Aurem Senaiha
Enlisted Citizen
Rank: Private First Class
MS:GM Ground Sniper Heavy Gundam
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 145 lbs.
Hair: Short and brown
Eyes: Gray
Appearance[/b]:
Aurem keeps a generally clean looking style of haircut and dress. While not overly concerned with cleanliness, he does his best to look presentable. Most times he can be seen wearing the standard tan EFGF uniform with the collar unbuttoned if it is warm. Due to a serious injury received from the destruction of New Amsterdam, Aurem sports a vertical scar over his left eye. While Aurem barely notices the scar, to Arieta it serves as a reminder of the pain she felt when she nearly lost him, the frustration of not being able to help at the time, and the anger she felt toward the pilot of the Apsalus.
Personality[/b]:
Aurem is a quiet guy who firmly believes in the saying "actions speak louder than words," and lives his life accordingly. He doesn't speak much, only when he has to to avoid being impolite, when social decorum dictates that he should, or when necessary to ensure that life keeps running smoothly. Anything he does say is generally well thought out so as to avoid saying something untruthful or stupid. Conversations with him often seem one sided as his responses are typically condensed to short yet meaningful statements. He likes helping and listening to others, but because he talks so little he can be a little awkward to be around until you get to know him.
Example: Aurem would prefer to salute rather than say "Hello."
Lately with his growing relationship with Arieta, he's been making an effort to reach out more. This is especially true with Arieta herself, although the two seem to have worked out a system where Aurem is happy mostly listening with an occasional sentence to prove it, while Arieta does most of the talking.
While Aurem had been making improvements in his social skills with Arieta around, he's gone back to being quiet and introspective again after Arieta's injuries and coma following Jaburo. His thought are often darker and methods more cruel and efficient as a result of his new outlook on the war and Zeon leadership.
Aurem has achieved a rather high level of notoriety among both sides of the war as a result of some of his more conspicuous actions. These might include shooting down a nuclear missile mid-flight at Odessa to save General Revil, single handedly killing Garma at Jaburo, as well as destroying countless ships. Some might mention his in the same breath as other famous war heroes, such as Char Aznable, though Aurem would either deny this or simply ignore the statement altogether.
Aurem is also exceptionally gifted when it comes to learning new things. It generally takes one or two attempts at a new task before he has a solid understanding of what he's doing and is adept at the task he's learning. This is especially true if he screws up horribly on the first attempt, as the worse his first attempt goes, the faster he learns from his mistakes. Aurem rarely makes the same mistake twice.
Quote from Aurem after missing his first target in the GM Sniper:
"Dammit. Next time."
Aurem is of average physical condition with above average reaction speeds and solid nerves. Unfortunately since he learns so quickly, practicing sometimes gets boring meaning that he only masters the absolutely vital skills and the skills he is constantly forced to use. All other skills that he's learned are slightly imperfect. As a result of his failure to save Arieta at Jaburo, Aurem has been putting more effort into perfecting his skills to help ensure he doesn't allow the same thing to happen twice.
Overall Aurem is a loyal, helpful, and sincere guy with a lot of potential, follows orders well, and always tries to make the best of every situation, no matter how crappy the situation (usually) is.
Past History[/b]:
Aurem was originally an EFSF cadet, aiming to finish school and join as an officer. He met Arieta as he was finishing college and considered her an enigma. Her persistence and cheerful attitude eventually infected him, and he began to open up to her. One year later his home, Island Iffish, Side 2, was dropped on Sydney Australia. For a long time Aurem held a deep seated hatred for his brother, Xenos, who Aurem believed was partially responsible. Aurem later learned that due to a series of blows to the head and misfortune, resulting in amnesia, he'd forgotten how events had truly unfolded. Among the things forgotten were his girlfriend, Arieta, his brother saving both him and Arieta, and subsequent capture by Zeon forces. Aurem enlisted voluntarily in the EFGF in an attempt to get revenge on his brother. Due to his amnesia, Aurem had forgotten that Xenos was declared MIA after rescuing Aurem and Arieta, and was believed dead.
