and advance toward their target. With ships mainly behind them they feel confident in their attack. Also they an ace up their sleeve. "Everyone stick to the plan." orders Ryan as he lets the others go ahead for him as he slows to keep an eye on the base. Ahead of them though the base bursts to life. Out of it mulitple mobile suits erupt. They quickly meet the attackers with their weapons blazing. The Freedom leads the charge. But Kei is forced under cover as weapons fire tracks towards him. Although he isn't afraid of the solid weapons but their is enough energy blasts directed at him to make him nervous. Then over him a trio of missiles race by. He turns and watches them enter the mobile suit hanger and explode to spew out green gas. He curses hoping that no one was there. But his attention is forced back to the battle at hand as two gundams drop out of the sky behind his mobile suit. Kei spins around and opens fire on the two mobile suits. His blasts are either dodged or miss. Daemon grins and charges forwards while firing her many vulcan guns but the bullets are just stopped but the Freedom's phase shift armor. Kei grins and blasts towards the Gundam X but is advance is stopped as the Double X opens fire on him with its buster rifle. The Defending Quin Mantha comes to Kei's rescue. Its mega particle weapons churning up the ground and forcing the two gundams to leap back into the air. The many energy blasts fall from the sky. The Freedom dives to the ground at Quin Mantha's feet for protection but he doesn't escape damage as an energy blast destroys his suit's left foot. Near the main doors to the base Faith see this and deploys her funnels. Two suits beside her do the same and then the shower of energy stops and the sky fills with energy blasts. She looks over at the clock and nods. "Forgotten Wish it is time to leave." states Faith into her headset. "All other forces keep the attackers busy. We were already leaving the base but I don't think we will leave any here now though." Kei nods and blasts into the air leaving the badly damaged Doven Wolf and the Quin Mantha to face those forces still on the ground. He takes himself to the suits blasting away at the base from the air. He finds the three mobile suits waiting for him. He curses and dodges the large energy blast from the Turn X. This proves to be good timing for him in more than one way as two large energy blasts come from above the base. He turns to finds the Forgotten Wish coming out of the base. It just fired its Lohengrin guns. The blast missed the three suits but still gave them damage. Then a red mobile suit blasts by the Freedom and brings its beam sword through it. With heavy damage now Kei is forced to retreat. Ryan Mithaniel on the other hand is completely fresh and his head straight to what he is supposed to handle in this fight but does something unexpected and turns and blasts away into the night. Not wanting to be led to far from his underlings he turns back towards the base and spots a retreating Nightingale and two Qubeley MPTs. The three suit easily sense Ryan as he drops out of the sky. He is able to destroy one of the Qubeley's but the Nightingale and the other Qubeley begin firing on him and force him to retreat. Then out of the sky the Xi appears. It is showing light damage but for the most part is ready to keep fighting. Zen grunts as he blasts several missiles into the Epyon at point blank range. The blast damages his mobile suit as well but the Epyon found itself more damaged. Zen turns and blasts after the retreating ship. Before Faith goes though she turns and watches as the Epyon struggles to its feet. But it doesn't stay there as she removes its feet. "Maybe next time." states Faith as she retreats. Outcome: Diamond Mine Captured Double X: 2(0) days of damage, 15 vp +100,000 credits Epyon: 4(0) days of damage, 16 vp +100,000 credits F-90: 2(0) days of damage, 16 vp+100,000 credits Freedom: 3(0) days of damage, 16 vp Gundam X: 2(0) days of damage, 18 vp +100,000 credits Nightingale: 1(0) day of damage, 16 vp Turn X: 2(0) days of damage, 18 vp +100,000 credits Xi: 3(0) days of damage, 16 vp The Fall of the TX Walther runs along the ground below the Double X. He keeps an eye on the flying gundam. But something ahead of him catches his attention. The cliff he was looking for. Below it he can already see his target. The ship is flying by below the cliff. Its armor still showing signs of its run in with the Epyon. The Double X then dives off the cliff towards the TX 513. The Pegasus class then begins to fire its anti-air weapons at the gundam diving at it. David Freeman though easily dodges the energy blasts. Then he lands in front of the bridge and fires his beam rifle through it. The ship then stops moving forwards. "Got the bridge." states David into his headset. Walther nods and leaps off the cliff face himself. He activates his beam shield and blocks the energy blast erupting up at him. He fires his VSBR a couple times and reduces the amount of anti-air laser guns firing up at him and then he activates some of his thrusters and slows his decent and lands softly on the hull of the TX 513. He then has his suit rip a hole into the armor of the ship. In the hole he can see a hallway. "Its ready. Lets go." states Walther as he opens his hatch and jumps to the hull below. He takes the machinegun from behind his back and looks into the hull. He spots movement just at the edge of what he can see. He looks over at David and finds him ready so he does the silent gesture that states there are enemy soldiers down in the hallway. He then pulls out a smoke grenade and tosses it into the hull. A few seconds later smoke starts to come out of the hole. David jumps in first and begins shooting right away. Walther then follows and finds David just finishing with the last of the small group of defenders. "Now we must go to engineering and take that over and then we have the ship." states David as he runs forwards. Walther curses his partner's lack of caution. After a series of corridors and fights the two find themselves at the doors to engineering. There are several guards waiting for them but thanks to heavy fire from both David and Walther they are cut down. Their own guns have run out of ammo but they have commandeered the guns from those defenders that they killed and have been picking up ammo as they go. They find the door locked but David puts a shaped charge against the door and blows it open. They are greeted by gun fire as they try to enter the now open door. David grunts and nods at Walther to throw a grenade into the room. After smoke starts coming out of the door they both jump in. After the smoke clears the defenders find both David and Walter standing on machinery with guns pointing down at them. They curse and begin to raise their weapons but Walther fires his gun at their feet. "Drop your weapons or we will kill you." orders Walther and then he watches them do that. "And you people can help us bring the ship to our ship." "Where is Ky?" asks David. One of the engineers grin and walk over to a computer terminal. On the screen appears an image of Ky entering a fighter. It then blasts out of the ship and then disappears from view. David curses and then glares at the soldier. "Cut all power to the weapons and then lets go." growls David as he jumps down but he keeps his gun pointed at the men at all times. "And close the bulkhead." A sound of metal grinding behind him tells him that the door is sealed. He nods and watches the men go about their work. Outcome: TX 513 captured. Double X: no damage, 10 vp F-90: no damage, 10 vp
