Looks like we'll be waiting for our battle for the next day or so. Woes.
I hope I get to punt my Type 61...

See the main board thread, he didnt want to churn it out in one night. He's writing meaningful shit which worries me...It means someone can die.

That or since he doesn't have to worry about writing more, he's just taking his time. Still worrisome, but this is a holiday week, so for all we know, he's just busy.

I'm worried because based on Ketara's description of the event-writing process, the Himalaya is deployed on the north side of Malta (same side as U-99) and the Hillock is going to be deployed on the south side where it can take shots at the Gaws attempting to land troops.

I'm getting the feeling the general theme here being that we should probably scout these bases before we go "FUCK YEAH WE'RE AWESOME".......Anyone else in favor of that?

I like that idea Zero!
But seriously, I do like the Himalaya being North with me since it is my target.Totally means I dont even have to worry about anything from the Hillock, I just need to get past a Aircraft carrier's weaponry...

I think we're in pretty good shape, at this point. We've taken losses, and will take more, but that isn't unexpected.
Hillock is gone. It appears the Federation airpower is in retreat, too (though probably leading our Dopps into a twist, like fighter support from Belfast). Dragon is damaged severely, same with Apsalus. Stilva seems to be hanging in there alright. Dan is free to engage the Himalaya (along with any surviving Marines from the Gaws) -- while U-99 can offer him support, or bombard the shore and cover our people as they hit beach.
The ground forces on Dragon and Stilva have the numbers, and match or better in terms of experience, against the four GM Ground Types and one Guntank MPT. Then there's also Ferusha and Duncan on the barges. The one thing that'll hurt us here is they have the advantage of being dug in. But if that happens, I'm hoping the air battle doesn't go so badly that the Stilva or U-99 won't be standing for fire support.
I guess the one thing I'm worried about right now is that communique to Belfast. If our Dopps are running into a trap, that'll be a less-than-fun experience for the Stilva and Apsalus. Or Rhett when he goes after the Medea (which I hope we see fall, because it's good RP, and because Medeas needs to die).
I may be missing something, and nothing ever goes according to plan, but I'm pretty optimistic that Malta will end up in our favor. Hopefully our cousins in space pull theirs out as well.
