Before we start, I want to thank everyone who transferred their RP and moved into position yesterday. On extremely short notice we managed to setup the strike on Malta, and I believe we are poised to take the base on Monday. You might say we erected one hell of a Combined Operation Combat Korps, and we’re now ready to thrust it straight down the Federation’s throat.

Because of what it spells. Am I right!?!

Moving on!

We still have a few things we need to take care of before/on Monday. I’m hoping we can use the weekend to tie up any loose ends, contact those we failed to involve yesterday, and maybe bandy about possible strategies for Malta. This thread is devoted almost exclusively to Europe, because of its urgency.

1) RP

We got the money into Matthew’s hands, but not without caveats. Chris sent his RP to Matthew as a precaution, in case some of the transfers didn’t pan out. Since this was the case, Matthew got the requisite RP, but Chris is down 900-some RP we were hoping to devote to East Asia.

Ryocha, I noticed you didn’t transfer RP to Ando. Do you mind sending the 525 RP in your account to Chris (Xavier Brennan) on Monday? This is the 400 not sent to Ando, plus the 125 we were hoping to have transferred to Chris on Monday already. Please know that you (obviously) are in no way obligated to send the money, but that it would play an integral role in the success of this operation.

Orichi, I assume, has not read the thread. I emailed him last night, but have no other means of contact with the guy. If any of you see him in the chat, or know him in real life, or have a relationship with him from previous games, could you please contact him and ask that he sends the 401 RP in his account to Chris (again, Xavier Brennan) on Monday?

Everyone else got the RP to Ando. Again, I can’t thank you enough. Please, if you do not mind, follow up by making the donations to Chris, which I outlined in the previous thread. These would take place on Monday. As a reminder…

* It is extremely likely not all of this will be spent on East Asia. We would like to use the RP to purchase a Gaw, and perhaps fortify Manila. What isn’t used will be funneled straight back to Malta, for reinforcement of the island base, and to be focused towards the eventual assault on Belfast.

2) Positioning

As far as I can tell, our positioning is good. I’ll outline what people need to do Monday to attack Malta below (please point it out if I'm screwing something up), but I imagine you all are already on top of this…!

-----Markos Steiner stays on Dragon.
-----Noelle Everett stays on Dragon.
-----Rhett Paruta boards new Gaw.
-----Ferusha Glavadeen moves to Malta to attack.

-----Dragon moves to attack Malta.
-----New Gaw moves to attack Malta.
-----U-99 moves to attack Malta.

The question mark appears to be Yuji Takeshi. He is in North Africa, but pilots the Apsalus. There is no room for it in either of the Gaw hangars. Shitty as it sounds, I believe this may have been an oversight in last night’s plan. Unless... I wonder if the “Zeon ships can tug one mobile armor” rule applies?

3) Matthew’s Purchases

2696 – 2010 = 686 RP remaining. This 686 RP can be used by Matthew to upgrade Dopp pilots on the new Gaw (I am in favor of this, considering the base's planes still outnumber us handily), or be saved to fortify Malta following our attack.

And that, my friends, appears to be that. Please let me know if I’ve overlooked anything. As stated earlier, I would like to tie up any loose ends we can over the weekend.

We potentially have 23 Dopps against their sum total of 30-something aircraft. It shouldn't be that much of a problem.

I'll try to look over this thread in-depth and start drafting the e-mail tomorrow. As far as the rainstorms go, I believe there were adverse weather conditions the last time we tried attacking Malta and it didn't really play into it, hopefully it will be the same situation this time.

I have run it by Gaplant, but I stored 35 (became 38, perhaps I wrote the email wrong) RP from the transfer today in order to help with the attack force on Monday.

The U-99 is empty at the moment and I hoped to throw a Zaku II J and a Gouf in the hanger before the attack, as well as move my marines to the sub, and purchase a Gunship Helicopter to assist the Panzergrenadiers in the assault. (Fan Fan killing) Let me know if this is not agreeable.

Also, we should calculate in the threat of Thorvald Siggurdson's return to the battlefield. Do you think Yuji/Cloud would be up for ambushing him on Monday? It's not exactly an enviable task, but the Apsalus's Minovsky craft pulse might be the best bet when it comes to trying to repel Blue Destiny.

Blue Destiny and GM S will both be operational, although unless I'm mistaken if he tries to ambush one of the ships then an ambush won't stop his attack from halting our paradrop action. I meant to mention earlier, also, that I believe Apsalus can be stowed on either Gaw in accordance with the Zeek MA Rule.

Correct, I can purchase it all for the Monday assault and be left with that mysterious 3 RP overage. Could have sworn I corrected the total in the email since Gunships are 30 now not 33. I failed.

I'll send my moolah to Chris on Monday; it slipped my mind when I made the email. Overall, the plan is looking to be pretty bitching and I'm in support of upgrading the Dopp pilots to compensate for quality over quantity.

Also, I suggest we name the new Gaw the Big Orgasm.

Do PC suits take up room in ship hangars? I forget if that's the case for ships or bases or both. If they do, we'll have to leave one of your Zakus behind. We're already at maximum hangar capacity on both ships.

And if you buy the Dodai, Matthew can just purchase one less Dopp on Monday.

EDIT: A quick rules check confirms this to be the case. We'd have to leave your Zaku behind, due to hangar limitations. And since it's probably preferable to have a Dopp in that hangar space, rather than an unaccompanied Dodai, I believe the purchase order isn't affected.

Regarding the aircraft issue, the breakdown of our planes versus theirs looks like this...

Zeon
Dragon: 1 x Luggun, 7 x Dopp
Gaw 2: 2 x Dodai, 6 x Dopp
Flight Support: 10 x Dopp
Gaw x 2

Total = 1 x Luggun, 2 x Dodai, 23 x Dopp, Gaw x 2

Federation
Malta: 3 x Fanfan, 5 x Tin Cod, 6 x Fly Manta, 6 x Depp Rog, 2 x Dish
Dhaulagiri: 10 x Tin Cod, 12 x Don Escargot
Steppe: 1 x Dish, 1 x Don Escargot

Total = 3 x Fanfan, 15 x Tin Cod, 6 x Fly Manta, 6 x Depp Rog, 12 x Don Escargot, 3 x Dish

I'll also mention that 9 of their Tin Cod are L2, 2 Fly Manta are L2, 6 Depp Rog are L2, both Dish are L2, and all 12 Don Escargot are L2. Meaning sticking L2 (or even L3) pilots in our Gaw-based Dopps really, really wouldn't hurt.

We've got more Dopps than they have Tin Cod, but not overall fighters. Our Gaws should be pretty impressive in AA combat, but I imagine not so much as to totally negate the Depp Rog and Don Escargots. We've certainly got the MS advantage, and I like to think the firepower advantage as well. Apsalus itself should be able to wipe out a fourth of those fighters simply by getting close and using a Minovsky craft pulse. But I'd feel a lot more secure if we were launching with more air superiority. So if anyone has suggestions on fielding more aircraft, they are certainly welcome.
