-Game- RPG of the Orient

That little tiny thing there, is our map of Japan. There are 7 provinces (or areas of the map ), the six on the map, and then the northern island, which is just north of Province 1, or Mutsu. That's not on the map because it's an uncivilized and Barbaric country, where few Japanese ever go, and gods and demons still reign. Fun stuff, huh.

Below are a list of the 7 provinces, link to them to read descriptions.

Province 2 - Shinano

Shinano is a very mountanous country, ruled by the Takeda clan. Surprisingly, they produce the best horses in Japan, guess it's the rough ground or something. In any case, the Takeda clan are known as masters of horses for a good reason, and anyone wishing to buy a horse should get it here. Unfortunately, even with superior horses, the Takeda clan has never been able to make good on its ambitions, always being thwarted by the fact that they have a small, economically weak province. Just can't get a big enough army.

Locations

Mutsu/Shinano Border - One of many borders in the game, a "Border" isn't a location per say, it's just a dividing line about a modern day mile or so thick between the two provinces. It makes it take 2 days to get from one province to another, basically. Note that if the two provinces holding the border are at war, the border will be closed to
non-Samurai of the invading faction, and if you try to cross it otherwise you may be attacked.

Shinano/Ise Border

Shinano/Harima Border

Kai - City of the Tokugawa clan, Kai is a small, hilly city with really not much going for it, unless your there to buy horses. The people there can be pretty rough, and if you don't watch your tongue you might have to find yourself a new head. It's located towards the bottom left of Shinano.

Location inside Kai - Kozuke Castle - Castle of the Takeda clan, this is a really neat place because it has a basement. Not many buildings in Japan have basements, but this one was built out of solid rock at the top of Kai, and is terraced into 2 levels. The bottom is merely a giant stable for all of the honorable Takedas horses, but the top is cool because, well, it's a normal castle, with a basement!

Ginzo - See that small island north of Shinano? That's the island of Ginzo. There's a gold mine there that was recently haunted by ghosts. There is a substantial reward out currently for anyone who can defeat or banish the ghosts and restore the mine. Don't have too much fun now. Note that Ginzo has a port.

Echigo - One of of our small port cities, Echigo is basically the place you have to dock your ships at or buy ship fare to go to another province by boat at Shinano. Other than that it's just a large fishing town.
