The time has come. A new, longer, harder, less complex, and hopefully better Taikai is coming. This Taikai will last for a while, not sure when it will end or if there will be one. Participants fight others in their ladder. Ladders are decided by the VP you have at the moment before the Taikai.
This Taikai, unlike the last one, will be 1 on 1 only. You will never fight anyone out of your bracket. The only ones with this option are the #1's in each bracket and they may only fight the other #1's.
The Brackets are as follows: 1-150 VP (Starters Bracket), 151-250 VP (Seasoned Bracket), 251-350 VP (Veteran Bracket), 351-499 VP (Seasoned Veteran Bracket), 500+ VP (Elite Bracket).
Taikai Ladder Matches take place on the new Strato-Colony of Tone. Participants are instantly transported to the match the day of it and then are transported back once it is over. No damage is taken in these matches unless the pilot is killed.
The maximum amount of VP gained from each fight is 5. Now, I realize some people will gain more VP than their bracket is set for. In this case, players may graduate to the next bracket. But there are two requirements to graduate to the next bracket. One is that you must have atleast 10 higher VP than the bracket's maximum. Two is that you must be the #1 in that bracket. Graduating is not mandatory until you are 60 VP over the bracket's maximum.
Once you graduate, you move to the last place position in the next bracket. You will keep two records, one will be for the ladder you are in and one will be for all the battles you've fought in all the ladders you've been in. When you graduate, your ladder record is reset, but your overall record remains the same until your next battle..
