I'm curious as to how many ships were bought and got destroyed, but that has to be in the hundreds.
This was a fun game, all told.

This thread has been completely ruined by people who use it to post passive aggressive remarks rather than stuff that is genuinely funny when taken out of context.
I'm well aware that the RE IRC quotes thread is full of people flaming each other, but I don't want this thread turning into the same, so since the RPG is over, it is now being locked.

[16:49] <Scarth> There's one battle left for ya Strikey. [16:50] <Strikey> I'm not a writer Scarth [16:51] <Strikey> and since i'm taking a month long break from staff duties I dont have access to view the writers board [16:51] * Scarth hands Strikey a pen [16:52] * Strikey takes the pen and stabs Hotaru in the throat with it and writes a battle in her own blood [16:57] <Gray> That's a little dark [16:58] <Scarth> I want to read that battle! [16:59] <Scarth> It's bloody brilliant.

I demand a recount! I'm pretty sure I have 7 points in there as it stands. In addition, I actually had 3 RP rewards, but 2 were replaced by the Heavy Gundam when Arieta 'died.'
I also admit that I probably wasn't reliable enough to be on the 'was staff' list. I apologize for that again. The Air Force is still kicking my butt.

"No, it didn't. Nothing went according to plan. Stop with the lies already!"
"Damnit to hell, just stick with the script, alright? You got paid already, so shut it with the snark and read the damn lines!"
"But this makes no sense whatsoever. You're effectively retconning everything that has been done so far as some sort of previously unheard of plan. That's like a massive asspull from nowhere!"
"Hey, this is my story, so I'll decide if something is an asspull or not. I don't need some second rate actress telling me what I can, or can't do with my story. Especially now that we're about to wrap everything up. So get into character and read. Your. Damn. Lines."
"You know what? I don't need this. Screw your story about a single female captain in a war torn world. Screw the horrible role of a snarky doctor that I'm playing, and most importantly, screw you!"
"Hey wait a moment, you can't quit. I didn't write that you could. Hey, get back here before I delete you like words on a computer screen!"
The actress playing the snarky doctor left the room, only for the real snarky doctor to enter.
"Oh hell, not another one, Roslyn. Honestly, at the rate you're burning through these actors, you're going to waste all of our money we've gotten for that last mission."
"Not my fault those 'actors' can't act like they were suppose to. Honestly, you would think they would work for free, if given the chance for a part of my grand artistic vision..." Roslyn momentarily stop her speech to let Gwen finish laughing. "As I was saying, my grand artistic... You're just going to laugh everytime I say those words, aren't you?"
After a moment of laughing, Gwen simply nodded. "To be fair, you're making a biographical movie on your life, despite the fact that you're still alive and contributed nothing to the war."
Roslyn sighs. "I hate it when you're telling the truth. But did you have to be so blunt about it."
"I could be subtle, but that's not as fun. Although I have to ask, just how much money is left after this little production of yours, anyway?"
"None. I spent everything."
"What..."
"Well, I didn't spent everything on the production. I made a small investment on some real estate. Now granted, it's a bit of fix-me-up, but with enough money, we can rebuild it. We have the technology. Something faster, stronger..."
Gwen slammed her palm into her face. "You spent all of our money on some broken down house... JUST TO MAKE THAT STUPID REFERENCE?! Know what, Roslyn, that actresses had the right idea. Go screw yourself." She turned around and walked away, while Roslyn chased after her.
"Look, hear me out first. It's not as bad as you think it is."
"No, Roslyn. I've had it. I've tried to teach you responsibility and you go ahead and blow all of our money on some run-down, piece of crap house? I-" The speakers flared up for a moment and cut Gwen off to announce their arrival at the edge of Side 4. "Side 4? Why the hell are we even here? We should be back at Von Braun City for repairs and buying cargo."
"Look, before you get upset... Alright, before you get even more upset. Can you do me a favor and look out the nearest window?"
Gwen glared over at her ex-best friend for a moment before taking a look at the nearest window. "What am I suppose to be looking at here? Federation rebuilding their asteroid base and space colony in the area. Nothing special here."
"Correction. Federation is rebuilding their asteroid base."
Gwen glared at Roslyn again. "I just said that. The rebuilding the base and colony in the area."
"And I corrected you. The Federation are only rebuilding the asteroid base."
"What are you..." Then the realization dawned on Gwen. She looked out at the window and focused on the space colony. After a while, she looked at Roslyn. "Wait, is that..."
Smiling, Roslyn replied. "That's right, it's ours. I figured, it's about time our crew got a place to call home. Besides, now I can finally make his, and incidentally, yours as well, dream comes true."
Gwen asks, "What the hell are you talking about?"
"My old captain. I finally figured out what he was trying to do."
"Your old captain? The crazy one?"
"Can't blame you for thinking that. But then again, that's probably one of the reason why I, and the other member of the crew, were drawn to him."
"What are you thinking about?"
Looking rather nostalgic, Roslyn answered, "He was eccentric, but he was doing that so me and Maria wouldn't feel so out of place. By acting so strangely, we felt as if we belonged for once."
"You and Maria?"
"Newtypes, my good doctor," Roslyn explained. "He acted so strange so our own strangeness would pale in comparison. That we're not so different from one another."
"That explains nothing, Roslyn. What the hell does him acting like an insane man got to do with you spending our credits on a colony?"
"Simple, really. It's half base of operation for our group, half home for our crew, and half safe haven for any Newtypes and other refugees from the war. Considering how much crap the world has been through lately, it's the least I can do."
Staring at Roslyn, Gwen gave a half smile before smacking Roslyn on the side of her head. "That's a total of one and half, you math professor reject." Looking out at the window once more, she inquired, "So, have you got a name for this space colony of ours?"
"Polaris."
"Polaris? As in the north star, Polaris? It's symbolic, I'll give you that."
"Why thank you. It was either that or Shooting Star, but that name tempts fate way too much instead of it being a symbol of hope and wishes."
"Now you're just being paranoid. There's no way in hell the Federation won't have a contingency plan after what happened the first time around."
Feeling a bit reassured, Roslyn replied, "Maybe you're right. Considering how abruptly this story has ended, I'll be surprised if a sequel is even considered."
Gwen sighs. "I'll never understand how you Newtypes think. I don't even understand a word of that last line. Still, Maria, a newtype? That explains so much, I'm surprised I didn't think of it sooner."
"And I expect you not to think of it anymore. She's off-limits."
"Don't worry. I only experiment on close friends."
The two share a laugh as they start to make their way to the bridge to share the news of their new home to the rest of the crew. It's not the most ideal of endings, but it's not a bad ending either. The war will still continue and more stories will be told, but someone deserves a happy ending, and Roslyn and her crew certainly earned it.

You're the only one, Frenzy.
Atra, Feyd and Jojo did, but they were seriously injured so you get THE PRIZE.

Who else made it to the end from the start with their original character?
Also, isn't the BD's NT rating fixed anyhow?
