Like the other places, it's empty, save for a desk full of journals, neatly filed, a pouch, and a skull candydish.
You spy a few salt-water taffy.

Those sealed barrels outside perplexed you.
Prying them open with a nearby piece of wood, they reveal their contents.

You take off your ruined shirt and use it to make a taffy pouch.
This might help the long journeys, given the expiration dates of common seafood.
Also, you notice you have a particularly bad sunburn.
There are footsteps on the gundeck.

Not a good idea to insult a captain's ship.
Another jab puts you on your arse.
You spy a taffy pouch on his person, a knife in his belt, and a sulfur match; presumably for the cannons.
Play this prissy wrong, and you might be dead soon. Taffyless and broke.
