Zeon Space thread 12/24 Operation PINBALL Situation: The Ohm Fleet is no longer held in check by Bomer fleet. The Ohm Fleet can now attempt to blockade the ZMF Resupply Fleet on its journey between Odessa and Side 3. The Ohm Fleet also presents a threat to the ZEF whenever the fleet has to leave +2DE. Solution and Primary Objective: Assist the ZMF Resupply Fleet in destroying the Ohm Fleet by joining the ZMF Resupply Fleet when it is in +2DE and going on Overwatch. By being tenants we can give the ZMF the initative in the battle and lets use our most powerful asset: Johnny Ridden. Secondary Objective: Destroy Blex Fleet. This will free up the Dren Fleet to blockade +2DE, essentially reversing roles but without the grieving losses. The best way to determine the amount of firepower needed to overcome the enemy fleet is to have more firepower than the allied fleet keeping the enemy fleet in check. The Disco Fleet failed because it did not have quite the firepower of the four Magellans that are in the Ohm Fleet. Note: In event that the reformed 1st Independent Disco Fleet arrived at the same day of our Blex Fleet attack, we will attack the Disco Fleet instead. They have considerable less firepower than even the weak Blex Fleet. Tertiary Objective: Attack and destroy the EFSF Resupply Fleet. This has two benefits as to deprive the Federal Forces of Side RP and to give us some RP credit. As great as this is however, it is not as important as destroying the Ohm Fleet with the ZMF Resupply Fleet’s help or destroying the Blex/Disco Fleet. Operational Procedure: Week 8, Day 31 (Beginning of the Day)ZMF Resupply Fleet is at +0DE EFSF Resupply Fleet is at +1DE 1st Experimental Disco Fleet MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be at +2DE ZEF is at +2DE and attacks Blex Fleet or Disco Fleet or goes on Overwatch Week 8, Day 31 (End of the Day)/Week 8, Day 32 (Beginning of the day)ZMF Resupply Fleet is at +1DE EFSF Resupply Fleet is at +2DE 1st Experimental Disco Fleet might still be at +2DE ZEF attacks Disco Fleet a 2nd Time, or attacks Blex Fleet, or attacks Disco Fleet, or attacks EFSF Resupply Fleet, or goes on Overwatch Week 8, Day 32 (End of the Day)/Week 9, Day 33 (Beginning of the Day) ZMF Resupply Fleet is at +2DE EFSF Resupply Fleet or Remnants resupplies +2DE Federal fleets 1st Experimental Disco Fleet might still be at +2DE ZEF boards ZMF Resupply Fleet and goes on Overwatch. Zeon players go on Overwatch as well. Week 9, Day 33 (End of the Day)[/u] ZMF Resupply Fleet is moving into +3DE EFSF Ohm Fleet attacks ZMF Resupply Fleet in Blockade Action ZEF assists ZMF Resupply Fleet in battle against the Ohm Fleet. Overwatch gives Zeon fleets the initiative, hopefully destroying Ohm Fleet. Week 9, Day 34 (Beginning of the Day) [/u] ZMF Resupply Fleet is in +3DE ZEF returns to space fortress “401(K)” for repairs and to purchase more ships. Operation PINBALL concludes If the operation is successful, we will see three Federal fleets destroyed or in shambles, ourselves much richer, and the 1st Disco Fleet now having to deal with a Zeon Fleet blockade +2DE. -2nd Lieutenant Wu Jinyuan Mobile Assault Force Commander of the “Zeon Expeditionary Force” Flagship: Monarch-Ensign Richard Banks Space Assault Force[/quote] And of course, depending on how we fare in the FFA, we may or may not have additional firepower to do this. But we will need to get your VP up to a good level, Kuri, as you're capable of putting a ton of hurt on the EFSF from a good distance. This should also free up Ravage for a more offensive role if need be. Diagram uploaded. I agree. I think Kuri of more of a chaos-trigger and Ravage as a "ship-eatter." For lols, Jim's bit on this from IRC (mine doesn't save chat logs): Tell me where I need to be. Kuriboh, I just need you on the ZEF. Everyone needs to be on the ZEF for that matter. You'll join up with us on Week 8 Day 30 after you arrive in +3DE on Week 8 Day 29. So the fun begins immediately after you're with us. Chan please blow up my former ship. I hate that it lives. It's still there? I would've thought that since it was a PC ship it would've gone away... Oh well. A L5 Salamis Kai is still a Salamis Kai. I dunno why its still there. But it must die. Okay everyone! We barely got scratched by Latooni/Blackmage/Altoh's hijinks. The Zeon Expeditionary Force will be moving back to +3DE tomorrow after buying a pair of matching Jiccos. From there, ZEF will commence Operation Pinball. To everyone who IS NOT CURRENTLY ON THE ZEON EXPEDITIONARY FORCE, send in a movement action to board it! We need everyone for this. SAF:Caleb DeGrau - 170 RP Richard Banks - 490 RP MAF:Chris Burnett - 25 RP Florian Cuyler - 145 RP Wu Jinyuan - 1298 RP (Pending 100 RP from Roster Error) Yoritomo Naizen - 50 RP SS:Laredo Veil - 390 RP Total: 2568 RP (2668 RP) Had nothing better to do while waiting for 2010. Just in case an error occurs during Ket's update tomorrow. Alright guys, Since the the feddies joined up with the Ohm Fleet, we're gonna link up with the supply fleet and hopefully catch the attention the blockading fleet. If all goes to plan our dear friend, Johnny Ridden, should bail us out of this mess. Somewhow even after all this we are moving perfectly with this Operation. Weird, right? Today is a weekend update so we get paid and tomorrow picks up with new actions. The rest wasn't releveant so I stoped quoting

Zeon Space Officer threads and space related matters. From various threads.Hello fellow officers, I know there is a more elaborate thread on this in the regular Zeon side board but it's massive and may be lost in the clutter. This list is so that ground officers and other officers in space can better coordinate their time tables and better position their units. Week 1 to 3: Consolidate Resource foundation to fund offensive operations. Space Zeon players will also assault +2DE in between construction. Week 4 to 6: Invade Side 5 and setup forward base in form of Asteroid Fortress and supporting mines. Week 7 to 11: Attacks on fleets at +2DE, whether they are EFSF PCs, Resupply, or the Defense Fleets. Week 12: Invade and lay siege to Green Noah & Green Oasis. Week 16: After cornering the EFSF players in Luna II, provide orbital support to the Odessa garrison. I have confidence in our every success. Well, what I believe we should do in the long one is to first eliminate all of the Federal +2DE fleet. This would a) give us more protection against incursions into +3DE where our mines are and b) give us protection against the EFSF coming into Side 5 which I am going to designate our repair and restock area. Wyatt really annoyed the Zeon space force last time by constantly being in their way whenever they leave or enter +2DE. The same effect applies to the Supply Fleets. In fact, if we time our fleet assault with a NPC fleet blockade action, we can decimate the EFSF Resupply Fleet. Once we are done with +2DE, it's onwards to Side 7. The successful siege of Green Noah & Green Oasis will spell the end of the EFSF as an offensive unit. Freeing up the Zeon fleets at +2DE first will free us from worrying about the EFSF backdooring Side 5 while we are focused on Side 7. Of course, we'll take a special trip to Side 7 in order to block the (anticipated) Zephyr Phantom Event. Right now my current worries is what are the immediate intentions of the 1st Experimental Disco Fleet. They're located at +0DE after grouping with the Pegaus II Kira Yamato. The GMs in the Fed arsenal don't have beam guns yet. I strongly but not completely sure that they're going to drop into Luna II for repairs on the Shinji Ikari. If they do, this gives us 2-to-3 days reprieve. If not, it's race to +2DE and Side 5. Overlord construction officially ends THIS TUESDAY. That means Overlords 1 to 12 will be pumping RP into the Space Force. Well, only Overlords 1 to 9 will be at 150%. The Side 5 Overolords are running at 100% until I build the space fortress at Side 5. But if it comes down to combat with the EFSF before our Gwazine on Week 7, they have three fighting ships to our two. But our ships are faster and we have more MS. The style I'm going for is keeping the Erinyes in front of the Lucifer's Fury in a battle line so we can broadside the EFSF. I'm not sure how to keep the Pazock out of this. High Command, It has come to my attention that the Earth Federation is attempting to recruit rogues for the purposes of scouting Axis. We have made contact with these rogues, and have reached a financial agreement that will result in the individuals in question supplying a falsified report to the Federation with regards to Axis. Therefore, I would like to request that Axis lower its defenses temporarily and cease detainment of rogues in the area so as to not alert the Federation to our plot. I will take personal responsibility from any resulting negative consequences of this operation. Alot of this came from Frenzy's idea but I think it's a good time to start planning this. The idea is that I would add the dummy balloons to the big Minovsky Particle storm around my ship and the Pazock. It will also help out the Pazock if random fire heads in its direction. Good thing PC ships with missile launchers have dummy balloon missiles. After our first battle with the Zeon Expeditionary Fleet Okay, so we fought our first battle against the EFSF and things didn't turn out so great despite our "industrial" advantage. What do you think we did wrong and how do we learn from it? For starters, we were outnumbered in terms of ships and those Saberfish are damn more effective than they were last time. We needed more AA coverage, so MIRV missiles might've helped. But we really only got screwed by the balloons, so once we get a NT to point them out, we should be fine. Concerning Side 5 and Texas Colony before we captured it I just realize something: The EFSF could be following my old spreadsheet that I posted on the Open Discussion board (http://oywrpg4.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=5spam&action=display&thread=2142) Put it this way, they headed for Texas Colony for a reason. They strip-mined Pylon 2 for a reason. Blackmage did say in the chat that he was studying how I organize the spreadsheet. Plus they are going to use their 2,197 RP for something. It is very likely that they are going to repair Texas Colony, fortify it, then mine up Side 5. The problem is, things are different now from last time when I planned to do it: 1) I had 3 mines 2) each mine produced 160 base, so 240 on Friendly 3) repairing Texas only cost 500 RP back then, not 800 RP now If they waste their money making Side 5 EF, then that is less money for them to use to hold it. They could afford a Magellan instead but that remains to be seem. I don't think the EFSF are big on donating collectively to one cause. Most of their purchases have been small ships and units. Before our battle with the Gwazine Since we unfortunately can't get the Erinyes fixed back up to a full Musai, we pretty much need that Gwazine. Hopefully we can get some donations from the ground folks if they have any to spare, as despite losing Manila, they're still in better shape than we are up here. It's also something we need to keep in note should we buy other Musais...but we need to get a move on somewhat quickly. I suspect they'll be moving on the Bomer Fleet if the attack made by Latooni is any indication. This is only a prediction on my part, however. Now all we need to do is deal with the PC that made it past Dozle and to reinforce our fleet... If my calculations are correctly, after we pool our money next Monday we should have 5,082 RP. That's enough for one Gwazine. Then by the time it joins up with the ZEF (it'll have to spawn at the space fortress "401(K)"), we'll have our salaries and can then stock it with a level 3 NT and Zaku II HMTs/Rick Doms. Following after that, we can purchase a Chivvay with Rick Doms followed by a stream of Musais with Rick Doms. I anticipate us doing a battle once we get the Gwazine, giving us one week to save up some RP for a Chivvay. Looks good to me. Obviously, we'll have to keep the Gwazine well-guarded until we can get that better captain. Even if it's a Gwazine, a L1 captain still needs guarding. And what levels should the captains of the other ships be? Ideally, we should try buying them at L2, but L1 will do in a pinch. And of course, we need to keep an eye on the Disco Dorks so we don't wind up with an unpleasant surprise/situation to deal with. In a topic concerning the Ohm Fleet after it was freed up If we need to break through to Side 7, we can just have Kuriboh's PTT do an "all-range attack" on the Ohm Fleet as we move through. The damage to her suit will protect her from attack and she can just hop onto the ZMF Resupply Fleet. As for directly attacking the Ohm Fleet, we can have Kuriboh do an "all-range attack" while we do our direct attack. The Tivvay will charge the Ohm Fleet with all of the Mobile Suits (27 Zaku II HMTs) on the attack. The Tivvay and Zaku II Es will spot for the Gwazine's heavy guns while Jim and Ravage use the Braw Bro to kill ships.

This is a copy of KITP. I copied posts I thought were releveant as usal. bxmc.poly.edu/~eltonkwok/images/operationkitpsmall.pngPlease see the attached image. It was too wide for easy viewing, so I post the link instead. Each green line represents one day’s worth of travel. The map will be updated constantly to show position of space units. Operation “KNEE IN THE PACKAGE”The objective of this Operation is to form the proper economic foundation to supply a full offensive operation into +2DE space. The location of all player units in space on Day 1 is as follows: EFSF:Floppy Lion, Salamis-class (Daren): +2DE GM (Blackmage): +2DE GM-E (Radune): +2DE GM-E (Altoh): +2DE RX-78-1 (Swoz): Green Noah GM Juggler (Latooni): Green Noah Zeon:Erinyes, Musai-class (Chan): +2DE Rick Dom (Brittany): +2DE Rick Dom (Frenzy): +2DE Zaku II E (Arcaille): +2DE Dom PPT (Kuriboh): Granada Zaku II MT (MING): Granada Prototype Gelgoog (Isaiah): Granada Zaku I MPSET (pinksoyuz): Solomon RoguesCrater Trejour, FTC (jon): Von Braun City Workhorse, FTC (faultylogic): Von Braun City The operation consists of three phases. Phase One is an preemptive assault on the EFSF on Day 1 then everyone head to their respective destination at either Side 2, 4, or L3. At the same time, Kuriboh will head to Side 2. Since it takes her one extra day to reach either Side 2, 4, or L3 than the people at +2DE, traveling by this schedule allows us all to arrive at the same time. For the ambush on Day 1, all Zeon forces at +2DE will assault Daren’s Salamis-class ship. Arcaille will be purchasing a SS Panzergrenadier team to help us in this endeavor. Why? For I want to capture Daren’s ship if possible. We will let him escape in his Salamis Reentry Capsule. The assault plan will be posted in a separate thread. Phase 2 is fairly simple; everyone will pool their money to construct mines. Due to the new rules on ownership, we cannot shift ownership unless we die, everyone will be building two or three mines apiece, and transferring RP to each other. Here are the perspective construction teams now: Side 2: Kuriboh and Arcaille Side 4: Frenzy and Brittany L3: Chan This allows the mobile suit players to duel each other in the intervals where we do not have RP to build all of the mines we want. In the end, we will have built the following: L3: Asteroid Fortress with a Mine attachment, Asteroid Mines x3 Side 2: Asteroid Mines x3 Side 4: Asteroid Mines x3 Upon completion of Phase 2, we will purchase ships and NPC mobile suits. The fleet will join together at +3DE space. Once we are all in the same fleet, we will commence the next phase of the operation. Phase 3 is to strike deep into Side 5 and establish a forward base of operations. This shortens the traveling time needed to repair our fleet in case of battle damage. Our forward base of operations includes: Side 5: Asteroid Fortress with a Mine attachment, Asteroid Mines x3 This will turn Side 5 into Zeon territory (the same thing will happen to L3) which will prevent the use of EFSF services if they attack us. The Fortresses also produces 120 RP each for a grand total of 240 RP which is even more due to the 1.5x friendly territory rule. This is about 3 times as much RP as one Asteroid Mine will give us. From there, we will strike at +2DE at either one of the EFSF defense fleets, Resupply Fleet, or the EFSF PC fleet. Below are two tables. The first of which is an approximate budget for the first eight weeks of the game. This takes into assumption that no one wins any cash prizes or we don’t raid the Resupply Fleet at an opportune moment. The second table is a day by day action layout for those who volunteered to be under my personal command. This is as accurate as I can forecast to accomplish the operation as quickly as possible. Delays such as rogues attacking the mines or missed actions will greatly offset the schedule. Budget Schedule | | Week | # of Mines | Build Mines | Cost of Mines | Income (1.0) | Income(1.5) | Budget (Monday) | Loan | Collective Budget (Thurs) | | 1 | 0 | 3 | 1050 | 0 | 0 | 650 | 1350 | 178 | Build Space Station at L3 and one unit of Panzergrenadiers | | 2 | 3 | 2 | 700 | 240 | 360 | 988 | 550 | 193 | | 3 | 5 | 5 | 1750 | 400 | 600 | 1243 | 550 | 298 | | 4 | 10 | 0 | 0 | 800 | 1200 | 1948 | 550 | 528 | Buy Musai, 2 Jiccos, and Zaku II Fs | | 5 | 10 | 1 | 350 | 800 | 1200 | 2178 | 550 | 1313 | Asteroid Fortress construction at Side 5 | | 6 | 11 | 3 | 1050 | 880 | 1320 | 3083 | 550 | 1393 | Musai and Zaku II Complement | | 7 | 14 | 0 | 0 | 1120 | 1680 | 3523 | 550 | 4508 | | 8 | 14 | 0 | 0 | 1120 | 1680 | 6638 | 550 | 1023 | Gwazine and Zaku II complement |

If you have any opinions or criticisms or if more of you would like to contribute to this cause, I will be grateful to hear them. -Wu Jinyuan “ Erinyes”, Musai-class Or some High Mobility Zakus mixed in for good measure. They're pricier, but the extra performance should be worth it. Especially since they have a Gundam, and there's no guarantee that he'll go to Earth like what happened last run. It's also worth keeping in mind that we should also purchase defenses for the mines, as once this kicks into high gear, we won't be able to defend them all without having to ignore the EFSF. We should plan for the worst as well just in case things go badly for us at some juncture, as complex plans have a way of having all kinds of wrenches thrown in the gears. Money permitting, we should perhaps use your previous tactic of occasionally splitting into two fleets. While it reduces the individual fleet's overall offensive abilities, it would force them to either split their attention and forces to tackle both, or concentrate on one at a time, allowing the ignored force to either hit them while they're distracted or go after a target defended only by NPCs. We should also keep an eye on our supply fleet. If things look too dicey, taking cover in the Space Supply Fleet might give us some breathing room. After all, anyone who was here last time will remember that Ridden is quite capable of taking on just about any PC that crosses his path. Might not kill them outright, but he could sure give them one hell of a beating. Obviously we shouldn't rely on this, but it is an option. And finally, well, this doesn't take into account unpredictable things like promotions for any reason (contest prizes, hard work, so on and so forth) prize ships much for the same, and cash prizes for...well, the same reasons.

ZGMF - Week 10 OverviewOkay, here are my thoughts on what should go down this week. First and foremost, I would like to show what we are working with as far as the 9th Combined Operations Fleet goes. BreakdownMobile Suits - 19 Mobile Armors - 1 Infantry - 11 Ground Support - 19 Aircraft - 23 Ships - 6 9 PCs in this fleet - impressive. I think we've assembled a pretty powerful force that is capable of even confronting the EF's 87th Fleet (although that probably won't happen for a while; more on that later). The break-in to South America went perfectly. The fleet took little or no damage, and three patrol units were wiped out. Nom nom nom. ^_^ It would appear, based on intel gleaned from the EF board, that our counterparts did not anticipate this move. So far they are not united on a course of action, although it has been proposed that this action spur them to assaults against either Vladivostok, Archangelisk, or both. Although it is possible that they may make a show of force to move against the 9th Fleet, I think it's unlikely. They would have to wait one day to transfer enough RP to be a serious threat, and only a few personnel are in a position to do something immediately. Here are the forces we might have to deal with, listed by descending order based on how close they are to attacking us / how much warning we will have before they arrive in South America: *Please note the Rosters haven't been updated yet, so I may have to update this based on that. Instant Attack (South America) - Hirsch Munchek [Waterproof Gundam: 1x lvl5 GM Diver, 1x lvl3 GM Aqua] (South America) Instant Attack (Paradrop) - Jim Irwin [Tin Cod: 3x lvl2 Tin Cod ] (Pacific Ocean) - Charles Gano [Guncannon HDT: 2x Don Escargot, 1x lvl2 Type 74] (Atlantic or Pacific Ocean) - Scott Archer [Core Booster] (Jaburo) - Chicken Little [lvl6/6 Medea Revised: Nigel Ferdinand] - Lludd [lvl2 Medea: Aurem Senaiha, Jarvis Ackart, Thorvald Siggurdson] 1 Day Away - Suzaku Selffaw [GMPGT: 1x lvl2 GMPGT] (West Arctic) - Bigby Wolfe [GM Desert Type] (West Arctic) - Jack Murphy [Guntank MPT] (West Arctic) - Aaron McCaskey [GM Land Combat Type] (Europe) - 87th Integrated Fleet [Cray Vermillion, Edmund Blackadder, Zanzen Hosei, (West Arctic) 2 Days Away - Jay Tessa [GMPGT: 1x lvl2 Marines] (East Arctic) I am sure I will have to update this at least once to reflect the most recent Roster when it is finally ready. Still, as you can see, the majority of their forces are tied up in the West Arctic and the 87th Fleet, which are both far enough away that we can evacuate the 9th if we have to because we will be able to see them coming in time. I think we have a good shot at taking out one entire Resupply Fleet, and possibly both of them. However, I am unsure of how well Archangelisk will hold up to a sudden assault. Should they choose to send the 87th to Europe at the beginning of Week 10, the base will require immediate assistance, for obvious reasons: The base is woefully undefended. It is my intention, unless convinced otherwise, to take Ender's new character and my own, and scoot across the Atlantic ASAP on a Gallop to Europe to assist in Archangelisk's defense until more reinforcements can be gathered. However, until I am able to do so (and I have received permission from Chris), I am going to ask Apsalus II to descend from orbit to Archangelisk on Monday, to facilitate a RP transfer to him. Basically I want him to buy some anti-siege stuff with money that we give him, and gtfo back to orbit to continue with the SS fleet plans. What do you guys think about this? Please let me know ^.^ For now, here is what I would like to happen on our end next week, listed day-to-day: Week 10 Day 1 - January 18th, 2010 - RP transfers to Xaviar Brennan and Yuji Takeshi. - Ando Shoji moves to California Base to prepare for a spar with Ender's new pilot, Alec Irusk (I need to shake off the "Getting used to new juice." - 9th Combined Operations Fleet attacks EFGF 1st Resupply Fleet (Matilda). Objectives are to kill / capture Matilda, and destroy all supply ships. - Yuji Takeshi drops from orbit to Europe, receives RP. Week 10 Day 2 - January 19th, 2010 - Ando Shoji purchases Gallop, spars Alec Irusk. - 9th Combined Operations Fleet attacks EFGF 2nd Resupply Fleet (Woody). Objectives are to kill / capture Woody, and destroy all supply ships. - Yuji Takeshi moves to Europe. Week 10 Day 3 - January 20th, 2010 - Ando Shoji, Alec Irusk, and Gallop move to North America. - 9th Combined Operations Fleet moves to North America. - Yuji Takeshi purchases defenses, moves to Europe. Week 10 Day 4 - January 21st, 2010 - Ando Shoji, Alec Irusk, Gallop move to Atlantic, supported by services. - 9th Combined Operations fleet repairs in North America, using Samsons. - Yuji Takeshi moves to Central Asia. Obviously, the timeline is a work in progress. I plan on adding SS objectives to this timeline or another one to give everybody the total picture of what the ground campaign looks like. Since Chris doesn't have a computer at the moment, he said he will be posting plans on Fridays mostly. And yeah, I realize that the parts involving myself, Ender, and Cloud are sketchy, the latter I just noticed because of how long it will take him to get to Archangelisk and get back. I'm very open to alternative ideas, I just really don't want Archangelisk to fall before we have a chance to defend it, if they do choose to go there. Man now that I think about it I'm not sure I like that part at all, but I'm going to post this anyway and edit later once I figure out what I DO like. Until then, your thoughts? Woot. Nice post Matthew. Good to see some activity on the officers forum. I hope to be back to a semi-active state the weekend after next. I'll know my school schedule then, and will have settled down into a new semester. Until then, I'll be content just to make a couple quick notes. Regarding South America... - Lorelay and Baekhesten could attack Chicken Little and Splizzun (you have it confused with Llud above) on Monday. Risky, given the SS fleet's damaged status, but it'd turn any paradrop attempt into a move -- regardless of victory or defeat. - Federation PCs could buy Medeas on Monday and instantly paradrop us, if they're a day away or less, and have 270 or more RP. Medeas themselves aren't too worrisome, but if they're ferrying in healthy PCs... - How impossible would it be to divide up the 9th Combined and attack both Woody and Matilda on Monday? If Liger stayed, Dragon and Stilva could each helm respective sub-fleets. Destroy Woody and Matilda Monday, and then jump back up into North America Tuesday. - Might be fudging the numbers here a bit, but we could get an extra 9 x Dopps if we have Persephone, Noelle and Rhett move to SA Monday and leave their MS teams. They could purchase 3 x Dopps each (more or less, depending on their RP) and attack separately of our two sub-fleets. Regarding Achangelisk... - If we do have Yuji purchase defenses for Achangelisk, I suggest we purchase a ship + MS + fighters. That way, if no attack does take place against Archangelisk, we can always utilize the ship at Belfast. Ships are as good or better than defenses, and they can move. - Judging from past runs, how effective do we consider Apsalus II? Aleksei seemed pretty fearful of its capabilities, in a recent post on the EF forums. If it can go into orbit, drop onto New Amsterdam, and destroy it in a single shot -- why not send Yuji after that base while the rest of the TAF is in SA? That means we can hightail it over to Europe post-haste, and descend on the Federation fleet if it does move to Archangelisk. All I got for now, since I'm not more involved with the game at the moment. Like I said, hoping to settle into a normal routine here sooner or later. Good luck with whatever you all decide. Woot. Nice post Matthew. Good to see some activity on the officers forum. I hope to be back to a semi-active state the weekend after next. I'll know my school schedule then, and will have settled down into a new semester. Until then, I'll be content just to make a couple quick notes. Gonna try to address each point line-by-line, because they are good observations and they deserve as much. - I think the best thing for the U-boats to do at the moment is retreat. They stand to be in position to attack Des both Monday and Tuesday, which I think Chris has said is what he wants to do immediately. Additionally, there was chatter on the EF board about possibly paradropping the ships to finish them off, and although they missed one deadline that option may still be on the table. - You bring up a great point, and that risk is primarily why I am unwilling to split the fleet up as you described in the following idea. I need to update my first post with regards to what might attack us, but I still believe that based on the forces they probably have available for Monday, our fleet should be more than capable of fighting them off if it remains combined. - Draco and Dan actually bought up the point in chat, and in principle I do like it. However, in my opinion, even with being able to attack both fleets at once we will not gain efficiency. As far as air forces go, we only have the two Gaws and around 14 x Dopp and 7 x Gunship Helis to work with. Each Resupply Fleet has one lead Medea, and 4 convoy-style Medeas, and something around 10-12 Tin Cods. As far as I know, Medeas can outrun Gaws, so we are mostly relying on our few Dodai-equipped MS (sloppy planning on my part, sorry) and our air forces to destroy the Resupply Fleets, with the ground forces acting as escort / support. I am not sure that our air forces, split in half, will be able to completely destroy both resupply fleets at once. While that option would offer us the chance to take shots at both, and retreat back to NA if we had to, I don't believe that will be necessary because I don't think the EFGF has the means to confront us head-on until at least Wednesday. Still, this option could be further explored based on other things, including your next thought! - Having our PCs disembark and buy more Dopps could be an interesting use of game mechanics, and might be worth investigating. We need to make sure the rules allow the players to get their MS teams back afterwards, and I'm paranoid it could make us slightly weaker if we did happen to be ambushed, but those are the only problems I see with it at the moment. I'd love to talk more about this when we have more information. About Archangelisk... - Your point about the ship is good. I had mostly wanted to buy Xamels and stuff like that, but being able to make an investment we could use later seems like a great idea. - I have very conflicted feelings on the Apsalus II. My best friend is the one who's playing the thing, and he really doesn't seem to care about roleplaying his character or contributing very much independently to the game besides following our orders. While the Federation does seem to treat his MA with genuine fear and anxiety, I can't imagine he'll do very well in a fight (based on the reasons I just described) unless we support him well. He could probably knock over Ruins pretty easily, but I really don't think it would be wise to send him alone against a well-defended Fortification or any kind of Fortress, really. Also, it would appear that based on the EF boards, they have become wise to the danger of orbital drops, and are preparing defenses against it. I believe the EFSF is returning to orbit to prepare a possible attack against them, and I found this lovely little thing in the EF shop: I see this being very bad for us if he tries to solo-drop New Amsterdam. Subsequently, I like to see his intervention in that regard delayed until we can get more troops to the area. I think that's it for now - need to check on some stuff and I'll see what else I can contribute. Oh snap. 0_0 Getting ready for bed, so I'll keep this fairly short for now and write up a bigger reply at some point tomorrow. I did have just a few things I wanted to say really quick, though: - The point about two fleets meaning 3 more MS and 6 more Aircraft support slots was something I had overlooked, nice catch! - I brought up your idea about PCs leaving their MS teams on the fleet momentarily and disembarking to purchase more Dopps in the chat, and Draco and Dan seemed to reach the same conclusion as you did - it would violate the RP'ing those characters had done so far. - I'm not sure if we outmaneuvered them or not...based on their boards they seemed to be honestly baffled by how long it took us to organize (again, my fault - a combination of things I would rather not go into but would describe if asked to). Although this confusion contributed to the "pounce" they made on the SS fleet (and I'm sorry for that), I feel that even without our delay they are probably unwilling to commit to a large, concerted operation to confront a PC fleet containing 8-10 PCs. Ergo it would be only natural they would pick on our smaller assets (the SS fleet). Honestly, though, I had anticipated at least part of this aspect of the campaign from the outset. I truly believed, and still do believe, that they (wrongly) believed South America was immune to attack, and would be less likely to position themselves to defend it. - You bring up several good points about Apsalus, and admittedly some of my reluctance leverage it as a solo tool of mass destruction stems with my overall frustration at how much potential I believe my friend is wasting. So, there's that. - If possible, it may be worthwhile to have Yuji perform an orbital drop on RF-3 in a bid to eliminate the leadership of RF-3 on Tuesday. This will require more evaluation and quite a bit of luck on our part (patrols literally CANNOT stop Tylatz anymore, I believe Ketara mentioned, so they would have to choose to stay in RF-3), but I'm pretty excited at the concept of Des Mielle being vaporized. - I'm not sure how Ketara will treat the Resupply Fleets. My hope is that unless they were scheduled to move already, the destruction of one shouldn't influence another (our RF mines didn't suddenly become better-defended as they were destroyed, after all), but that's just my opinion. That's all for now. I'll try to respond more in-depth tomorrow, but it tends to take me entirely too long to look over things these days. ^.^ Edit - One last thing: I meant to mention that I was hoping to get 2-3 Dodai II for the fleet in some of the vehicle slots, to get a few more of our MS in the air. That could be a slightly more effective way to budget our space than simply getting Dopps. I am going to post a little later today, but I have some points/plans on the Aspalus, as well as what I see happening with the SS members while y'all busy the main forces of the EFGF. I have nothing big or fancy to note. Just thought of an idea. On Monday, Strikey, who is at Jaburo. Buys a Medea, fills it with himself and some fighters and Paradrops onto the the Zeon fleet. He also purchases two flight supports to assist in the battle. That way, when the Zeeks hit one of the supply fleets the combination of the fighters already in the fleet and the ones Strikey brought with him should help make the air battle less of a slaughter. Not to mention that the Corebooster is quite good against Gaws so he may be able to damage one of them, slowing it down enough so the faster Medeas can escape. But I felt the need to bring that to attention. A few more quick things from me until I can get some dinner, at least: - Like Zero said, the EFGF is currently discussing the option of sending Strikey against the fleet through a Paradrop maneuver. By himself, he shouldn't present too much of a problem. As I've illustrated above, there are a couple more people still in the Pacific that could contribute to a counterattack - notably, Hirsch Munchek and the Waterproof Gundam. I doubt they send Prince Namor against us while he's at half VP, though. - We actually only have two aircraft slots open in the 9th's Fleet Support - Rhett Paruta is currently located at Fleet Support, and his MS team (mobile suits + Dodai) count towards both mobile suit and aircraft spots for storage purposes. - Based on everyone's rage and anger at the AU, I believe Chris said he would like the Apsalus II to assist in their attempted destruction this week. Subsequently, I have updated the timeline to reflect this, and we will have to worry about Archangelisk later or after Chris has posted his thoughts. - I had contemplated possibly trying to be cute, and splitting the fleet in two ( 2 Gaws + 1 Dobday, 2 Samsons + 1 Gallop). I had daydreamed about maybe doing this to prepare for Strikey's attack - we could have this second fleet perform a Patrol action, and hope to catch Scott Archer as he Paradrops from Jaburo. This would prevent him from participating in the defense of Matilda, although Chris has expressed displeasure at this idea and although I'm eager to do some tricky fleet maneuverings that the EF might not expect, the expected gain from such an action is circumstantial at best. So, I doubt I will push very hard for that. - Based on the current state of the AU, it's probable (imo) that they will leave Ramba Ral and the Resupply Fleet of ours alone until they can retreat from the area and regroup. Still, I think it's important we apply a massive amount of pressure to them in acknowledgment of their "achievements" - they have done more damage to us than the EFGF has. I will refrain from posting any ideas on how to confront the AU as it would seem Chris is taking the leading role in that regard, although I will probably chip in later with some important Rogue rules to remember. Maybe more later. PASTA FOR NOW. bwahaha Jojo and I went over this in IRC but basically the plan is to utitlize stuff in order to make it harder for the zeeks to destroy the supply fleet. More direct intel. Seems they're going to run interference. - Given the amount of damage Des Mielle has done to our mining operations, using Apsalus II against the RF-3 has my sound off. It's also nice to see Yuji making posts on the regular Zeon forums. I don't know if you talked to him, or what, but it's a good start. Hopefully, now, the rogues don't respond to his post by moving out of RF-3. If the African Union leaves RF-3, I suggest diverting Apsalus II to any of the other targets I've previously listed. - I agree with the Dodai II idea, to fill support slots. It might also be worth purchasing L2 or L3 pilots for those Dodai II, just so they're not a bottleneck against PC experience. - Hirsch and Gano won't be an issue until Day 2. Archer will certainly be hitting us Day 1, based on Zero's information. Chances are the Federation will paradrop Archer in with either fighters or snipers. Snipers could weaken our Gaws on Day 1, and leave us vulnerable to a more deadly encounter on Day 2. - I also disagree with splitting the 9th Combined into an attack force and patrol fleet. Too risky, for too little chance at reward. If we're splitting up our forces, it needs to be for a larger benefit... - Speaking of larger benefit. I am returning to the opinion that hitting both fleets, simultaneously, on Monday is the best of our options. Two fleets means at least one will not be engaged by Archer, and both could field a superior number of aircraft, without keeping us in South America another day. This is going to require a lot of number crunching, but please bear with me. Step 1) Rhett Paruta and Persephone Dawn and Noelle Everett (w/ MS Teams) leave the 9th Combined Operations Fleet. - Persephone Dawn purchases 1 x L3 Dodai II and 1 x L2 Dodai II for MS team. (203 - 150 - 50 = 19 RP remaining.) - Noelle Everett purchases 3 x L3 Dopp for MS Team. (450 - 300 - 54 = 96 RP remaining.) - Rhett Paruta retains his team. Effect: This gives us 2 more airborne MS, frees up 3 MS spots in fleet, gets Rhett out of support slots, and gives us 3 additional L3 Dopps. Step 2) 9th Combined Operations Fleet splits into Fleet 1 and Fleet 2. - Fleet 1 consists of Dragon + Schmerz + Swiss Miss. - FLeet 2 consists of Stilva + Liger + Sammy. Effect: Each fleet gets 6 vehicle support slots, and 3 MS support slots. Step 3) Empty slots on fleets... - Fleet 1 has Dragon (4 MS, 2 aircraft open), Schmerz (3 MS, 3 aircraft open), and Support (3 MS, 5 aircraft) - Fleet 2 has Stilva (4 MS, 0 aircraft open), Liger (0 MS, 0 aircraft open), and Support (3 MS, 6 aircraft) Step 4) Purchases for Fleet 1... - Duncan Keystone purchases 1 x L3 Xamel (525 - 500 = 25 RP) and 1 x Dodai II (25 - 25 = 0 RP) for MS team on Schmerz. - Ferusha Glavadeen purchases 2 x L3 Dodai II (875 - 250 = 625 RP) for MS team on Schmerz. - Ando Shoji purchases 5 x Dopp (296 - 90 RP = 196 RP) for Fleet 1 Support. - Ando Shoji purchases 2 x Dopp (196 - 36 = 160 RP) for Dragon. - Schmerz has 1 MS slot open, Dragon has 4 MS slots open, Support has 3 MS slots open. Step 5) Purchases for Fleet 2... - Ando Shoji purchases 6 x Dopp (160 - 90 = 50 RP) for Fleet 2 Support. - Stilva has 4 MS slots open, and Support has 3 MS slots open. Step 6) Attack - Fleet 1 attacks Matilda. - Fleet 2 attacks Woody w/ Rhett and Noelle and Persephone. This would be the makeup of both attack forces... ... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... I think that's about that. Either force is more than capable of taking their respective targets. Even if one of them gets paradropped on Monday, numbers should still be on our side. Our aircraft are more numerous, and we've got a ton of airborne MS now to take care of interferences. Our ground forces are also beefed, and between Infantry and Tanks and MS, we should be able to provide fire support, as well as recon support to take down any MS they drop in, and take down snipers. If we're concerned about their ground forces, it'd be nice if we could purchase a handful of L2 or L3 Doms for the respective fleets. In terms of strategy, I think both fleets would follow the same basic premise: use tanks and infantry and Doms to scout for Federation ground MS, put larger MS like Hildolfr and Xamels and Rhinocerous on fire support, and send out aircraft and airborne MS and Gaws to engage the supply fleets. In the case of Fleet 1, the only difference will be that Ritter is going to board Matilda's Medea to capture. Simple, and should be able to respond to any forces Archer drops in. After Monday, we could hightail it back to North America. Even if they send a large force against either fleet on Tuesday, we'll be on the run. It's easier to retreat against a large force, than it is to attempt to conduct a large strike against the second supply fleet while getting attacked by said large force. The only drawback to this plan, in my opinion, is that it's more complicated. It'd require a communications effort on par with the Combined Operations Combat Korps. If we do this, it needs to be decided upon tonight, and communicated to the regular Zeon by tomorrow morning. Word of mouth and double checking to make sure emails are sent in will be important. That's my long, long 2 cents. Ok... *stretches fingers* lets see here... Aspalus II[/u] - As long as he is willing to stay active enough to perform the necessary actions, I am willing to throw him at whatever targets we seem necessary to utilize the weapon. It does suck that we don't have someone more active or able to RP, bothers me possibly the most cuz I really would like a chance to RP and be more in touch with the SS members than he is allowing me to. - Agreed, I appreciate you prolonging the movement to Archangelisk, I feel dropping him into Area and moving him on base is best idea right now, and on same day have Daren ambush any rogues that would be in Central Asia. -Long term goals with him... We have all seen the movement for Orbit by the EFSF, and the EFGF's plotting against Aspalus. I am also pretty sure that Jojo is working out purchasing an An Anti Orbital Missile or whatever... My idea is to build up a Zanzibar, eventually refit to a Zanzibar II. WächterZanzibar II -2x Lvl3 Panzergrenadier -1x Lvl2 Zaku II E (D) -3x Lvl3 Zaku II HMT -2x Lvl3 Doms This isn't something I want built up over night, but rather to be assembled little by little, hopefully to be fully functional after like two weekends if possible. I'm not gonna do the math quite yet cuz we still need to worry about other pressing issues at the moment, such as Des and the AU Point of the Wachter is to bascially provide a shadow for the Aspalus II, using the MA towing rule, it can board and be towed by the Zanzibar II, providing a safety blanket for any trouble that it might run into in orbit, and back up for base assaults. I feel, that with this back up, we can send Yuji after more formidable targets than he could take alone. Schuzstaffel[/u] Seeing as the pressing matter at hand is dealing with Des and the AU, I am sending Daren after them first, and then looking to attack them with intent of capture myself first chance I get once I step into Central Asia. I will hunt them down. If they have escaped Central Asia, then while I repair my ships, I am going to have Aspalus re enter orbit, and drop Kayla. disbanding their team. I will be purchasing a Gallop for Daren and Finus to use, and have them enter North Africa, for the time being. I will, while they're doing that, enter the Indian Ocean and take out that Naval Convoy along with Aldo. Once those objectives are complete, or timetable needs to be sped up, had planned to move on Archangelisk, to regroup, reform a bigger fleet, and then hit Malta again. Now, for this to work optimally, I need the TAF to hurry up in S. America and engage the EFGF at West Arctic, take fight to them. I want my turn to run around enacting plans while you guys hold them off :-p No stalling or any of this, I've had to do it with minimal forces and planning in past, I have faith you all can do it if y'all are smart about it. (Engage 87th upon entering west arctic, take the fleet out first with purchased support over border.) Once we have concluded West Arctic and Malta, we can move on Belfast. or, if y'all are still engaged, I can offer support in West Arctic. Day 1-Yuji drops to Central Asia -Xavier moves into North Africa -Daren holds in Central Asia -Yuji, and Finus transfer funds to Daren (100, and 171 respectively) giving Daren 596 -Aldo Transfers 100 to Daren, giving him 696, and 175 to Xavier giving him 1075 Day 2-Depending on patrol actions and if we see them move off of RF-3, we will have Daren purchase a Gallop and hunt them down to capture them. If we can determine that they haven't moved, we use Daren on RF-3, with intent to capture them, using extra 100 to purchase Infantry services XD -Yuji Assaults RF-3 -Xavier purchase Jukon, forms Fleet, moves into Central Asia Day 3-By this point a lot is dependent on results from previous 2 days, but will have fleet move to Odessa to repair and refit third Jukon - unless the AU is still determined to be in the area, at to which I will mobilize against them. -Daren and Finus board Gallop and run into North Africa -Yuji re enters Orbit Day 4-Daren and Finus scour land for any AU, weather Jon, Des, or Maha. -Yuji drops on Kayla. Any suggestions, ideas, comments? o.O [/quote] Apsalus IICan the Apsalus II enter orbit without assistance frome a spaceport? If so, the Zanzibar would slow it down. If not, I think the Zanzibar is a good idea. Can Apsalus II attack targets instantaneously from orbit? I was under that impression, given its depiction in 08th MS Team. If so, why move it to Asia? To avoid the EF fleet? Guess that makes sense. SchuzstaffelAre we going into the Indian with just our Jukon IIs? Without flight support, we're going to have trouble. Donny and Hugo lack machineguns, meaning their only AA weaponry are bazookas. Aldo has a machinegun, but how effective will that be against 12 combat planes? 6 Dopps in the support slots are nice, and another 1 or 2 aboard the Jukons (better we get a Luggun in one of them) would give us 8 or 9 aircraft. Maybe we could spring for L2s instead of L1s. It'd make me more confident in the plan; especially with those L2 and L3 Tin Cods in the fleets. Also, how do the supply fleets have 9 vehicles in support slots? Do NPC fleets get extra spaces? Malta -- I'm not sure what the motivation is for this target. Mind elaborating? If we want Europe, it'll have to go eventually, but (imo) better to do it when we have support services at 1/2 cost. Regarding the TAF fleet's schedule -- yes. We need to hit those supply fleets and get the hell out as soon as possible. One of the reasons I favor the two fleets approach. That'd get us up into North America after Tuesday's update. -I was under impression, as a Air and Space ship with the (o) rating it could enter and leave orbit freely. -To avoid the EFSF ambushing him when he's fully repaired -Fill 3rd Jukon II with fighters/gun heli's plus 6 fighters for fleet support. -I'm done waiting and being particular about our targets, we need to hit something to make them react, put it back our hands and prepare for Belfast after West Arctic. And partially out of spite/for morale. -and yes! Much haste to the 9th! *will respond to your post on SA once I can get to computer XD* - I believe Apsalus II is required to move to an installation with a spaceport to return to orbit: - Furthermore, from my readings on the Zanzibar II I don't think it has an M-craft, so it is also limited to launching from spaceports to return to orbit. ~ - Okay, after checking over your ideas I love them, and I'm ready to agree to move forward with this philosophy and share them with the Zeon board. Would you like to make the post, or me? I'm fine either way, although I'll likely prepare a mass e-mail to get in touch with everybody to inform them of the situation if that's okay with you. I'll let you take care of the mass email, if you're okay with it. Got things to do this evening, and the word needs to get out fast. Thanks Matthew! This is complication that could occur - we may have gone over this before, but hopefully it shouldn't affect us that much this time. It'd kind of be a New Amsterdam situation if the paradrop prevented our assault -- meaning it wouldn't cancel out the attacks, I assume. So at best, Archer paradrops the main force before it divides, and gets slaughtered. Or he ends up doing what we're expecting, and paradrops one of the two fleets. The only other hole I'm worried about is the possibility of Rhett or Persephone or Noelle getting hit by patrols when they leave the fleet. Doesn't seem like that can happen, since fleets aren't considered a second location, and therefor none of the MS teams are "reentering" South America. We've been hurt by technicalities before, but it'd be a real stretch if they got intercepted by patrols... Dan mentioned the same thing in chat a few minutes ago, we're definitely going to check with Ketara on it but as far as I know they should be safe.

ZMF GoalsOkay, so basically I'm manic, bored, and eager to make up for my recent lack of posting / inactivity with a few threads tonight. BEAR WITH ME! There was a cool thread on the EF board that I liked, mainly it was a discussion about the goals that both sides had as far as targets and battle philosophy, as well as what they wanted to do with the stories of the characters they are playing. On my end I thought you guys might like to know what I see as our long-term objectives are to beat up the EF, since I don't believe I posted anything about that lately. Or maybe you don't! Either way, I'm going to tell you. ^.^ SORRY! On your end, I've been very interested in learning what people would like to do with their MS teams. So far the officers (myself included) have been making plans that rely on you guys being on-board fleets and chilling out there while we attack places. Obviously, space is a little restricted with this style of play and I think it could get boring after a while, so it's possible that we could maybe try to change this at some point. Subsequently, we would love to know your opinions and ultimate objectives for your MS teams. SHORT-TERM GOALS (WEEK 10-WEEK 12)South America / EFGF Resupply Fleet Campaign - I should preface this by apologizing again that it took so long to get underway. However, it would appear that such a delay gave us at least a slight advantage in that the EF was bewildered by our lax in activity and were partially caught off-guard. Based on intel scoured from their board, they seem unwilling or unable to act to defend their precious Resupply Fleets, especially with such "clean" (relatively) entry into the region. I am happy to report that as a result, it would appear (at least from this early vantage point in history) that you guys stand a really good chance at one of the fleets for sure, and probably the second as well. The death / capture of Matilda and Woody and the presumed massive influx of PC RP (and degradation of EF side RP) should send a very clear message: South America is not as secure as they might think. West Arctic / New Amsterdam Campaign - Immediately after the South American campaign we are looking at probably a siege on the New Amsterdam facility. Contesting the West Arctic is the easiest / most convenient way we have to link forces between North America and Europe, which will be important to transport a bunch of the 9th Fleet's ships in preparation for Belfast. I personally am also itching for a head-to-head confrontation with our EF counterparts - I am very confident that in a head-to-head confrontation, we have a chance to beat them so decisively they will be reeling for weeks. I know a few people (Dan included) have expressed concerns about such a battle, and would prefer to make a series of smaller, more tactical strikes to chip away at their war power. It's not a bad idea, but we will definitely be forced to evaluate our planned tactics closer to the expected operation time. Des Mielle - I, for one, will take full responsibility for failing to take this man seriously enough. I have been very lax on taking countermeasures against the AU, mostly because our RF mines were so poorly-defended by NPC forces ANYWAY, and because of how rogue mechanics work it is very difficult to plan in advance how to deal with a person who can very literally disappear and reappear at will. However, the destruction of RF-3 has demonstrated one thing to me: he has to be dealt with immediately. As Braddigan has pointed out to me, the destruction of Kimberlite would remove Earth Orbit from our control and turn it into Contested Territory. Jon, who is a member of the AU, still has a suitcase nuke. That kind of bad match means bad things for us. Fortunately, it would appear that Chris has this under control - and who better to punish him than Gihren's finest? MID-TERM GOALS (WEEK 13 - WEEK 16)Europe / Belfast Campaign - After the West Arctic has been neutralized, early plans are under way for the 9th Fleet and the SS fleet to meet up for a massive assault on Belfast. We were successful in scouting it before the Christmas break, so that's taken care of, and ideally it should be an awesome event either way. I expect us to make serious use of amphibious forces in this attack, because their anti-naval defenses are fairly weak considering the overall size of the installation. Atlantic / Bridge Campaign - This was something I proposed some time ago (around Malta, etc), but it was deemed unfeasible. However, I believe that after Europe has been declared Friendly Territory we should focus on clearing out the Atlantic some and building a base there (turning it into Contested Territory and removing those pesky patrols). IMO, it would be very beneficial to our Odessa attempts if we had yet another way to link forces between North America and Europe - after all, the best forces in the world can't help you if you are unable to maneuver them properly. LONG-TERM GOALS (WEEK 16 - ON)More Zeon Participation - I am especially guilty of this, and I realize a bunch of you guys are busy and don't have much time, but I would like to see some more Zeon RP posts, especially group RP posts when people are together on fleets. Game-wise, Specializations are key and the more of them we have the better. Also, however, I'd like to see what kind of stories we can tell with our characters. Stories are fun. ^.^ More Use of Rogues - I don't think this needs much of a description. Rogues are tricky, and way too often lately we've been on the receiving end of their trickiness. I would like to see us make more use of independent / non-EF contracted rogues, because hey, we don't want any more of them being drawn to the AU. Seriously, we do not want that. So, a little longer than I thought it would be, and I feel like I've missed out on some stuff, but there you have it! I look forward to replies! Especially if you are bored and want to write a lot. o.o I am pleased with how much you devote into planning. It's great to see a mind work. Other than that, your goals are very realistic. One thing I can say and back you on, is: TAF MEMBERS GET ACTIVE!I ask that our TAF members get more involved and voice their opinions on the plan ahead. While one great leader is good, multiple minds collaborating together make a deadly weapon. Contribute your strategies! Concerning the South American Campaign: I agree that one fleet is viable, but to get two fleets down will require some thought. We'll probably have to break down the abilities of each of our PCs and even our NPC force. If we utilize each one to the last detail, I think we can pull of taking out the second as well. I know I'm stating the obvious, but sometimes hearing it from multiple voices strengthens the hope that it can work. That's all I have to contribute for now. I just hope to see more opinions of our troops. It'd be nice to see where everyone's interests lie. Concerning Des: While poking around the EF forum (digging back), January 2nd he made a message to the EFGF regarding Alexandria...I can't read it, however, as it was already moved back to the black market. Likely selling a scouting report. I've actually found alot of disturbing things about Des. By the way it reads, he might as well be "EFGF Personal Rogue". There was even talk of him being on a payroll.... To note, I dug through all 7 pages of EFF goodness. I'd like to take a moment to applaud you all, reading their posts really gives us insight into their mind, and to how scared of us they were. It was actually awesome to read the siege of Manilla from the other perspective and what they were planning. How do we get a Rogue on our side when the one we had quit because he felt he was getting the shaft and any other Rogue on Earth is Tylatz's minion? Well, you're welcome, Zero. Enjoy it while lasts, though. I've actually found alot of disturbing things about Des. By the way it reads, he might as well be "EFGF Personal Rogue". There was even talk of him being on a payroll.... We could play that against them politically. EFF IS FUNDING TERRORISM!
