That little tiny thing there, is our map of Japan. There are 7 provinces (or areas of the map ), the six on the map, and then the northern island, which is just north of Province 1, or Mutsu. That's not on the map because it's an uncivilized and Barbaric country, where few Japanese ever go, and gods and demons still reign. Fun stuff, huh. Below are a list of the 7 provinces, link to them to read descriptions. |

Province 5 - Shikoku Shikoku is the land of the legendary Phoenix, and the legendary Naga. Many an Oni is said to live on this island, and the Yoshihisa clan is always looked at by the others as being a tad into the occult. But they don't mind, they do win quite a few battles. Their use of Shugenja and Sohei is quite awesome, making their army a small, but fierce one. Locations Satsuma - Port city of the Yoshihisa, Satsuma is a small town where you can read anything. Everybody can read and write, and everybody owns lots of books. Definately a nice peaceful island for you to go and contemplate the mysteries of mt. Suzuki. Location inside Satsuma - Satsuma Castle - To date, none of the other daimyos have actually been in Satsuma Castle, and ShimazuYoshihisa wants to keep it this way. The air of mystery surrounding this place is thick, and the magical fog they put around the castle to ward off Ninja is thick too. A very mysterious place. Mt. Suzuki - A mountain where, it is said, the legendary Phoenix resides, Mt. Suzuki is famous because, though it is one of the tallest in Japan, snow never falls there in winter. Care to go see if the Phoenix has anything you desire? Naga Mitsuhide - There's a small swamp on Shikoku, where it is known that the Naga live. The Naga are a viscious race of half snake-half men who fight like Samurai, cast spells like Sohei, are poisonous like Snakes, but luckily don't breed like them, there aren't many Naga around. They don't tolerate visitors, though they have been known to accept them on occasion. Their leader has an ancient artifact from Japans past, the famous Ring of the Void. Care to take it from him? |
