Name: Haifa Hahnemuehle
Sex: Female
Age: 24
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Hazel
Height: 183cm
Appearance:
Distinctly Caucasian looking, Haifa mostly inherited her soft facial features from her mother, while the few well defined parts are attributed to her Jordanian father. Her impressive height, however, surprised both her parents and brother since she ended up being the tallest of the entire family.
Like most other military personnel, Haifa wears the standard military attire whenever applicable. Flight suit when piloting, and olive green fatigues any other time. Her hair is normally tied up into a bun and a few bobby pins keeps everything in place.
Personality:
With little traumatic experiences to embitter the Kintzem native, the Kintzem native is more or less found agreeable to most. Her mother's subservient tendencies are nicely tempered by her father's stubbornness, so she is eager to help while at the same time standing up for herself when necessary. If anything, the only quirk about her is that she is prone to bouts of boredom rather easily, though she isn't particularly fond of using combat to cure it.
History:
The daughter of German mother and Jordanian father, Haifa's name represents the efforts of her father to integrate into northern European society after fleeing a troubled middle east. Both her parents and older brother eventually emigrated to the colony of Kintzem where they would have the girl. Haifa's mother, Elsa, indoctrinated her on the virtues of being a good housewife and as a result taught the girl a range of useful skills around the house, though the importance of a good education was never too far around the corner. As a result, Haifa eventually made her way into graduate school studying chemistry. Not even a full year into her master's program, though, the soon-to-be pilot withdrew from her school and enlisted in the ZMF, unwilling to see through at least two additional years of academia unless she had a break of sorts.
Possessing very little applicable technical skills, and not even having ever driven a vehicle (preferring to use public transit or moving under her own power), Haifa managed to get assigned to a construction unit that operated the civilian construction pods so ubiquitously used throughout the Earth sphere. Again, like learning the alphabet, Haifa learned through a mixture of trial and error and a liberal amount of tips and coaching from the more experienced workers in the unit, but she eventually became proficient at operating and maneuvering the pod within half a year.
So when ZMF's training division came down to offer reassignments, Haifa appeared, at least on paper, about as well qualified as a vast majority of her colleagues. The one leg up she had on others, however, was that her older brother served in one of the training squadrons, so it didn't come as much of a surprise when she was one of the few selected to be a pilot in one of the aggressor squadrons operating the Earth Federation Ball units.
This was, of course, prior to the appearance of the Federation's own mobile suits, but by then Haifa demonstrated just enough aptitude and plenty of good merits that moving up to piloting GM E's proved doable; her brother's position certainly didn't hurt her chances either. And for four months she worked with other pilots of the 202nd Aggressor Squadron to train new pilots against the tactics and equipment of their likely adversaries.
