Daze: This spell attempts to daze an opponent. Benefit: Chance of automatic victory. Endure Elements: This spell allows the caster to better endure the outside elements for a period of time. Benefit: +5 to defense value against elemental damage. Grease: This spell coats an area or object so that it becomes extremely slippery. Benefit: -8 to enemies defense value. Obscuring Mist: This spell summons a slight fog that can obscure a small area. Benefit: +8 to defense value of all characters in battle. Sleep: This spell allows the caster to send a single person to sleep. Benefit: Puts target to sleep for one day. Silent Image: This spell creates an exact duplicate of the cast that can neither move nor speak. Benefit: +8 to defense value. Level 1 Non-Combat Spells Detect Magic: This spell allows the caster to determine if an object is enchanted. Benefit: Chance of identifying magical object Detect Poison: This spell allows the caster to detect poison. Benefit: Cure 2 days of poison. Level 1 Role-Play Spells Light: This spell creates an orb of light that hovers over the casters shoulder and follows the casters commands. Arcane Mark: This spell leaves the personal mark of the caster wherever he/she wishes. Mending: This spell allows the caster to mend clothing and basic items. Lock: This is the most basic level locking spell that any and every mage knows. Alarm: This spell allows the caster to set a ward over an area or object. When triggered the ward emits a high, magical wail. Feather Fall: This spell allows the caster to float like a feather from great heights. Erase: This spell allows the caster to erase any mark he/she has made with magic. Jump: This spell allows the caster to have a single amazingly high leap. Message: This spell allows the caster to transmit a simple message over a long distance. Level 2 Combat Spells Magic Missiles: This spell launches five darts of pure magical energy. Benefit: +12 to attack value Chill Touch: This spell causes an intense cold to spread out from the casters hand. Benefit: +10 Ice damage to attack value. Shocking Grasp: This spell allows the caster to unleash an electrical discharge with a touch. Benefit: +10 Lightning damage to attack value. Burning Hands: This spell allows the caster to unleash a five foot wide sheet of flame. The flame extends 6 feet out. Benefit: +10 Fire damage to attack value. Cause Fear: This spell projects images of whatever a person fears strait into their mind. Benefit: Chance of automatic victory. Protection from Arrows: This spell will absorb normal arrows for a short time. Benefit: +12 to defense value against ranged weapons. Glitterdust: This spell causes a glittering and irritating dust to erupt from the casters hands. Benefit: Causes blindness for one day. Firebolt: This spell unleashes a single searing bolt of fire. Benefit: +12 Fire damage to attack value. Acid Arrow: This spell launches a bolt of acid. Benefit: +12 to attack value. Chance of destroying armor or shield. Cold Spike: This spell hurls a spike of pure ice. Benefit: +12 Ice damage to attack value. Blur: This spell causes the casters image to become blurred. Benefit: +10 to defense value. Web: This spell launches a web like net at an opponent or an area. Benefit: -10 to enemy's defense value. Dispel Magic: This spell allows the caster to dispel other low level spells thrown at him. Benefit: Cancels one Level 1 spell. Breath of Flame: This allows the caster to spit fire with his next breath. Benefit: +10 Fire damage to attack value. Stinking Cloud: This creates a cloud of noxious vapors in a small area. Benefit: -8 to attack value of everyone in battle, excluding caster. Stream of Flame: This spell allows the caster to unleash a thin, but long and continuous flame. Benefit: +10 Fire damage to attack value. Hold Animal: This spell holds a natural animal immobile for a short time. Benefit: Cancels summoned beast Slow: This spell allows the caster to slow his/her opponents. Benefit: -15 to enemies defense value. Gust of Wind: This spell creates a small gust of wind that tosses back smaller animals. Benefit: +5 Wind damage to attack value against animals. Illusionary Terrain: This spell allows the caster to make a small area of the ground appear different than it is. Benefit: -10 to enemy's attack value. Major Image: This is the same as "silent image", but the illusion now has the same smell of the caster and can move at the casters command. Benefit: +12 to defense value. Displacement: This spell forces a physical attack to miss the caster. The spell last only for a single attack. Benefit: Cancels one physical skill targeting caster in combat. Ray of Frost: This spell unleashes a stream of intense cold at an opponent. Benefit: +12 Ice damage to attack value. Shield: This spell forms a magic shield about the caster that protects against minor spells and physical attacks. Benefit: +10 to defense value. Color Spray: This spell unleashes a dazzling display of color that will often disorient and blind a foe. Benefit: -8 to enemy's defense value. Increased chance of causing blindness for 3 days. Blind: This spell attempts to magically blind an opponent. It can be resisted by those of strong will. Benefit: Chance of causing blindness for 5 days. Level 2 Non-Combat Spells Identify: This spell allows the caster to learn about one or two magical properties some items may have. Benefit: Identify unknown item. Water Breathing: This spell allows the caster to breath water. Benefit: Removes one day's travel in water. Magic Circle: This spell allows the caster to create a circle of protection against magic. The spell is short lived and the caster cannot move from the area of protection or the spell is forfeit. Benefit: Caster cannot be attacked by magic as long as they do not leave their location on the map. Level 2 Role-Play Spells Change Appearance: This spell causes an illusion of someone else’s face to replace their own for a short time. Levitate: This spell allows the caster to float upward for a short time. Clairvoyance: This spell allows the caster to see far off places. Emotion: This spell causes a specific emotion in a target to surge forward. Which emotion it is cannot be decided by the caster. Knock: This spell attempts to open a door sealed by minor magic. Illusionary Wall: This spell creates a wall that looks real enough but anything can pass through it. Level 3 Combat Spells Fireball: This spell allows the caster to hurl a ball of flame that explodes on impact. Benefit: +20 Fire damage to attack value. Lightning Bolt: This spell hurls a single devastating bolt of lightning. Benefit: +20 Lightning damage to attack value Wall of Fire: This spell creates a wall of flame that is 5 feet high and 30 feet long. Benefit: +12 Fire damage to attack value, +10 to defense value. Wall of Ice: This spell creates a wall of ice that is 5 feet high and 30 feet long. Benefit: +12 Ice damage to attack value, +10 to defense value. Wall of Stone: This spell creates a wall of solid rock 5 feet high and 30 feet long. Benefit: +12 Earth damage to attack value, +10 to defense value. Solid Fog: This creates a fog that hampers vision and slows movement. Benefit: +15 to defense value of everyone in battle. Stone Skin: This spell creates layers of stone over the casters skin that protect from physical strikes. Every blow strips off one layer. Benefit: +15 to defense value. Mirror Image: This spell creates eight duplicate images of the caster. They move about the caster and gesture just as he does so that none can be sure of the real caster. Benefit: +18 to defense value. Sphere of Spell Protection: This spell creates a globe about the caster that protects from offensive spells. Benefit: Cancels one of enemies offensive spells. Cloudkill: This spell creates a fog over a small area that is pure poison. Benefit: Causes poison to everyone in battle for 3 days, excluding caster. Blink: This spell causes the caster to teleport to an area ten feet away. Benefit: Cancels one of enemy's offensive skills or spells. Cone of Cold: This spell unleashes a ever widening cone of freezing magical energy. Benefit: +20 Ice damage to attack value. Acid Fog: This spell creates a fog of acid that eats away at metal and flesh alike. Benefit: Additional one day's healing to all enemies in battle and chance of destroying one weapon or armor piece of all enemies in battle. Repulsion: Monsters and summoned creatures cannot approach you for a short time. Benefit: Cancels summoned beast or monster. True Seeing: This spell allows the caster to see all things as they really are. Benefit: Cancels illusions. Anti-Magic Field: This spell causes all magic to cease functioning within a ten foot radius. Benefit: Cancels all spells, including the caster's. Freezing Sphere: This spell explodes much like a fireball, but with ice instead of heat. Benefit: +20 Ice damage to attack value. Ring of Blades: This spell creates a spinning ring of blades that can be used to attack or defend. Benefit: +15 to attack value, +15 to defense value. Mislead: This spell turns the caster invisible for a short time and creates an illusionary duplicate. Benefit: +15 to defense value. Shout: This spell lets the caster unleash an ear splitting howl. Benefit: +15 to attack value. Stun: This spell allows the caster to stun an opponent for a short period of time. Benefit: -15 to enemies attack value. Incendiary Cloud: This spell creates a fog of fire and brimstone over a small area. Benefit: +10 Fire damage to attack value, +12 to defensive value. |
