That little tiny thing there, is our map of Japan. There are 7 provinces (or areas of the map ), the six on the map, and then the northern island, which is just north of Province 1, or Mutsu. That's not on the map because it's an uncivilized and Barbaric country, where few Japanese ever go, and gods and demons still reign. Fun stuff, huh. Below are a list of the 7 provinces, link to them to read descriptions. |

Province 1 - Muttsu Mutsu is very much the food source of Japan. If you want open plains, you go to Muttsu. If you want cheap rice, you go to Muttsu. This, along with the fact that it's huge, makes it the ideal place to have an empire. It's main problem strategically however, is also its advantage. It's huge, there are few mountains to bottle it up, and thus it's easy to attack. Locations Mutsu/Shinano Border - One of many borders in the game, a "Border" isn't a location per say, it's just a dividing line about a modern day mile or so thick between the two provinces. It makes it take 2 days to get from one province to another, basically. Note that if the two provinces holding the border are at war, the border will be closed to non-Samurai of the invading faction, and if you try to cross it otherwise you may be attacked. Mutsu/Ise Border Tokyo - The city of the Tokugawa clan, Tokyo is right next to the Tokyo bey, that little bey formed by the peninsula at the bottom of Mutsu. It's frankly a pretty strategic spot, as you have to come around the bey to attack it by land, or go through the Tokugawa navy to attack it by sea. Tokyo is the second largest city in Japan, and you can find basically any and everything there. If you want to think of what it looks like (or what any city in the RPG looks like), watch an episode or two of Rurouni Kenshin. Note that Tokyo has a port. Location inside Tokyo - Edo Castle - The Castle of the Tokugawa clan, this castle is hands down the most impervious of all the castles in Japan. 6 stories tall, having enough storage capacity to last weeks, and holding the Tokugawa army, I would definately not go up against these boys. Otherwise, really nothing special. Mt. Fuji - Right next to Tokyo practically is the gorgeous Mt. Fuji, an old volcano of splendid splendidness. They say spirits, monsters, and ancient Kami live on the volcano, many an adventurer has gone there to train. A few have come back, but most haven't... A note, it only takes one updates day to travel from Tokyo to Fuji, not two. Furisaka - An old town around the middle of Mutsu, Furisaka is a little different from most of the innumerable rice-paddy towns in the area. There is a curse on the town, apparently from a vengeful Kami trapped in a cave in the area. Anybody willing to end the curse would be honored with all that Furisaka could possibly give. |
