Bases

Special Environments: all bases are considered above ground facilities unless otherwise noted. Players may choose as many of these as make sense.

Underground – The vast majority of this base is located underground an is not easily assaulted.
Floating – The base is located on a large body of water.
Desert – Located in a punishing desert
Mountainous – involving a mountain
Coastal – next to a body of water large enough to hold ships.
Urban – in the ruins of the old world

Size: Bases can range from single bunkers to sprawling cities.

Small: a single building.

Medium: A typical military reserve base consisting of several buildings
5 facilities

Large: Standard military bases or towns.
10 facilities

Sprawling: Large cities of the old world size.

Facilities:

Facilities -need to be purchased before unit can be bought at base (previously owned units may garrison)

  • troop facility (hospital/barracks/armory etc) – required to house units other than tanks, ships and aircraft. 1000 Rc.
  • Aircraft hangar – required to house aircraft 400 Rc
  • Motor pool – required to house tanks 300 Rc
  • Docks - required to house ships, ships parked at a facility without these may be attacked independently of the facility. Requires coastal. 200 Rc.
  • Sheltered dock -Provides defense for ships housed in the facility, prevents interruption of actions not requiring movement. Requires coastal 500 Rc.
  • Research laboratory  – required to refit or upgrade a unit. 700 Rc.
  • Ammunition fabricator – Required to have defensive emplacements, if destroyed emplacements cease to function at the end of the update after it was destroyed.500 Rc.
  • Shipyard – required to manufacture ships, requires blueprints. Manufactured ships cost 50% less. 2000 Rc.
  • Biological control computer –  Manages all facilities and repairs them as needed (repairs on weekend update), also prevents equipment controlled by it from being hacked or used against the facility. Caution: May develop sentience. 600 Rc.

Defenses: 

Wall – 6 meters high, Must be destroyed or climbed to assault base. Doe not require facility. 100 Rc.

wall turret – Requires wall, Ammunition fabricator. (Grade C plasma x2) 50 Rc.
Laser turret - Requires Ammunition fabricator. (Grade C laser x 2) 70 Rc.
Beam Battery
Requires Ammunition fabricator. (Grade C beam x2) 70 Rc.
Howitzer
Requires Ammunition fabricator. Grade C Heavy arms. 80 Rc.
Close in weapon system (CIWS) – Requires Ammunition fabricator. Grade C Heavy arms.20 Rc.
Missile battery -
Requires Ammunition fabricator. missile best used against attacking ships. Each battery has 6 missiles. 40 Rc.
