Moon Shine Down on Me:
A man sits alone in an island of calm. Around him is chaos as crew go about their work. But the area directly around is calm. The crew when ever they enter the bubble that seems to surround him, they become less hurried and less frantic. Albert Cross calmly reads a report filled by one of the soldiers under his command. A soldier who happens to be on another continent. After he finishes reading the report he nods to himself as he considers the results of his plan there. He is angry that the plan failed but he never really expected it to succeed. The results he did get though were more than satisfactory. He then brings up the soldier’s personnel file and nods to himself again.
The man is nothing more than a weapon to be pointed at the enemy
. Albert thinks to himself. I shall use him as such since he seems to be unable to come up with a plan that doesn’t involve going head on at the enemy. But he seems to be able to carry out a plan with out any difficulties. A soldier that seems to fight my needs almost as well as young Jonah.As Albert finishes that thought he closes the file and looks out the forward viewport. The night sky seemed quiet. The only object Albert could see was the moon which seemed to be at a quarter full. It provides little light to the terrain ahead of his ship. This suits Albert just fine. Then he looks over at the sensor officer as the young man sits straighter in his seat. His head tilted slightly to the side as if he were listening to something.
"You have something?" asks Albert calmly.
"I believe I have contact dead ahead." answers the sensor officer. "I am detecting heat sources of unknown origin. M-Particle density in the area is high. Unable to clear up the readings."
"I believe you have found our prey ensign." states Albert as he pushes a button on his command chair that signals all personnel to battle stations. "Operations make sure the mobile suits are ready to launch at a moments notice."
The woman at the operations station nods and gets to work. Albert nods and looks at a screen to his right that is displaying the terrain in front of his ship. Then the trees seem to erupt with weapons fire as two Zaku II JC types step out and begin firing on the White Knight with their machine guns. Albert turns and nods at the operations officer while signaling the weapons officer to begin firing. The sky lights up as the Pegasus class’ weapons open fire on the Zeon mobile suits.
"Knight Errant Team launching." states a voice over the radio as two mobile suits blasts away from the White Knight.
As the two Zaku mobile suits head for cover from the heavy weapons fire showering down on them. Jonah Manning in his Gundam unit 5 lands behind them with a GM at his side. Jonah brings up his gattling gun and opens fire on the nearest Zaku. The bullets shred the Zeon mobile suit and it quickly falls. The other Zaku disappears in a fireball as a lucky shot from the White Knight hits it. Jonah listens as debris from the Zaku pings off his mobile suit’s armor.
As a warning sounds in Jonah’s head he blasts his mobile suit to the side. Narrowly dodging an attack by another Zaku. Jonah feels the death of the GM pilot as another Zaku succeeds in its surprise attack and imbeds its heat hawk in the cockpit of the GM. Both Zakus then raise their machine guns and open fire on the G05. Jonah roars in rage and raises his shield to block the rounds coming at him. He then charges the lead Zaku while firing his gattling gun. The rounds from his weapon easily cut into the Zaku and as it falls the weapon runs out of rounds. Jonah drops the useless weapon and draws a beam saber and charges the last Zaku. Its pilot tries to bring down the charging gundam but only ends up damaging the gundam lightly. Jonah blasts past the Zeon mobile suit and slides his beam saber through it as he passes.
As Jonah stops his mobile suit the Zaku behind him explodes lighting another fire in the already burning forest. As Jonah breaths heavily from his exertions he remembers the feeling of the Zeon pilot dying in his mind and revels in it. Back on the White Knight Albert has everyone stand down from battle stations and orders helm to lower the ship to retrieve the G05 and what salvage they could find.
Outcome: Zeon Mobile suit team destroyed
Albert Cross: 1 day of damage, 90 exp, 200,000 credits
Jonah Manning: 1 day of damage, 110 exp, 200,000 credits, Zaku 120mm machine gun
Weapons Test on the Rocks
:Zachary finds himself sitting at the bottom of the ocean near an island. Around him he knows are other marine mobile suits. He readies himself to begin the test. He is here to test a new underwater engine. After seeing it being strapped to his mobile suit he isn’t impressed with it. The an icon on his screen goes green and he activates the engine. Zachary grunts as he is pushed in his seat as the mobile suit erupts upwards. He then turns his mobile suit onto a course that brings him around the island to an obstacle course but before he gets there his mobile suit begins to vibrate and alarms sound.
He quickly shuts off the engine and allows his mobile suit to gentle land on the sea floor. He then opens a channel to the techs letting them know that the engine has failed.
Outcome: Test failed.
