Outclassed                       7-9-02

X stood patiently, the tall trees of the Sierras blanketing the suit in a
cool shade. The sun glared menacingly, the heat radiating throught the suit
and heating its armor to extreme levels. Rancor sat, having a hard time
breathing, his head pounding, his body at an uncomfortable temperature.

"Damn alttitude..." Rancor said, taking a deep breath and glancing at the
time. "Giving me a headache...oh well...I should attack soon..."

The X took a step forward, buster rifle gripped. It peered through the trees,
seeing ahead a small EF station, the Sierra Outpost. The X's eyes glimmered
in malice.

"Such a small base..." Rancor said, looking at the small, secluded station.
The trees had blown pine needles all around it, and the thin layer of
concrete around it was covered in dirt and pine needles.

X took another step, a tree falling and crunching with it's monstrous step.
It catiously walked forward, looking around for surrounding mobile suits.
"Must of been abandoned...but my sources say it's still used....must of
hacked the wrong database....or something..." X approached the base. Rancor
slowed his approach. He scanned the premisis. Nothing.

X stood. The sun glared on. Rancor's breathing grew hastier. "They have to be
here..." X lifted its' foot slightly, pineneedles falling off it, the
remainder of the crushed tree falling from the massive foot plate. The foot
landed back down. A squirrel jumped from a tree. Instinctivly, X turned and
opened fire.

The tree was destroyed, the tops of the others being singed and falling
inwards towards eachother. The dust picked up and swirled about X, pine and
bark floating around. X realized what he did, a large drop of sweat dropping
from his nose. His teeth were gritted, mouth open. "The secrets out..." Like
fate, everything fell apart.

Before X could look up, a massive shell landed beside it's foot, a large
pillar of dust and fire flying up. The X turned around, three more shells
whizzing past the X into the burnt forest behind it. The X began to run
forward, firing wildly with it's small buster rifle, the shots entered the
forest, but no sound of destruction was heard. "Damn this forest!" Rancor
yelled as another shell flew at it from behind. X turned around. Another
shell, this time making contact. The back left heel of the X was dented and
slipped forward. Like an overextended front kick, the X's foot lunged
forward, and the suit came crashing down, fire and dust claming the suit.
Another shell landed, barely missing the X's right arm. "SHIT!" Yelled Rancor
as he hastily tried to pick up his suit. Suddenly, it was stopped, and
slammed back down. Rancor looked up to see 3 ominous shapes atop him: Gundams.

The Gundams opened fire, ripping apart the chest of the pinned X. Fire and
metal flew around like confetti, and the X buckled violently as machine guns
tore it apart. The Gundams stopped firing at the chest, pointing their guns
at the head of the X. The sun glinted off their eyes. Rancor had enough.

A thin red beam flew up from that spot, easy to see for miles. One Gundam
crashed beside X, head still in hang. The X flung up, violently smashing its
elbow into the head of another Gundam. The Gundam staggered, firing. The
machine gun bullets rammed into the shoulder of the X, pieces of flakey metal
crumbling off the shoulder guard. The X lowered it's head and ran, beam sword
drawn. In a great streak a green, the Gundam fell back, cloven in two.

The X looked around. The shell-fire had stopped since the Gundams ambushed
him. Rancor began to think. "That it...?" He looked at the
wreckage..."Wait..." Two Gundam's lay, disabled. "There was three..."
Suddenly, there was a great boom, and the X flew forward in a firey blaze.
It's back erupted into wings of fire for an all-to brief time, then stopped
as the X plowed into the ground, it's satielite back falling down in charred
hunks. The X slowly turned around, coming face to face with a large artillery
cannon. The wielder was another Gundam. Rancor breathed deep.

The smell of pine gripped Rancors nose. He wearily opened his eyes, glancing
around. His arms were bruised. He checked his side, but his side arm was not
there. Rancor was in a cell, his head bleeding. "Where am I...?" The sun did
not shine through here.

X: Defeat, Captured, 3 days repair (+1, thus 4 days)

7-8-02
Sieg Zeon!

A dark cloud passed over the Canadian Border Outpost. Trees ruffled in the wind a little differently, the breeze felt sharper. The sun seemed duller and everything else more profound. Even the dirt felt dirtier, the grass grassier. The troops stationed in the base were uneasy. They seemed to know something dark was coming...something swift...something vengeful.

Five forms stood far outside the perimeter of the Outpost. One was ominous and huge, it's shape massive and intimidating. One was sleek, the sun shining off it's armor brightly. One was shaped strangely, a roman style headress atop it's head, a blue-silver eye gleaming with malicious intent. Another was red as fire, looking commanding and valiant in it's towering stance. Finally, the last was monstrous, two huge claws hanging from it's side. However diverse, they all had one thing in common: a golden Zeon insignia painted on thier left shoulder.

A raspy whisper was quickly being exchanged between the five mobile suits. "Orders are for the fastest to create a diversion. That's you Doran." Said Adon Sypher of the ominous Grand Zeon, the dawning sun glinting off it's great frame.

"Fine. Tallgeese can handle it." Doran said, his voice sounding a little inconsistant.

Adon paused for a moment, thinking about the mysterious Doran and his claims of being insane. Adon shook his head and addressed the remainder of the suits.

"We'll follow in after he draws their fire. Chrono will lead the charge, then Mance, then me. Vinsfield will bring up the rear with heavy support. Should be easy. The scouts report this base as being pretty average. Has some Guncannons, but they are to slow to hit Doran, and I think we can sustain enough of their fire long enough to get the job done. We ready?" Grand Zeon jestured oddly with it's hand.

Sazabi raised it's beam shotrifle up confidently. "Always."

Silhouette checked it's V.S.B.R., looked up at the sky then nodded.

Adon smiled. "Let's get this done then....Go ahead, Clough."

A roar was heard as Tallgeese's thruster doors opened then let a spew of blue flame out. It unhooked it's dober gun from it's shoulder hook and pointed it forward. With a cry and a blast, the Tallgeese was gone in blue glory.

The base seemed to rumble. Personal uneasily looked outside. It took them quite a while to realize what was happening, but they prepared quickly. Red sirens blared as the soldiers manned their stations. The mobile suit pilots, unexperianced but by no means new, hastily ran to their suits, unaware of the strength of the attack. Before anything was really resolved, the front line Beam Turrets were firing.

Tallgeese soared over the beam turrets, the beams flying up, missing the swift suit. The Tallgeese turned and fired a few shells from it's Dober gun, most going wide, none hitting. The Tallgeese redirected it's view, then zoomed straight up, a few beams passing through it's former place a few moments later. The Guncannons were running from the hangar, firing madly at the agile Tallgeese. The suit was forced to block a few with it's shield, but the other's missed due to it's quick maneuvering. Five GM customs suited up, armed with Machine guns and flight packs, and charged forward. Tallgeese had now drawn the fire of the entire base. A great shaking was felt, and below a blue beam echoed.

The base was quickly waxed over by an immense blue beam. Purple electricity surged around the great pillar, and the base trembled. Two beam turrets were overwhelmed and were destroyed helplessly. One GM was caught, it's frail form distorting then disintegrating. All others ceased fire to spot the form of this monster. The light dimmed, and the hulking FAZZ was the only there. Three Guncannons suddenly fell and exploded. The Zeon were in the base.

Sazabis stout form rushed forward, it's shotrifle firing as it went. The beams of the Guncannons fired, knicking the shoulders and funnel pods of the Sazabi. Mance hit the thursters and charged forward, clipping off the heads of a couple Guncannons then resting it's foot on the head of another. A GM rushed forward, but was abruptly stopped by the point of Sazabi's shield piercing through the GM's cockpit. Sazabi turned and fired, the purple beams spraying uncontrolably outward. One GM came running, beam saber drawn. Sazabi kept firing, one arm extended confidently. The shots missed, the GM charging forward unheedingly. Mance became annoyed. "F--- this!" Quickly the Sazabi drew it's beam saber, and effortless cleaved the GM in two. The fire raged around the Sazabi. Mance cracked his knucles.

The Silhouette raged amongst the beam cannons, it's rifle and beam saber tearing them apart close range. The suit quickly hacked through the deadly cannons, explosions occuring all around it. Pieces of metal were popping up and flying off in all directions, and large surges of beam and electricity surged upwards occasionally. The arms of the Silhouette became charred as it finished the last cannon. Suddenly, two huge purple beams rushed at the unwary Silhouette. The suit was rocketed backwards, a huge pillar of smoke billowing from it's shoulders. The suit plunged into the singed, crackling beam turret remains. A loud crunching sound was heard.

Grand Zeong rushed on, power and strength in all its moves. It grabbed a Guncannon, effortlessly ripping it in half with it's claws. It drew a beam saber, rushing at a attacking GM and ramming the saber in, leaving it to crackle and explode. Adon suddenly gasped as his suit rammed into the shattered concrete. Smoke and fire built up in its back as it slowly turned around, it's claws firing off in mad response. The violating Guncannon was fried and fell helplessly. The Grand Zeong slowly stood up, watching the last bit of carnage take place. Another blue beam screamed out, wiping out the last two offending mobile suits. FAZZ walked on, it's armor charred. Sazabi was standing, it's shotrifle discarded, it's shoulders charred. The Tallgeese's shiny white armor was now a soft, dirty black, and it's shield was cracked in half. The Silhouette was on one knee, it's entire suit dirty with soot and ash. Adon smiled, his eyes glazing over the firey wreck of the Canadian outpost. The sky shuddered.

"Well done...The Duchy has spoken...."
