Eye Color: Violet Hair Color: Brown Personality: Rhett is usually calm, but can get jittery and nervous when he suspects things aren't working out well. He likes having solid ground beneath his feet and always feels at least a little uneasy whenever he or his Zaku leave the ground. After the deaths of his first two subordinates, Rhett developed some doubts about his ability to lead. Successful engagements against the 42nd Brigade and at Malta have helped his attitude, though he constantly carries this fear. History: Rhett was born in the western part of Asia as the son of a well-known Geologist who specialized in assisting mines and an elementary school teacher. They lived happily there until Rhett's father lost his leg in a surveying accident, forcing him to take a desk job in a town fifty miles from where the family lived. The elder Paruta sank into a deep depression until a new opportunity arose for him: three weeks after the move, the Bardot Plan had placed economic pressure on the fledgling Colony Republic and they were secretly hiring experts to help them find new resource opportunities in space. Since their family had not yet settled into their new home yet, they made the move to Side 3 to start anew. Rhett's father was reinvigorated and soon became a key member of Side 3 geological society. Although he was happy to see his family doing so well, Rhett secretly yearned to return to their old homeland. The family lived well and without incident until shortly after the One Week War. Because of his familiarity with the region and his expertise in helping establish mines, Rhett's father was on one of the first ships sent to the Odessa base after the Terrestrial Assault Force captured it in early March of 0079. Rhett never heard from his father again after that, but no messages concerning his death had made it home. Holding out hope, Rhett volunteered to join the armed forces when the new recruiting drive came around. His excellent ground piloting combined with the nausea he felt every time he sortied in space led him inevitably back to Earth and to a better chance of finding out what happened to his father. After his subordinates were required to make a detour to Miami to escort civilian VIPs, Rhett acquired his first clue in finding out the fate of his father. Years of amateur rock collecting with his father helped tone Rhett's eye to notice details, which helped him test well in artillery training. She signed up for the army in order to get independence from her mother, who had continually tried to set her up on dates with her friends' sons, as her family had done for generations. Because of his family's wealth, he was allowed to indulge in we he perceived as chivalrous pursuits. He short height awarded him little of the respect he thought he deserved. When the war began, he enlisted in the Zeon military and used his family's connections to pilot one of the powerful Gouf mobile suits, a suit with which he proved incredibly adept, scoring several mobile suit and tanks kills during his assignment to patrol Central Asia's borders. "The Rainbow Pigeons"Rhett Paruta encountered this group of oddly colored Tin CODs while traveling through the southern part of Africa. Their allegiance is to themselves and the money they can make. After a brief encounter with Rhett Paruta and Cora Posada left them embarrassed by a combination of Rhett's shooting and Cora's flying, they swore to get even should they ever meet again. Their Tin CODs are custom modified for increased fuel capacity and efficiency at the cost of the missile hardpoints. He was born in space en route to the under-construction Lunar city of Von Braun, where his father was one of the architects in charge of developing residential zones for the future inhabitants. Arthur spent the first years of his childhood traveling from one Lunar settlement to another as they were planned as his father told him story after story of brave space explorers. Arthur had dreamed of being a real space explorer an accident occurred that led to the abandoning of a settlement named Artemis. After a supply ship crashed into the dome of the in-development city, killing several personnel involved in construction and developing the city, including some of the families of other members of the staff. While only twelve people died, Arthur's father fell into a coma for almost a year. Arthur realized then that space was a dangerous place to live; even well-constructed settlements like Von Braun could be destroyed in a heartbeat, his child's mind told him. While Arthur's father eventually recovered, he was never the same and the family moved to Earth, where Arthur's father took on less-ambitious jobs that kept the family comfortable. The accident that caused the Paruta family to return to Earth sparked Arthur's interest in studying the planet he wanted to live on. He studied at a university in the middle of Europe, eventually becoming one of the leading geologists of his day. He dedicated every one of his successes to his own father and gained much acclaim until the surveying accident that took his leg. In spite of his fear of living in the artificial settlements in space, he needed to think of the well-being of his family and accepted a position with the Side 3 government. When the military began making inquiries for civilian experts, Arthur eagerly signed up, seeing a chance to help return his family to the safety of Earth. While Arthur's duties officially, and primarily, consisted of genuine geological studies, the Schutzstaffel approached him to assist their efforts to spy in Federation territory. His work has forced him to cut all contact with his family, though he has kept some tabs on the career of his son, Rhett. |

After his divorce, Sean's therapist suggested getting a cat to help deal with the stress. As Sean's career as captain of the Berkhalter became more and more stressful, he got more and more cats to deal with it. He was given the nickname Sunny by how he acts when he's alone with his cats.  Model Number: MS-09K Code Name: Dom Cannon Nickname: Frostbite History: When the Shooting Star arrived at Odessa Base following the Second Battle of Malta, this new test unit was waiting for Rhett. A Dom modified to use back-mounted weaponry from a Zaku Cannon, it is one of a limited run of the units to test the arrangement's effectiveness. Upon seeing the colors, Cora Posada nicknamed it Frostbite after the cold places the 25th team and the Shooting Star had to travel through to receive it. |
