We are investing too much into this one base... I want to hold off long enough to get out of the area and not be stuck turtling... I want to be able to strike out and take their ships out. I would like an assault on the Hillock still in East Asia before a fleet can be reformed again.

I don't think that's possible, nobody would even be shown as being in East Asia and able to attack until after Monday's update, and by then they might have reformed their fleet.

And this is exactly why we need to break this before you even think about starting to spread our forces out even more. We don't need another compound to worry about losing. I lost a lot trying to save the damn base I'm on now. Not ready to spend more money on another base, to spend more money to defend it and sacrifice the same shit to do it again. As of right now we are not prepared to be building anything.

I'll give you 200RP on Monday so that you can buy a Jukon. The rest of my RP I'll probably wind up spending on my pilots/doms for them.
I'd volunteer to move to East Asia, but basically after the RF-4 Attack, because I really could use some more VP.

I realize I'm not currently in East Asia and facing this decision, but I would like to point out that I definitely don't think Manila is indefensible. I think we have a pretty good shot at bleeding their resources dry if we can bait them into another siege, this time with better anti-siege artillery and tactics.
But I am probably 100% alone on that.

I appreciate it Zero, and Good luck on RF-4.
I will look into possible choices for some anti siege weapons, but I'm still against building anything else when we're struggling to defend what we have.

EDIT: lol. I replied to the first page of this post, not realizing there was a second. ftw.
EDIT 2: Turns out original post is more or less appropriate...
I guess the question is, then, how committed are we to East Asia? If we're going to have to put a lot of personal RP into the defense of Manila, we need to decide if we're going to be staying there for quite some time. Is it worth it? Right now we're 4 people against 9, and outmatched 2 to 1 in terms of resources. The fact that just two of us and a tiny island fortification have distracted the people at Manila this long is pretty neat; it's kept those men from being deployed to other regions and causing trouble. But I don't know if I have an interest in spending my entire time in the RPG refortifying a small island while other people get to fight the war. I'm not trying to be selfish here, but unless we get more of an outside committment, I'm scooting out of there come Tuesday and going to North Africa.

I don't want to waste our time in Manila any further, if we can distract them a little longer, great, but only if it takes a few of us, and we can break through their forces and get out. I'd like to take a ship or two of theirs out on way to Zeon Territory, we need to regroup inside friendly territory and strike out from there.
NO BUILDING XD

If only we could get ahold of 40,000 RP and buy some nukes. I could totally see Aldo sitting in the middle of Manila, straddling a bomb, smoking a cigar, just waiting for the Feddies to knock down his door...
But yeah, no building. Honestly, if two people and an island fortification distracted more than half the Federation presence on Earth for this long I think it's high time we called it a victory. Maybe purchase those Zaku K for the island like Matthew suggested (might keep them occupied a little longer), and then bootscoot it to the Indian or Pacific Oceans to mess up some of their supply convoys.
EDIT: OH SHI--
Something to keep in mind, for a rainy day...

BTW, Chris, is Daniel joining Monday? If he has a Dodai, it might help Dan and I take on the Hillock. Or, alternatively, he could group with us as we try to get the hell out of dodge...

Sweet. So if we want to get a trio of Zaku Cannons, it's 75 RP a pop. 75 x 3 = 225.
How would we want to split this up? I could throw most of my money down on the three Cannons, but they'd be piloted by newbies. If Dan, Chris and I all spend 125 we can each get 1 x L2 Zaku Cannon for the base; or 1 x L3 Zaku Cannon for 175.
On Monday, do you think it's worth making a "response" against what the Federation pulled Thursday? In other words, should Dan and Daniel and I all ambush their leader in East Asia and attempt to kill him? Or is the Hillock a bigger concern?

After the battle with RF-4, I'm probably going to head over to East Asia to provide help for a little bit. It doesn't seem like there is much activity in Africa anymore that the guy's already there can't handle.
I do think holding East Asia is at least worth considering, because when Odessa rolls around forces in East Asia could possibly delay them from getting to Central Asia. I do not mean simply holding Manilla either, but launching a full campaign against East Asia to bring it completely under Zeon control if possible. But that's probably impossible, given the number of named NPC's there.
So maybe we should just abandon East Asia afterall.

I am inclined to purchase another Jukon to place my NPC on... but guess we could wait. I can't do anything personally for a week and a half. That hillock needs to go. They can't form the fleet again til Tuesday, so hit it hard, and fast!
