This thread was supposed to be serious, and was pretty heavily derailed while I was out of town.
We are going to do an FFA. Not only does there seem to be a lot of opposition to the tournament idea, but at this point I really would like my week break and don't want to have to write the 50+ duels that would be required of a tournament.
Further, I am pretty disappointed in my forum mods for not regulating this while I was away. Especially Aleksei, who directly contributed to the schenanigans.
Feyd, Blackmage, Anastasia, Advocate, Kuriboh, Jon, Malacai, Cid, Chan and Aleksei have all been given a 24 hour forum ban.
I am pretty angry with you guys.

I didn't think of the ridiculous number of battles that would be required of such a thing. I consider that a valid reason for no tourney, and I do not think I am alone.
