| Goddess Keep Goddess Keep is the fortress that all Sunrunners go to be trained. In summer things become rather hot and in winter there is almost always a constant cloud cover and fog which are two things Sunrunners hate. All Sunrunners are ruled over by the Lord or Lady of Goddess Keep and in turn they are devoted to them. No one is foolish enough to assault the keep head on for an angry Sunrunner is a frightening thing. Though they are few they wield powers narrowly imagined. The keep itself is made of white stone and several white banners flutter in the breeze. Sunrunners of every level come and go as they go about their lives. |

| The History of the Sunrunners Only a decade before the Kinslayer wars the Sorcerers of the world discovered there were those out there that wielded a different kind of power. They were known as Sunrunners and at first the Sorcerers greeted them as equals and friends, but that soon changed. The more Sorcerers learned of Sunrunners the more fearful they became for they did not understand the way Sunrunners did what they did and the power they held. There was a brief struggle between the two groups and at the end of it the Sorcerers thought them completely destroyed. But they were not destroyed. Several of the most powerful Sunrunners managed to escape the Sorcerers onslaught and went into hiding. Now the Sunrunners have risen again and while they harbour no ill feelings for the Sorcerers of the world they are determined not to let the same things happen again. Sunrunners are able to do many things that Sorcerers cannot. The one for which they are most well known and from which their name comes is their ability to send messages over sunlight and moonlight as well as a host of other abilities. They do have one great weakness and that is iron. A Sunrunner pierced by iron cannot control his power for as long as the iron remains in him/her. However once it is removed those that oppose a Sunrunner had best be far away. Each Sunrunner has a set of colors that allow him/her to be recognized on the sunlight and ever Initiate is taught to know their own colors. Sunrunners are traditionally trained at Goddess Keep under the authority of the Lord or Lady of the Keep. At each stage of their training, they receive a ring betokening their abilities and rank, as follows. |
