You dream about the Arab man again.
He's whispering in your ear.
"Dead men tell no tales. Live."
Suddenly, you are jostled awake. It is your doctor.
"¿Puedes oírme? Usted estaba teniendo un ataque en tu sueño. ¿Cómo se siente?"
You blink at him blankly.
"I'm good," you manage.
You sit up and throw your legs over the side of the bed, then stand up.
Legs?!
Perfectly attuned to your specifications, you are now the owner of a sword peg leg.
You celebrate your new upgrade by doing a lively peg leg jig.
The doctor claps, satisfied with his work.
"Mi amigo, ¿puedo salir ahora?"
You ponder.
This is also a chance for you to equip up. You may grab one of the following from the room.
Money pouch.
Blunderbuss.
Twin daggers, Gildas styled.

"If my leg is good, you're good to go." I hand him the money pouch, and take the blunderbuss. I already have a sharp weapon.

"If my leg is good, you're good to go."
You hand him the money pouch, and take the blunderbuss. You double tap your peg leg to get the Doc's attention.
He pockets the money pouch and heads for the door.
It is locked.
WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?

"Why is the door locked?"
He stares into your eyes with visible anger. "I don't fucking know."
"YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?" He grimaces. Looks like he let the cat out of the bag a little too soon. He raises his hands up in defensiveness.
"Okay, okay, calm down Mister Coulson. Yes, I speak English. Calm, calm. If you overexert yourself you'll faint."
You begin to pace back and forth. Tap step tap step tap step. "Keep talking." You're starting to get the hang of this leg thing.
"My name is Doctor Oppenheimer. I have lived in Cuba all my life. I am a specialist and a scientist. And I did not lie amigo, I am your doctor."
Well, this certainly changes a lot.
But the door is still locked.

"Stand back" I shoot the lock. If that doesn't work, I kick it. If that doesn't work, I start body-slamming it. If that doesn't work, I look for a window. If that doesn't work, I start calling for Anna. If that doesn't work, I start weeping inconsolably.

"Stand back"
You shoot the lock. The blunderbuss is loud, hurting your ears. The recoil and sound makes you lose your footing - but Doc catches you. The bullets have bounced off the door and fall to the ground.
What kind of wood is this? The bounce points shine with a silver glint.
Round 2. You take a few steps back, then charge with your peg leg. You bounce off painfully. The door feels like iron!
You look to the windows. They are barred. Nothing you have will get through those.
You shuffle back to the bed and sit down, peg leg awkwardly floating in the air.
"ANNA!" You yell. "ANNAAAAA!" The doctor joins you. Both of you yell. "ANNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Nothing.
You begin to cry. You hide your face in your hands.
"I have an idea..." the doctor muses. "But I'll need your blunderbuss."
He picks up the cutlass and puts it in his belt. You already shot your gun, so what Doc is up to you have no idea.

I keep what I judge to be a safe distance from the doctor and his shenanigans.

You keep what you judge to be a safe distance from the doctor and his shenanigans.
He takes the heavy gun and slings it over his shoulder.
Approaches the door.
Grabs the knob..
And turns it.
It opens!
You have discovered a broom closet.
There is a coin, a note, and one set of rich man clothes. It appears to be your Dutch Captain's Regalia, mended after your bout with the shark.
There are two more unopened doors in this room.

I take the coin, don the garb, read the note, and proceed to the next door.

You take the coin, don the garb, read the note, and proceed to the next door.
You pocket the coin. There are actually two! A british sovereign and a spanish dubloon.
Doc watches you undress a little too closely. Might have to watch out for that one. You are once again dressed like a rich Dutch taffy captain. You find a taffy in your pocket. Taffy doesn't age.. does it? [+1 Taffy]
The note reads "Here Lies the Archangel." It was next to the coins.
You proceed to the next door. Papers come tumbling out.
They look like blueprints. Doc picks one up.
"The submersible man. Giovanni Alfonso Borelli. 1670. Does this mean anything to you, Mister Coulson?"
There is a diagram of a man in a suit of armor. The head is strangely rounded.

"That's not armor. Those are plans for a suit that allows a man to breathe underwater!" I close my eyes, imagining the wrecks I could plunder, if I could build and operate a suit like that.

"That's not armor. Those are plans for a suit that allows a man to breathe underwater!"
The doctor looks at you. Then back to the blueprints.
"Mister Coulson, were I not looking at these papers, I would call you insane. But, if we found a blacksmith and had enough metals..." he looks up and down. "I could build this. I always had a dream I would change the world!"
Herp a derp.
You close my eyes, imagining the wrecks I could plunder, if you could build and operate a suit like that. Building is one step, operating is another.
The doctor gathers the blueprints and puts them into a satchel in the same closet, slinging that over his shoulder.
There is one remaining door. If there's a way in...
